  1. Good point. Just under of the guns shot at this year's Production Nationals wouldn't make CO weight.
  2. Provisional division announced at the end of a season with and note to reassess before the beginning of the next. It's no wonder that we don't have a ton of participation to show. At least now we know from the BOD minutes that CO will go on through 2016 with minimal changes to the current rules. I expect we see a strong uptick in participation early next season now that we have some promise of stability.

    Magwell repair

You want Devcon 290. It's a black plastic epoxy. You could actually even use it to completely fill a dime sized hole, and then sand it down and polish it if you had to. It's a bit hard to find and isn't the cheapest stuff out there but it should give you the results you are looking for. It only gives you about the minute of work time before it starts to set but the advantage is you can sand in as little as five minutes.
  4. Any word on the P320 RX? Or even a milled slide without the sight dovetails for the Romeo. I think it's just waiting on the final release of the Romeo. Bruce Gray said that he thinks this is in a final Production state now so hopefully it will be soon. This was taken at a law enforcement convention last month:

I have been using Red Hill Tactical holsters and mag pouches for USPSA Production and I really like them. the sight channel is pretty high but you can always contact Robert King and have him make one that's a bit taller. Use the codes pictured below at www.redhilltactical.com for a black Friday discount or check out his ebay store. I suggest getting a double layered kydex holster for some added rigidity. They also look cool. Get one of the aluminum drop/offset hangers while you are at it.
  6. Wow! I guess it is poised to make it out of provisional division status.
  7. There are a few things that are definitely different. The Romeo 1's battery loads from the top versus the side tray. Also it has a notch in the rear to make cowitnessing sights easier.
  8. The Romeo 3 is only available with a 3 MOA dot correct? Correct.
  9. Do you know how well they stand behind them? That is an interesting dot. I have a Vortex Venom on back order. I have never been disappointed with Vortex after the sale. Five year warranty on the electronics. Lifetime on all other aspects. http://www.sigoptics.com/product/romeo3/ http://www.sigoptics.com/model/romeo3-1x25-mm/
  10. I picked up a SIG Sauer Romeo 3 last week and someone pointed out that it looks very similar to the RTS2. http://www.opticsplanet.com/sig-sauer-sor31001.html Any idea where the RTS is made? I have the the Romeo 3 mounted on my MPX right now and so far it's looking like an excellent upgrade over the Cmore railway that I had on it previously.
  11. Try a SIG P320 with a small grip module. For about $45 you should be able to find the small grip which changes all of the grip and reach dimensions instead of just changing the size of the back strap. I am unaware of any smaller options on any gun. If you needed even a little more reach the you could add a Springer extended magazine release.
  12. Disclaimer: I am a sponsored shooter from SIG - Not that it's hard to tell from my profile picture. There you go. I hope it makes a difference for you. I am not paid by SIG to post (or shoot for that matter) and the opinions I post are my own. I prefer any statement I add to stand on its own versus having to cite affiliation or classification standings to demonstrate value. SIG has some cool things brewing and I wish I could say more.
  13. Plenty. Hopefully we will see something at the Shot Show.

This is an extension for using compact magazines in the subcompact. Other options are available if you aren't looking for added capacity. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/595585/x-grip-magazine-adapter-sig-sauer-p250-compact-new-style-magazine-to-p250-subcompact-polymer-black

The only big advantage would be the removal of the raised notches on the sides of the magwell, giving you a more standard flat profile on the side (as shown in the first picture). That would then, of course, require you to grind of the matching tabs from your factory base pads or move to Springer Precision .25" extended base pads. It's obviously quite a bit more work to reduce the full to fit compact magazines so for most people I would just recommend going with the Compact grip.

Looking forward to the pics! I ordered a Compact grip for my SC gun and want to see where you cut it... For a Compact grip, tape it up so you have a good line and take your hack saw and cut just behind the very first rail. You can smooth it out with a file and sandpaper from there. You can also make the angled cuts in at the bottom and on the sides if you want but it's not necessary. Here is the chopped full size small grip that I posted before but with the SC slide. I did add a magwell flare at the front among other things. This is with a Compact magazine and a Springer Precision .25" extension that still fits in the box. Here is a Large Compact grip chopped for an SC slide (obviously this is the Compact slide pictured) and a Large Compact that has had a lot of material added to make it an XXL grip (full size slide on here for the picture). Both have Obsidian Arms base pads that have had 0.10" removed from the bottom to ensure box fit. And here is that XXL grip with the SC slide in a BUG sized box just to show you that it still fits.

There are a couple of reasons to cut down a full or a Compact grip to fit the SC slide and Compact magazines. Slightly more grip and slightly better fit with your existing holster would be the first two on my list. That SC small grip is way thinner than the Compact or FS small too. I know a coupon guys who successfully ran Compact grips modified for the SC slide. I will post pictures tonight of some of the mods I have done if I haven't played already.
  19. This was discussed in Front Sight in a write up on stage design. The same rule was sighted.

There is a railed subcompact grip available but even that has a different trigger guard. I think the best option is to have one of the many custom holster makers make you an outside the waistband holster. The other possibility is to use a cut down Compact or full size grip since that would allow you to easily use a standard Compact or even full size holster.

This is too good to not share.
  22. Please contact Farly Collins at North Salt Lake Welding and Fabrication. Several places make these now but Farly is the originator of both the Polish and Irish plate racks and he could answer any questions that you might have about them. He is also an outstanding guy and a huge supporter of local and regional USPSA competition. http://nslwelding.com
  23. Does anyone have hole pattern measurements for any of these? I would like to compare with the SIG Romeo. The report I heard is that the Romeo 1 is similar to the Delta Point but if someone can share the measurements of Delta point mounting pattern I can confirm.
