  1. Doesn't look like he does slide lock reloads very often
  2. And where is your evidence for this? I believe it was the president of USPSA that put out a briefing on the adoption of carry optics, it was said the 3 went to USPSA to get carry optics as a division. This was posted on the various forums, it is not a secret. USPSA Seeking feedback, companies expressing their views of current USPSA trends, and the Pres and BoD responding is not the same as those companies coming to USPSA saying, "we want you to make this." It seems to me that members of this forum were the driving force behind the initial concept and that once the BoD saw the industry's movement towards carry guns with Optics, the board decided it was time for USPSA to make a place for this platform instead of having to play catch up later. I think this is the Pres and BoD reacting to the environment.

  4. That's not a Production gun. Sure it is. M&P Pro series 5 9mm (29.2 oz.) Ported models are allowed providing that the barrel is non-ported and the other requirements are met.
  5. That's great. I look forward to seeing your coverage and hope to bump into you at CO Nationals

    P320 17 round mags?

Mine are pretty tight. I don't know if they have made any changes in newer mags to give a bit more breathing room for #17.
  7. I don't think this is a correct statement.Where did the weight limit come from?Smith and Wesson, Glock and Springfield do not dominate production, CZ does, the 3 manufacturers lobbied USPSA for carry optics, only reason for a weight limit was to exclude other guns. There was no lobbying or conspiracy by the three gun makers you mentioned. I think for most of them the USPSA population is too small to care about much anyway. Strader proposed the weight limit as a way to get back to what he saw as the intent of Production division, where the guns used do look like more typical guns that you find behind the counter and would in fact use for carry or duty. He discusses that here on a Stoeger podcast https://youtu.be/57amGsXImQo I personally like the move simply because it doesn't lave us with an obvious best gun to get to be competitive in CO. There are now a lot of options that could be equally competitive.

    Sig P320

Bruce just mentioned on Facebook that the drop in trigger kit "will be revealed at Shot Show."

Bruce is promising that the kits are coming. He has been buried under a pile of Legion triggers so I am not sure when they are coming. You can always have a local FFL send via USPS. Another option is check it on the plane and arrange to get it to Bruce while at Shot. Either way definitely run him down and corner him about status of drop in kits.

Unfortunately my flight doesn't get in until Sunday night. Bill Garland, one of the GMs on Team SIG, said that he might attend this match now that he knows about it.

I will be at the SIG booth on Tuesday. Swing by and say hi.
  13. 600ish... I am a die hard Glock guy, but the 320 is nice. It has a better trigger then the glock (even a tricked out trigger). The only issue is their aren't a lot of parts for it yet, and it is still just left over P250 slides. But when Taran comes out with a base plate I may switch over. There are several styles of base pads available now. Springer Precision, Obsidian Arms, and Taylor Freelance all make different styles of plus zero extensions for the P320 today. Springer Precision and Taylor Freelance also have 140mm mag extensions good for about 23 rounds in 9mm if you use the right springs.

    320

What Patrick said. They are called X-Change kits and include the slide, sights, barrel, guide rod/recoil spring, grip, and one magazine. Just toss in an FCU and go. The price on them is a bit high but when you register your SIG online you get a one time use code for 20% off. Also, I heard an off-hand, unconfirmed report that the price might be coming down on the X-Change kits early next year.
  15. In textured a large FDE the other day. The index point and trigger undercut wouldn't work for Production but the rest would be good to go.

They shoot really soft. I was very surprised at a group I shot off of a triple tap at the range the other day. 2/3 size USPSA target in use. Trigger is a basic Timney 3lb drop in.

I just saw that Lantec has a brake threaded for the MPX. Expensive but it's hard to find good brakes in that 13.5x1 LH http://www.lantac-usa.com/AR15-M16-M4-Rifle-Accessories/DGN9MMC.html

Yes. He will also have it available in his typically array of colors (blue, red, black)
  19. Scott Springer has had quite a bit of time playing with P320s now. He would be the first person I would ask.

Alma, just to confirm, these new guns are in the wild?I noticed they revised the frame as well which is pretty neat, ie the fence around the new slide stop. Yes, the author of the article bought a new Full size 9mm and that's how it came from the factory.

SIG does have a third adjustable stock that it just released but it looks like it sold out of the initial batch of those. Hopefully that supplier is a bit better at restocking. Also, Scott Springer is making an adapter for the folding MagPul AK stocks, +10 magazine extensions, and a barrel shroud.
