From my experience, you do not need different springs or followers if you go with the extended basepads unless you want to get maximum capacity. I went with the Taran basepads on my Mecgar mags. There are other options such as CZC and Springer Precision that would give you the additional capacity.

I've tried the stock rubber grips, the thin aluminum grip tape, Lok bogies palm swell and Lok bogies thin. I've also tried the SSI Scales 1.0 on a friend's gun but did not like that one at all. I've have not tried the 2.0 version yet though. Thanks to Rowdy's post, I picked up the Hennings. They are by far my favorite and I have no regrets moving from the Lok grips. I'm pretty certain every CZ owner has a whole stack of grips they've bought and tried. The best bet is to see if you can find another shooter with different grips than yours and ask if you can try them.

I went the route of just replacing the hammer with an Apex hammer. According to Apex, all non-performance center parts are MIM and performance center revolvers after Jan 2012 are also MIM. I know a local guy who does revolver work. He has bobbed the MIM hammers before. The .400 or .500 should refer to the hammer spur width. If you are bobbing it, it shouldn't matter.

Jabuie is an authorized agent for Ionbond. Jabuie does not do the actual coating. When I reached out to Ionbond, they informed me that they do not offer direct retail sales to individuals. The other recommended agent was Evolution Armory. Pricing seems to be better at Jabuie.

It’s a prototype thumb safety. It has a wider and longer paddle to rest your thumb. Ergonomically, it felt better although that could also be in combination with the Cheely grip. I would reach out to Atlas to inquire directly as I did not see anything on their site or FB page.

I also use ProGrip from the bottle. The annoying thing about it is that it leaves white stuff everywhere but I feel like every grip enhancer will do that.

We were at Area 8 yesterday. Atlas had a Nemesis built on PT stuff as well as another Nemesis style gun built on a STI Frame and the new Cheely grip. They have thoroughly tested the new grip and had some feedback for Matt Cheely. Cheely is going to create a custom Cheely grip for Atlas that is more grippy. If you do not want it grippy, Adam from Atlas said he can take the points off as a option. Atlas has a new thumb safety which felt REALLY awesome. If your preference is for Cheely parts, Atlas may build it using either PT or Cheely parts in the future. It then boils down to preference of builder and style.

I have the same issue with a newer racer pouch. My older ones do not have this issue and it was originally set for 2011 mags. I just switched everything for production. We we had a stage with an unloaded start and I had trouble stuffing the mag into the newer pouch but no issues with my older ones. I’m going to try and bend the spring to see if tension goes down for the new pouch. It seems easy enough to bend the spring a bit and I’ll compare it against my older spring.

Dave, it’s labelled as Shadow 2. Will it work for the Shadow 1’s as well?

I believe Angus mentioned it in the video earlier. It doesn't have to be machined but the rear of the slide will not line up with the frame. The frame will stick out the back. If you cut the frame to match the bull slide, your regular Shadow 2 slide will stick out too far.

That's the wide body mag. I purchased mine from them. I contacted them and asked if they worked with my Marvel Conversion. They said yes with some modifications. They modified the mags for me at no extra charge. I've used them a few times on my 2011 with no issues.

What stone did you start with? I don't have a mill so I need to do it by hand as well. My concern is scratching the outside part of the recoil spring channel. I have a unique slide and have to remove about .005 from the bottom of the slide. I'm also mulling using sandpaper instead as I can have a safe edge where it would not scratch the recoil spring channel. I have to see what sandpaper would be the most efficient for this.

Dawson used to make the Para base pad extensions. With some tuning, you can get the 126mm mags to fit the gauge but since they stopped making them, you would either need to buy them used or just buy some new 140mm mags. I ran mine as is for a while but eventually pinned the grip safety, swapped out the recoilmaster, stippled the grip and swapped out for a flat trigger. Yes, I would say you have to do some light filing to fit the X-Line but much easier than fitting a SVI trigger. The X-Line goes all the way into the grip but is a VERY tight fit.

I agree that having a gauge will help whether you buy your own or borrow one. I was at A8 as well. I check all my mags before a major match as the RO at chrono just grabbed a full mag from my belt without waiting for me to provide my empty mag. It's cheap insurance from getting bumped to open.

I went with the PT insert in my DAA Alpha-X holster as well. One thing I noticed was the grip screw that holds the front of the grip to the frame would move around and hinder my draw. I had to file the spacer down so the grip screw would not shift around as much. Once that was done, everything was smooth. Repetitive dry fire may also help loosen things out.

It went for repair. I got it back and sighted it in. It's all good now but I suspect I'm pretty close to the max elevation. I haven't put too many rounds after sighting in as I'm trying to wrap up the year in limited.

I tried nail polish as well as hair dryer. No luck. The chicago screw just kept spinning around. I finally got it loose by touching the screw with the tip of a soldering iron. It broke the loctite loose and made removing the screw easy. Best part was no damage to the kydex unlike the hair dryer.

Have you tried to reach out to Nelson Custom? They responded very quickly to me when I asked if their mags work with the Marvel Conversion. They said it does not normally but they will make some modifications for it to work. I have not really put enough rounds to say that it works or not.

Funny, I just got a DAA thumbrest. The screws supplied were too big to fit into the stock CK hole. I was just going to ask and my question was already answered. I'm going to order some longer ones and will cut them down to size as well. Thanks for answering the question before I even ask!

It's on it's way back to C-more right now. I'm hoping the replacement works better. If not, I'll need to find the rail mount and throw it on my 22lr pistol to play in rimfire pistol open.
