  1. I like the curve better than the flat myself. My finger seems to find the same spot on the trigger each time. It's basically a preference call. I can't see where one or the other will make you a better shooter once the buzzer goes off.
  2. Where those front cocking serrations stock? For the life of me I can't understand why any company who makes 1911's with the adjustable Bomar style sights doesn't put front cocking serrations on as standard. Grabing those rear serrations on an unloaded table starts sucks. That rear blade will take the skin right off.
  3. I have a SIG Max and a Range Officer in .45. And used to shoot a Trojan. Can't go wrong with any of them. I myself found I like the feel of the frame of the Range Officer better than the others. Especially with thin grips which I just found out. Out of all three I'd say the Trojan was fit better all around. I don't mind a little wiggle in the slide to frame but barrel fit and lock up are important to me. The Sig I can push the barrel down at lock up. Not a lot but it moves. Not uncommon for production 1911's. Still shoots straighter than I can hold it. I will say Springfield has their sh*t together when it comes to barrel lock up. Tight as hell. At least mine are. My biggest complaint with the Range Officer is no front cocking serrations. I'll get that changed one day. Don't really need $700.00 more into it to make a great gun. LOK G-10 Grips $50.00 Dawson magwells $95.00 Dawson FO front sight $40.00 Wilson Combat front strap checkering cover $10.00 (It actually works really well) Brazos Tuned trigger group $155.00 Recoil spring $10.00 My 2 cents
  4. Interested in this myself. I've got a 1911 that will some times follow to half cock only when I shoot several rounds (4-8) rapidly.
  5. Dawson's run great in my 9mm Range Officer. Easy to seat fully loaded too.
  6. Ramshot Competition is a great .45 powder also. Prima V is my go to 9mm powder. Will try some SV in .45 someday.
  7. Most if not all of the shooters who look through my Romeo 1 think it sucks. Except on cloudy days. ? It's a shame because it's a very durable sight in my experience with it.
  8. He told me he's running 115 grain bullets at 1100 fps out of that gun.
  9. I just pick up the SIG 1911 Ultra Compact and I'm very impressed! Tight as hell. But very smooth. And for my taste the trigger is perfect out of the box for a carry gun. If you pull slow you can just feel the creep of the Series 80 firing pin block then crisp break. If you pull the trigger like your really going to shoot it just feels like crisp break. I'd guess around 5#. I don't like Series 80 on my competition guns but I do like it for carry. Also has night sights and aggressive front strap checkering. Typically go for $949.00. Along with Wright Leatherworks holsters I love it.
  10. The 320 RX wasn't out yet so I bought the MK25RX last summer. But I did use the entire slide. I'm getting close to 10,000 rounds on my Romeo 1. It has never lost zero. My only complaint is I wish it was brighter like the Delta Point Pro.
  11. A Wolff or ISMI spring? In my experience there is a noticeable difference between Wolff and ISMI springs with the same rating.
  12. I'm going to give this a try. I had to give up shooting my favorite,... Single Stack (major) because of tendinitis in both my elbows. As a sheet metal worker I've had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands and have been battling tendinitis in my elbows for the last fifteen years. Throw shooting fifteen to twenty thousand rounds of .45 ACP in a year and I finally had to put up the white flag. Wish me luck. Thanks
  13. Ramshot Competiton is another great .45 powder.
  14. Prima V is now my go to 9mm powder. Cheap, runs cool, and super clean. And I've had no problems with accuracy. But I'm not a Bullseye shooter either.
  15. So the Red Hill Tactical holster will fit the Boss Hanger correct?
  16. Barrel link as well. Or at least measure it and buy a replacement in case it breaks. EGW makes quality barrel links and they are cheap to replace.
  17. http://www.meisterbullets.com/AWSProducts/306-C-24-P-0/Slug-Kit-5-Flat-Rate-Included Probably a cheaper way but this was easy.
  18. Haven't slugged a P320 but I shoot .357 diameter SNS bullets in all my Sigs including my daughters P320 Compact. I was getting some leading from the .356's so I slugged my P226 and P229. @ .3555/.356. I quit using Titegroup and went to the .357's. My barrels are like mirrors now even after hundreds of rounds. Its all I buy in 9mm now.

I'm sure they will have a 226/Romeo conversion kit. But when,...?

    P320 RX

LOL. I lost one too last year. Ordered three spares after that.

Only if you don't shoot Alphas. I've only had a couple stages I thought It was a disadvantage. The ones I shot sloppy. IMO the biggest disadvantage would be for the Open Classifiers.

    P320 X5 Thread

With over 10,000 rounds on my Romeo 1 the brightness is my only complaint. I don't care if I have to put a new battery in once a month. One would think that if Sig is going to make the Romeo 1 the P320 X5 optic they would step it up.

The comp is new so just starting.
  24. I put 10,000 rounds of SNS 147 Flat Points through my P320 @1.135 without any failures.
