  1. I just mounted a deltapoint using a Cheely mount. Seems like a great mix. Ejection has been good with no interference from the mount at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I just got my first open gun so limited experience here- but the mbx mags I got for it have all been flawless. That said they're a bitch to load fully, but I assume that's the case with all mags like this. My factory mags have worked as well, but obviously have pretty handicapped capacity in stock form Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Shoot production for a season... you'll see a reload point at every footstep haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Well damn. Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones!! I got mine last week. 350 rounds through it so far and I'm very happy not a hiccup with the first load I've tried. That being said I put Cheely mount and deltapoint on it as well as an aftec extractor before I shot it. But since that it's been great. I read about some of the possible massaging that might be needed ahead of time so I was ready, but pleasantly surprised so far. I had not read about slide cracking. That would suck. A lot. 5. I just got my first open gun this week. Put a few hundred rounds through already and eagerly waiting to shoot my first match with it on Sunday. It's awesome! I'm coming from single Stack and production, so the fact that I can shoot some stages without reload and all with at most 1 is blowing my mind haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Haven't checked but I'll check on that. Thanks for the tip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Update on mine- upon putting more rounds thru this set up I've found it's not reliable with winchesters. Had at least 3 light strikes in a match yesterday. Gonna have to do some more testing with a heavier spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Makes sense. Thanks for all the effort you've put in! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I added a bolo and titan hammer to my stock 2. It already had a bodkin trigger job so it had a good trigger. But now great. With the 12lbs PD hammer spring it has touched off factory primers, as well as S&B, Federal (obviously), and some Win. I haven't taken a gauge to it yet but I'd venture a guess that the DA is in the 5lbs range and SA in the 2.5 range. And the above posters are not kidding. The bolo/titan/extreme sear changed an already polished and prepped trigger dramatically for the better. When I get a back up I'll buy those 3 parts and get to polishing. 10. Shit. That sucks. Sorry to hear it. Thanks for passing on the info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Welcome! Congrats on a good performance at the Indiana 400! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Whew! Smoking run. Great reloads! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I shot my first USPSA match in sept of 2014. First 6 months or started off slow then really got into dry fire. Initial classification was Production B. About 2-3 15-20 min dryfire sessions per week and 1-2 live fire sessions (250-300rnds). I also shot about a local every weekend unless there was a major, and I shot 10 majors total in 2015. Made A class in sept 2015. Continued live fire, local matches, and majors this year- had some issues keeping up with dryfire. Same pace for majors and made Master at the July update. Considerable match improvement (from 283rd to 61st at SS nationals and 115ish to 61st at Prod nationals). I can definitely tell that my game picks up when I put the time in to dryfire. I KNOW I need to do it more, but keeping up with 3 kids makes it tough to be able to shoot as much as I do and keep up with at home training. It can be done, I just tend to lack the motivation. Here's hoping that changes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I've been using Tapatalk and with the recent changes its been very hit or miss. Wasn't able to log on for most of the last week. Happened a month or so ago as well. Tapatalk is not overly stable at times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Been another couple months since my last post. A lot has changed for me, mainly we moved to a new house. While that is a great thing for life and the family, its certainly impacted my skill building this season! My practice sessions have been few and far between, and when I do get out it seems like I struggle to make good use of the time. Well, we're settled in now so hopefully that's all going to change. Update: I was able to sneak into Master class in production! Whew! Just barely, at 85.11%. Pretty pumped to get this done within my first 2 years in the sport (cutting it close as the update was 1 day shy of my 2 year anniversary). This has been a goal of mine, well making GM is a goal, so this goal is in line with that. I am streaky with classifier performance and actually as of late had hit a bad patch. No matter how many times I tell myself to make sure I get my A's, when the timer goes off I throttle down and its a blur. As to be expected, ZERO good classifier performances come from this approach. Actually its the rare times I am able to shoot the stage fully controlled that I end up with a decent score. I know a lot of people, almost always people who've already achieved GM say not to worry about classification and thats fine. It makes sense to focus on match performance goals. Achieving a top classification is a goal of mine too, just like improving my match % finishes in majors. Lately it seems like I've hit a spot where my speed has progressed a little but my accuracy was kinda left in the dust. Toward the end of last season I found myself getting much more accurate. The last major of the year had me just shy of 95% of possible points, however, my overall time was terribly slow. I was averaging 4-6s per stage behind the top finishers. This year I've made a point to pick up the pace a little. It is showing up in my stage times decreasing, but also my % of points as well. I am happy with my improvement in speed, but just waiting on something to click a little in my training to allow me to be more consistent in seeing my sights on each target. Its not that I'm running around like a mad man chucking shots all over the place, more that on several stages in a match I'm allowing 2 or 3 targets on a stage to get the better of me- not showing them enough respect and paying for it with D's and M's. A lot of times it will even be on a close target that I take for granted rather than a tough shot that I just didn't make. Heading into August I have possibly 5 or 6 more Majors this year. I am going to make a serious effort to shoot clean matches, rather than worry about keeping up with stage times. My most recent Major match performance, Ryan Rocks Charity Blast. It was a fun match, kinda kicked my ass though for reasons mentioned above. I ended up with 4 mikes I think on 8 stages.. not great. Somehow ended up as 1st A (2nd Major this year where I finished 1st A), so that was a good way to go out of A class and start into Master.
  16. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Haha not my work! I haven't worked up the nerve to start on mine yet. I did pick up the bolo disco and some extreme parts (Titan hammer and sear) so I'll have to get it done at some point! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My stock 2 trigger job,DA 5lb,SA<2lb https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?/topic/230719-My-stock-2-trigger-job%EF%BC%8CDA-5lb%EF%BC%8CSA%3C2lb&share_tid=230719&share_fid=16618&share_type=t Some pics in this thread with highlighted areas on the disco Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I put a cmc 3.5# drop in straight trigger in mine and it's worked fine. I've only shot <150 rounds thru it, but no issues so far. I guess I'll keep trying and see how it does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We are in the exact same boat! I wonder how many clubs don't pay the activity fees... Can I pay my own fee to get my scores posted? How much would that be? Same thing happened to me! Worked my ass off and finally got the scores and a bump to M! Or so I thought.... Activity fees didn't get paid and no luck for me. I know it wasn't an intentional error- but it's still pretty damn frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would definitely be interested in this. Just got a tanfo and my only gripe is the lack of an option like the vz Diamondbacks that I he on my CZ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I also have a 75 compact for a carry gun. I polished internals and put in the CGW defensive trigger kit w/ short reset. It's a great shooting gun. Still has an appropriate weight trigger, about what everyone is quoting above, 8/3.5ish. I also got a set of sights from CZC that were a HUGE upgrade from factory set up. Overall, I believe the gun is an excellent option. I would probably also look at the smaller P series model, glock 19 sized and I hear a lot of good things about them. 22. I thought the same thing, but this is absolutely not accurate. I ran a m&p9 pro in production last year. My blade tech holster fit perfectly ... Without significantly loosening the retention screws my m&p40 would not even insert half way down into the holster. And even with the screws opened way up it still fits MUCH tighter than the 9. The slide profile is noticeably thicker than the 9. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. have you looked at the MOS model Glocks? Already milled for a red dot. https://us.glock.com/mos/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Here is the 7.5 at about 22 yards (give or take- I walked it off). And this is from a covered area to bright sunlight. I'm pretty happy with the intensity of the dot. It seems much brighter than the 6moa cmore slide ride I have used in my very limited time so far with an open gun. It is large, but I think I'm going to like this set up. Now I just have to wait several more months for a gun to show up... I really like the clarity of the glass compared to some micro dots I've used(heavy blue tint RMR).
