    G43X

The 43X grip is about 1/16” longer than my G26 with 12 round factory mag. I like the idea of the longer grip on the 43X. And a little thinner would be nice.

    G43X

Do you find the grip of the P365 kind of small? Width is fine, but the length from the front strap to the back strap is uncomfortably small for me. Ive shot one and they do shoot nice. I’m a huge Sig fan but carry a G26. I’d buy a G43X before the P365 .
  3. That is actually milled off on both sides. I had weight reduced on the rear of the slide.Had it milled for a Delta Point Pro. It’s still a work in progress so I just cold blued where the finish was milled off. Being a 1911 shooter most of my life my thumb just rides there.
  4. I’m converting my Carry Optics G34 into an Open Minor gun. I had a blast shooting Open Minor a few years ago. At local levels you can be more competitive than you think. Just got the KKM barrel and Alpha Wolf comp for it. We’ll see how it goes.
  5. Prima V meters fine for me also. Just keep it topped off.
  6. I use Ramshot Competition for USPSA for .45 and love it. But wanted to come up with a full power load using 230 gr coated lead bullets. Since Prima V is now my go to powder for 9mm I’ve got a bunch of it and the burn rate seemed about right IMO so thought I’d give it a go. Plus it runs cool. 5.2 grains of Prima V with a Black Bullets 230 grain RN @ 1.250 OAL was an average of 855 FPS out of a Glock 41. (5.3” barrel). Recoil feels like Winchester White box. No signs of over pressure per the Winchester primers. Pretty stout, don’t think I’d go any higher. Will chrono some out of my 1911 soon. More used to it and I’ll get a better feel for it.
  7. Group with Gen 4 G34 at 25 yards. 115 grain @ 1200 FPS. I have a G26 Gen 5 but not a very good comparison.

    Enlarging Grip

To bad Glock doesn’t make a large frame option for 9mm, .357 Sig, and .40. I like the large frame of my G21 and G41 much better than my G34.
  9. After using other brands, thr Red Hill double layer competition holsters are by farmy favorite.
  10. I run the 21 round magpuls for CO. Work great, and got them on sale for $15.00 each a while back. Coming from Single Stack I can always find a place to reload on a stage. So the 21 round mags hasn’t seemed like any disadvantage. Oops. Sorry OP for getting off track.
  11. https://www.glockmeister.com/Mag-Extension-Adds-No-Capacity/productinfo/GMPLUSZERO/ For $9.00 each these are great base pads. I’ll have to measure one.
  12. Seems the “High Bore Axis”didnt slow you down any. ? I love these reviews. Thanks
  13. I like the rolling break feel of the Ghost 3.3.
  14. Ramshot Competition is another great choice for .45 ACP. At least for 230 grain.
  15. By far my favorite holster.
  16. Redhill double layer and DAA mag pouches work great for me.
  17. I use the magpul 21 rounders and they work great! I don’t see the two less rounds as a real disadvantage. Always a spot to change mags.
  18. Thats nice! How much does that Vortex weigh? I could have gone lighter but wanted to focus the weight reduction on the rear of the slide. I wanted to see how it shoots before I decided to make anymore weight reduction. I’ve got slow-mo video of the G34 shooting before I sent it off to have the work done. So I’ll shoot some slow-mo video when I get it back to see if there is any negative difference. Thanks for the reply.
  19. The stock slide was 12.4 oz. with slide lighting mostly in the rear the slide now weighs 13 oz with a Delta Point Pro. So we will see how it shoots soon.
  20. My G34 slide that was milled for a Delta Point Pro is only half an ounce lighter than it was stock. Per Leopold web sight the DPP weighs 1.9oz. So I will gain 1.4 oz in the rear of the slide with the DPP installed. I know its not an exact science but I’m thinking make my lighting cuts only in the rear of the slide. None in the front. Educated thoughts? Any Glock MOS owners ever do a recoil/muzzle rise comparison with and without a Red Dot Sight? And did you notice a difference? Thanks
  21. Has anyone weighed their slide before and after a red dot sight was installed? Question: Was the weight of the material removed equal to, more, or less than the weight of the red dot sight itself? Thanks

    Good to know. Thanks!

Got an update on this trigger system? Looking at the same one myself.
  24. My Springfield RO 9mm has been flawless for 4000+ rounds. (I’m running Dawson Precision mags.) Done some minor polishing on the fire control parts and inside the frame. Put in a Dawson extended firing pin, 17# ISMI main spring, and a STI trigger and get a consistent 2 3/4# pull. I usually run Brazos tuned trigger groups so I’m curious how long this stock trigger group will last.
  25. “The new gen has a different shape to the hood which protects the lens better, has an option for larger protective hood, and is brighter. I am not sure on the timeline though.” From a undisclosed source at SIG.
