  1. I'd definitely sbr a PCC to eventually suppress, but definitely not for sport shooting. Adds too much trouble for travel and I don't see the benefit on performance to justify it ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 8.95 seconds, 67 pts 7.4860 HF.. Showing 80.06% in Single Stack. This is a decent classifier, that middle target certainly makes you have to focus in the middle of each pass or you'll pay the price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have a production rig set up with ghost pouches facing out... When setting up a single stack belt I wanted it to be as similar as possible. Turns out ghost makes some relatively cheap spacers that adapt their pouches to take single stack. So now I've got my SS rig set up exactly like my production. It's a good system since part of the season I'm shooting SS and then production, doesn't require a lot of mental retooling to get rolling either way. I think the ghost pouches with the spacers are pretty decent, they retain the mag well and are easy to retrieve from.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I agree with the above... I added a MBF last year to my 650 set up for 9mm and it rocks. Took very little adjustment, I've loaded Montana gold 124s, xtreme 124s, and about 6000 blue bullets- also 124gr- all with no further adjustment once it was initially set. 5. I would definitely trust my competition guns for that role.. I put thousands of rounds through them and they RUN! My only hesitation in carrying any of them would be the trigger weight I prefer for competition. I like light triggers and I would not want to have a carry gun set up with a sub 2lbs trigger pull Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just picked up my second one from a very recent classified listing. When tuned up right, they are sublime, flat shooting guns. My friends Shadow has a slightly better trigger, but my Stock 2 runs faster and flatter. You are not helping...
  7. This is funny. I was thinking the same thing. I've been VERRRRRRY tempted by a couple of the listings recently.. Thankfully a couple trade offers I've made have not been accepted. I went to CZ last year and love them, however, being a gun nut who's always looking I have had my eyes on a stock 2/3 for a while. Hopefully I've convinced myself to leave all that alone for a while and just get better with my CZs... But time will tell. One things for sure all the listings on classifieds are NOT helping! 8. I agree with above. I wouldn't mind having some cool new base pads .... But for my $ it's about the last thing I would spend on for production gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I like this. I never did much steel challenge mainly because it's just not popular around where I live. IDPA was a good opener for me. It's very reigned in and scripted so a good place to experience competition at a measured pace. Once you hit USPSA things speed up and a lot more responsibility on you to be competent with manipulations and movement.. And the there's Multigun! Tons of fun (tho I could stand for 2x the rifle and pistol and about 25% of the shotgun- but that's another discussion) but I think if I had tried to jump into a Multigun match before I did anything else I would have definitely felt overwhelmed. 10. DAA belt, blade tech holster w/ boss attachment for production - also have a Safariland 5197 in their USPSA mount for single stack - ghost mag pouches for each. In my opinion the blade tech / boss and Safariland set ups are about equal. I'm totally happy with either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If there is an option to shoot in better weather obviously I'd take that... Last weekend Saturday was good to go and Sunday was cold/rain so I opted for IDPA on sat rather than a rifle / pistol on Sunday. Good to have options! If only option was Sunday I would have bundled/wrapped up and hit the range in spite of the weather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. http://tarantacticalinnovations.com/firepower-base-pad-for-cz75-4/ Not sure what the increase would be in .40, I'm guessing max +3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Having someone get good 3rd person video is definitely the most helpful. It's a little bit of a PIA to ask others to do it for you all the time and I frequently don't bother (even tho I should). POV video is not totally worthless tho.. I find it lets me confirm if I'm wasting time breaking my first shots on target or transitioning. As well as allowing me to see where I could possibly be more efficient in my weapon manipulations. All in all any video is better than none to review later and identify your issues, but 3rd person is best all around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I sent the vids.. Let me know if they don't show up.... Here's a taste.... It was great! Haha! http://youtu.be/obF80c8955s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yes I bought the drill bit when I got the sights (an extra $3 or something close) and drilling the sight was very easy. Much easier than hammering out the old rear sight!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If anyone obsess's about these things (I do) they can spin the bit and dull the side of the bit with a stone before using. Screwed up, thought the competition sight was the one I looked at on your gun & ordered accordingly (swine memory). I suspect it will suit me just fine though. Only difference is the squared corners correct? Still a big upgrade over stock!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Check www.slickguns.com last I saw they had some $199 deals posted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Just switched to a tachyon guncam HD. Only got one match down so far but the vid is solid. Perspective is good and quality is good. I mounted it on the bill of a hat using included hard lock Velcro. It sits fairly low and does not feel bulky on the bill. MUCH better than the GoPro in the same location. While I like the lower (behind the sights) angle of the pivot heads I found that sometimes they would become useless if I dropped my head a little while shooting. With this new set up that is not a problem at all. http://youtu.be/Aj526LuxSnE Another option for 3 gun or rifle matches is to use one of the supplied curved mounts and double sided tape to attach the camera to support side earmuff. Not a bad angle.. And the camera can pop in and out of the hat or earmuff mount very easily to be switched as needed https://youtu.be/SUPOKRF9EjE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just placed an order for 11,000 125gr RN coated bullets from SNS for delivery at the upcoming Indiana SS/Prod major match. Came out to about 6.1 cents per bullet after bulk discount and less the shipping charges. That's pretty decent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've got the CZ compact and the XD. Seems like the XD sight radius makes things a whole lot easier for me personally (about + 1" over the CZ). A different rear sight on the CZ might cut the XD advantage down by half though. As is it is really hard for me to shoot down zeros on something like stage 3 of the classifier with the CZ but with the XD it doesn't seem any harder than with my ssp gun. sightlength.jpg Ya I can see how that extra inch could make a big difference. I'm currently waiting on a delivery of a new sight set from CZC, went with the h-tac black rear and fiber front that hopefully makes it a little better. The factory sights are NOT great. Other than that I really like the ergos of the CZ and hopefully that translates to a decent performer. Time will tell Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Added my newly acquired sights to the cz compact. I now believe this will be a great option for CCP. HUGE improvement over stock sights. 23. https://youtu.be/SUPOKRF9EjE Borrowed another shooters gun and ran one stage after the match was over. Fun stuff. I can see how this could catch on! Great! A new reason to buy another gun... Like I needed that haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I would say if you carry a g19 with optic and already shoot a g35 in limited then a glock model in CO would be the natural choice. And that's coming from a CZ convert.. Like you'll hear from most people, the gun won't make the shooter. If you like shooting a glock and are confident with it that will likely be the best way to go, same with CZ or Tanfo. Now if you were currently shooting a hi-point then I would probably say yea a new gun will make a BIG difference! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. These have caught my eye recently... Reviews seem great ... I have no personal experience with one, but very possibly might add it to the collection this season...
