there seems to be the possibility that the hole for the extractor spring is machined too deep into the slide and prevents the spring from compressing enough against the extractor to provide reliable extraction when there is a round pushing up against the round being extracted.

well, a tuned up shadow definitely has a better single action trigger. but this is more balanced to stay on target after recoil. balance makes it easier for me. but, the best part of this gun is the trigger reset for try fire because of the trigger return spring. to me, that will make this much easier to really get better with since you can train your muscles for the continual trigger pull in dry fire since it mostly resets. it's as accurate or moreso than an accu shadow and has a faster time getting sights back on target for me. and better dry fire. i'll trade that for the accu single action trigger.

shot mine today for the first time. very very easy to manage. easy to be accurate. got a holosun 570c at the range (got a great deal on it too). overall, i can see why this will be a good choice. sights drop back to your initial picture quickly without having to adjust too much. trigger is ok. overall truly fantastic.! pic is 5 shot groups at 10 yards after sigthing in (federal premium 147gr)

i spoke to Krystl and Sphinx not too long ago and she said that the Duty size were available (same as SDP Compact, but with full size grip for 17 rnd magazines) and that the Full size will be available this year. Is that the only difference between the Compact and Compact Duty (slightly longer grip and 2 more rounds in Duty)? correct. longer grip to hold 2 more rounds. soon to come will be the full size.

just got one myself at a price i couldn't pass up. i too am concerned about CGW indicating they would no longer work on upgrading the Sphinx ...

shot an SDP compact with alloy frame. it felt fabulous in hand! placed an order for a full stainless SDP Compact. eagerly await arrival, but it could be a little while. fingers crossed. in the meantime, shooting my CZC Shadow.

i'm in the same boat looking for a new toy. 2011 or CZ sp01 shadow ...

i use a towel and grip tape. my hands sweat like crazy, i used to play competitive tennis and went through overgrips once every 2-3 hours. ugh

i use some nice prescription lensed oakleys that were also my motorcycle riding glasses. ANSI approved lenses available.

i wish i could go to them, but i started teaching again tuesday and thursday nights. ugh
