  1. PractiScore has been up and down most of the night, but mostly down.

    P320 Limited gun

Here is the Springer Precision brass mag well. It adds 6 oz.
  3. I am. I just checked the pull weight and it looks like it's 2lb 5oz pulling straight back. Very fast and breaks clean. I haven't owned a wide variety of triggers but for me it's easily better than the JP and the Timney that I own. Not having to worry about light strikes is definitely a huge bonus as well. Because of how light the break is I feel like it's a bit easier for me to sneak up on the long range targets from a trigger pull perspective.
  4. I wouldn't be running a Timney 3 lb unless you want light strikes in that rifle. Maybe a 4lb in the AR10 if going for the drop in style. I am really liking the Hiperfire 24TH. Under 3lb but hits with way more force due to the design.
  5. From the September 10 USPSA Down Range mailer: "Carry Optics Division USPSA We just discovered a bug in EzWinScore 4.14 that causes PractiScore imports with Carry Optics to fail. We apologize for the error, and we will have a maintenance update available in a day or two. Until then, register Carry Optics competitors in Open division as a workaround. "
  6. DNROI has heard and answered. Great to see this type of clarification coming out in a more official format. http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-NROI-ruling-details.php?indx=61

    CZ-75 CTS LP P

I have been running a Red Hill Tactical holster in Production Division all year and it's easily my favorite holster. Get the double layered design as it really adds the the stability of the holster and improves draw consistency. The hanger is also well worth the money and is a huge upgrade from a standard BT DOH.

    Sig P320

As you know Team SIG has been running the P320s hard in various competition venues this year and we have been faring very well. At this match Mason Lane lead our group taking third place in a field of more than 100 Production shooters. We also had team members finishing in at 9th, 19th, 25th, 27th, and third high Lady. We have been very impressed with the capabilities of the P320 and with the little tweaks to the platform that have been pioneered by Bruce Gray and are all looking forward to see what Bruce and SIG come up with next. Here is some compilation video of the Team at this event.
  9. I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am appreciative that FNH gives some leeway with slugs targets and doesn't try to stuff in buckshot elements just because a shotgun can shoot them. The game ends up being plenty complex without having to incorporate more categories of shooting with the 3 guns you are using already.
  10. Yes to this. If you shoot at it at least then maybe a 5 second miss. I am not afraid to admit that I sucked at this. I hit the first one but missed the next five. My score was bad but apparently would have been somewhat better if I would have ignored them altogether and just shot the remaining steel.
  11. In pistol shooting (USPSA anyway) there are different penalties for targets that you don't get another chance to shoot at. Stationary targets and even most targets on a swinger are quite different as they continue to be available. Not saying I don't need much more practice on that kind of target but they are fundamentally different because of difficulty and limited presentation.

    P320 Limited gun

I like it for sure but was very glad to be able to approach it's weight (6oz) using a combination of the STI stainless steel magwell (2.5 oz) and the brass slug insert (another 2.5 oz).

Is there any interest in weighted inserts that are attached into the channel inside the mag well? I installed a prototype brass one into a large grip frame other day that added 2.5 oz. I think we would be a bit short of 1.5 oz for a medium grip frame byt we are still looking at some alternative materials. Please let me know your thoughts.
  14. It was a unhit target, why change the penalty? I do like clays that are thrown when a popper is knocked down though. Black Sheep Clay Kickers for straight upward targets give the most consistent presentation for that type of shot. I guess because it's a disappearing unhit target. I don't think it should be the same penalty as one of those poppers that's still standing at the end of a stage or something.
  15. Definitely please lower the penalty for the clays and perhaps the number shot in that manner.
  16. Maybe this one? http://czcustom.com/CZ-Competition-Rear-Sight-1.aspx That looks very tall too.
  17. I notice he never mentioned what rear sight he is running. I have heard of others CZs not passing the box test. The HAJO hight adjustable sight doesn't use the same cut as the Target SP01 and looks to sit very tall on the gun. My guess is that he is running a HAJO. I haven't measured one but it might pass if you compress the sight or adjust it to its lowest point but maybe it's time to get some new sights or some 17 round magazines. http://czcustom.com/czshadowcomprearhajo.aspx The new Target 2s look pretty tall too so I would proceed with caution there. On another thread the RM chimed in that it was the metal EGW box that was in use which is the the official USPSA box as far as I know.

Here is where I am with my 3 Gun pistol.
  19. No, but I have heard of others having troubles with the HAJO since it's so tall. http://czcustom.com/czshadowcomprearhajo.aspx
  20. Chuck, I am in the process of hoarding rail sections and tac lights. Does it look like a bipod would help on the long range stages? If not then that is one less thing to buy. Thanks!
  21. Those hight only adjustable sights are pretty tall. I think it's likely that the rear sight adjusted to the lowest position would just fit the box whereas if set higher might not unless you compress the rear sight before setting it in the box. The Shadows Targets that milled a dovetail for an LPA sight didn't have this problem.
  22. Plus you might occasionally shoot a match where every stage isn't made up of eight round arrays.
  23. Looking forward to the match. Will the sight in range be available for use?
