  1. Have they given a description of what changed? I assume new sensors but that doesn't affect me.
  2. How consistent your bucket weight is matters quite a bit in my eyes. Plated and lead vary a few grains which can drastically affect your PF. I always shoot for 170 average and all shots above 165 PF.
  3. I picked one up to build a minor gun. It will make weight stock but it will be borderline if you change anything. My plan is to Tri-top it for faster slide speed and less weight. Then FLGR and dawson magwell along with a trigger job. The factory trigger is horrible in my opinion but I don't shoot anything with a factory trigger.....Ever.
  4. I am a fan of the case pro and own one. For 9mm, I would Not bother honestly
  5. I keep debating since I can tri top it myself and lose 1 oz. Could lose a little under the grips as well. Just no real use at the moment since almost every match I shoot favors major.
  6. The door on stage 1 got a lot of people, including me. I should have played it safe and didn't. Live and learn
  7. I got a little over an ounce when I did my 5 inch. Plan on 1 ounce and you will be pretty close
  8. I found the very back of the feed lips had worn a groove from the rim of the bullet. Filed it smooth and all mags stopped nose diving. I have had to adjust the feed lips in a little before. The mags have 100k live fire and lots of dry fire on them
  9. Start at 12 and work down. I wouldn't run any higher then that.
  10. The tripp corey 10mm mags only hold 9 rounds. They feed much better with long loaded ammo in my experience. One gun will run shorties, the other won't. I would stick to standard .40 mags that hold 10 rounds if you are wanting to load short.
  11. How long before you guys have to replace mags? My .40 1911 works for about a year with Tripp Corey mags before they die out. Hoping new mag springs fit the nose dive issue that just started but was curious others experience. I shoot 50k a year and dry fire fairly often.
  12. Got mine today. While I could have built one, it would take way too long. Hopefully I get it set up next week.
  13. Bulk orders at target barn are the way to go.
  14. Not unless you found a way to do some crazy mods. They have made 5.4 inch models fit.
  15. What's the feed ramp angle? I always recut mine to 30 degrees and feeding becomes smooth as butter. A raised EGW mag catch is very helpful as well. A normal (not raised) SVI mag catch is also raised quite a bit and helps. Round nose bullets do feed better. What recoil spring weight are you using? I have tried nearly 12 different kinds of mags in my two .40's. I found the mags didn't seem to make any difference.
  16. Makereadyproshop.com had some a few days ago
  17. I actually took a class with Tim Herron late last year. Very informative and gave me a lot to work on. I'll see if any of the local guys are offering classes later in the year. Thanks for the list. EDIT, Josh.....Josh....Josh.
  18. I actually have a class scheduled with Ben in a few weeks and plan to do another in the fall if I can find someone local. Good point on the getting help.
  19. Decided to start an internet log of the next year. I have been shooting USPSA a little over a year now. I'm A class in limited and SS. Mostly a SS shooter though. My goal for the year is to shoot 50k rounds in practice. That is 4 days a week of livefire, 4-6 days of dryfire for 15-20 minutes a day. Hopefully this propels me to M or GM. This week started with working on 25 yard bill drills. Cold time without any warm-up, 4:09 with 3A / 3C. Would like to be closer to 3.0 with mostly A's. I'll keep updating my progress.
  20. Welcome. Lots of good matches. Port Malabar rifle and pistol club Central florida rifle and pistol club Wyoming antelope club Volusia gun club. I'm sure I am missing some. There is a facebook group called North East Florida Competitive Shooter that is a good source of info. There is a central florida one as well but can't remember the name at the second.
  21. Seriously considering ordering a 1050 and mark7 autodrive. I plan on shooting 50-60k of .40 a year between myself and father. Will be dedicated to only .40. I'll keep my other presses for the little 9mm we do. I am currently using a hornady LNL AP with good results but it isn't crazy fast and fighting elbow issues from so much reloading / shooting. So mark 7 and 1050 or what? Any issues to be aware of.
