  1. Not sure how old you are, but I became very prone to golfer/tennis elbow/ tendonosis when I hit my mid 30's. Some times you get used to it and the pain goes away, other times dropping the activity for a while is the only answer. After several years of dealing with this, I've started to become aware of when it's starting to happen and take that opportunity to take a day or two off from whatever activity was causing it.. that usually gets me back up and running until the next time.
  2. We put that on my back stair case because it gets slick when it rains. Damn near had to paint over the stuff the last time I painted. It was not happy about my attempts to remove it. So if you are putting it on a gun, do it right the first time!
  3. I love that blued shadow. I wanted to have my beater Pre B blued, but went with black T instead... you are making me regret that decision. I really see no benefit to going to a SAO on a Shadow. If you aren't competing, you are probably shooting mostly SA anyway and if you are wanting to compete, you need the DA/SA unless you want to get blown out shooting limited minor. The Pre B disconnector or CGW disconnector will fix the issues you have with take up in single action. I'd start there, it's a sub $50 part and pretty straight forward to do yourself, particularly if you go with the CGW drop in unit.
  4. Are any of you guys running the Perman's with the integral magwell? If so, how's it hold up?

    Magazines?

They should work, I use the 17 round mecgars with the blue follower with my Sp01 Shadow. I only use the factory mags for dry fire.

    11.5 Main Spring

I've had one in about 1000 rounds of CCI and Remington primers through my Automatic Accuracy Shadow with the 11.5. Will probably try to switch to federals when I get through this last couple K primers I have left.
  7. You can trick out an 85C with everything you want for less than the cost of a base Shadow, if budget is a concern.
  8. Mine just hit 14 months, just now getting back to shooting with any kind of regularity. Of course, my reloading room is right next to the baby's room, so no reloading while he sleeps.
  9. Lol. That BAR might be the most OG 3-gun setup I have ever seen. That is awesome!
  10. A GM will only lose his GM status if he requests it in writing. once you earn it, it's yours. The other scores you see are invalid for some reason, most likely B flags and D flags, if I had to guess. It's the best 6 of the last 8 valid scores, the valid scores for a GM would be from 90-100%, so anything below 90% would throw a B flag. For a D shooter, it's still the best 6 of the last 8 valid scores, but the range is from 2% to 40%, so there is no B flag... any craptacular bomb of a run in the single digits (greater than 2%) is going to count towards your % and potentially knock a much higher score out of the revolving window. The situation I am in, is that I have 7 scores on file and a D classification. I have two more that have been submitted, that should move me above the 40% threshold. However, uspsa won't run the scores again until Oct 15. So I have two coming on and one falling off as of right now. But lets say I go bomb a classifier this weekend, i'd have two scores falling off and 3 coming on, so there is a chance that a bombed classifier could move me back below 40% before the uspsa runs scores again on the 15th, since I'm not officially a C class until they process the scores.. I'm not sure if I am making it clear.
  11. That's my understanding of how it works in states that restrict magazine capacity. Would there be any guns really impacted in non magazine restriction states if L10 was eliminated? Wilson KZ45.. which I've always wanted, and dang near talked myself into using L10 as an excuse... alas, the cons always outweigh my want for that particular gun.
  12. It was purely theoretical saying that if I am barely above the line, but bomb a classifier before October runs, it could kick me back below the 40% threshold. It is highly unlikely I shoot another classifier due to a business trip to the other side of the planet. But say you have, in order of newest to oldest: 39 - Y 40 - Y 41 - Y 12 - F 33 - Y 48 - Y 13 - F 42 - Y as your most recent 8, your average is 40.5% assuming you do not shoot another classifier before they run it again. But lets say you do, and shoot a 9%, then your window of 8 most recent scores would look like this: 09 - F 39 - Y 40 - Y 41 - Y 12 - F 33 - Y 48 - Y 13 - Y and your average would be 33.5%, because the 42 is no longer in your most recent 8 (replaced by the formerly "F" flagged 13) and the 9 is not below the bottom threshold of the D class (2%) and would not get a "B" flag. The 42% would be flagged "E". Where as if a C shooter that is close to bumping up to B class shoots a 9% stage, it gets a "B" flag because it is more than 5% below the bottom of the C scoring band. Shooting you a pm with an actual example.
  13. The 9% would be a valid score, in the most recent 8 for a D shooter. It might be B coded but the 42, falling out of the most recent 8 would drop off. If it was a 9% for a C shooter, it would be a different story. It's neither here no there, as I don't think I'll shoot another classifier before October scores run.
  14. I'll check those out if I ever get serious about SS. My Wilson mags are tough to seat.
  15. Been pondering this myself mainly because it seems that a downloaded 40 mag would be easier to seat than a 8 round 45 mag.
  16. I have very few complaints about my KJW hi capa. I caught it on sale at evike for less than $100 and got a CO2 magazine for an extra $10, which is handy for winter time when the gas mags do not perform all that well. I've got about 10k rounds through it with little issue. The only real complaint I have is that it shoots way high with .2 g bb's, like two inches high at 7 yards. I've switched to .30g bb's and the accuracy is much better, but the bb's don't run as well. I think it is a bb issue and not a gun issue though. The other minor complaint is that the orange nozzle is painted on the barrel and not a plastic removable nozzle, so that causes some fit issues with my holster as I don't want to take a hacksaw to the outer barrel. There are probably nicer, more expensive, 2011 clones, but I'd buy another KJW tomorrow if mine crapped out on me. 2nd on the propane adapter. Get that, some coleman camp fuel, and some liquid silicone and you are good to go. Waaaaayyyyy cheaper than green gas. I'm intrigued by the compressor conversions, but then you are tethered to the compressor and can't do any reloading drills, so I'll keep running the gas mags.
  17. Does anybody make a contoured thick aluminum grip? I too prefer the palm swells of the OEM rubber to the flat aluminum grips and have gorilla hands.
  18. You can't score more than 5% below the floor of D class, so I think the 9 would play.
  19. But the d band runs from 0-40%. so if I shoot a 9% and a 42% is my oldest score, the 42 would fall off, correct? Do you understand what I'm saying? The 9 would not be counted as one of the two lowest scores, but it could force my score lower by bumping a higher score out of the most recent 8. Unless I totally misunderstand how the system works.
  20. So if the classifier calculators are right, I'll barely bump up. That being said, if I shoot a crappy qualifier between now and the next time it runs, I could have a better score fall out of my most recent 8 and be replaced by that crappier score and move me back below the c threshold the next time they process the classifications. I could be mistaken, but if I have 3 scores added, then 3 old scores fall off.
  21. The match posted today, so as long as I don't bomb something between now and next month, I should be good.
  22. Congrats! I should have, but it looks like my club didn't submit the scores.
  23. Mine measures 4mm internal width which is like .156 inches or so, I believe.
