  1. Your right earl I looked up the 2019 catalog and while most pistols use the d style release the 75b still uses the old style release I would have swore I seen regular 75b with the d style release but maybe not.
  2. The new 75b models use the d style just like the shadow does. Older 75b models use the circular style mag release.
  3. If your planning on shooting minor it would be ok but your gun won't last long shooting major. If you want to port it add 3 or 4 vertical ports and a comp and it will shoot really flat.
  4. Oil and solvent Haven't found anything better than motor oil and acetone.
  5. That is not normal for a CZ send it back under warranty
  6. Ya chopping a promag down and running a gram follower cost less than 50 bucks.
  7. I completely agree with sarge I clean my open gun every 4 or 5 matches without issue. If a gun won't run without cleaning and lubing every sub 100rds something is wrong.
  8. Those are some big groups yicks. How is barrel to bullet fit. Like said above your bore is more than likely .3555 so .357 would be best in lead but .355 would probably be ok in copper bullets. If that doesnt fix it I would install a cgw 10x bushing and/or a different barrel.
  9. Ya I know its 5 now but I still wouldn't even be concerned till its above 10.
  10. I casted lead bullets for years and shoot indoors and had my blood levels tested I believe it was 3 or 4 but below the new range limit. Biggest way to get lead poisoning is touching lead than touching your mouth or food. Couple years back anything under 10 for adults was acceptable so your fine.
  11. You should start selling those to the masses, they look great.
  12. John what comp is that? And how does it compare to the sjc11 port.
  13. Most CZ barrels sluggish at .3555 so ideally the best lead bullet would be more than .0005 over bore diameter. You'll know if your bullet is under bore diameter your get gas cutting and terrible accuracy.
  14. I had to do the same as kneelingatlas for my 170mm, I know Taylor freelance was considering making 170mm base pads for the cz75 at one point maybe you could check with him or setup a group buy.
  15. 1. Ya that all sounds normal 2. The nubs your hitting are held up by 2 springs underneath them which is were you getting some resistance. when the slide Mark's are lined up the rear of the slide is probably fighting the hammer causing the resistance there. Cock the hammer and see if that changes it, will still be some when the slide runs over the hammer.
  16. Cz barrels tend to be faster. When making major in my open shadow i can use quite a bit less powder then people running 1911s with 5in barrels and make the same PF.
  17. I'm going to shoot a indoor match with them this thursday so that will be the real test. I'll let you know. Outside I can't tell any difference.
  18. I fell it does a much better job keeping the gun flat compared to other powders like WAC just because of the amount of gas created/charge size. Oh course if your running a 124gr bullet your losing some of that due to the lower charge.
  19. Yup its my favorite major powder so far. 115gr Oal 1.140 9.7gr aa7 Winchester brass and fmj bullet. Also seems to work fine with coated bullets my oal is about .050 shorter tho and the charge is just reduced a tad.
  20. The canik is a good value for the price point but of the ones you listed none of them hold a candle to the Shadow 2 IMHO. Save your money and buy the CZ
  21. Same here run a 10lb recoil in both my production shadow and open shadow (major). Never broke a slide stop in any cz
  22. The cz factory comp hammer is a good hammer but has inferior hook design. I have had to send 2 different comp hammers to CGW to be recut at a different angle. I personally like the look of the CZ comp hammer more then the CGW hammer but the machining is much better on the CGW hammer over the CZ factory comp hammer.
  23. From the looks of those guns im gonna say there in the 1993 to 1994 range.
  24. We are a sponsor on the forum, we sell mostly ar-15 stuff but I have a soft spot for CZ pistols so we sale the mags for them just above cost in the clearance section on the site. https://aerospacearms.com/clearance/
  25. I wish they offered 170mm extensions for the small frame CZ's.
