I have an AccuShadow and my brother has a Shadow. I was planning to start reloading for both but I noticed the OAL recommended for the CZ is much shorter (1.135 OAL) than what I've been loading for my 2011 or 1911. For my 1911/2011, I've been loading to 1.163 OAL. I have a reamer that I've used on my 2011 so that it can load longer. The CZ is pretty much stock but I was curious as to whether I should ream the barrel so that it can also accept the longer OAL. This way I can use the same rounds in both. Is there any harm in this? My 2011 rounds can be loaded into the CZ magazine with no issues.

That is probably it then. I suppose you can cut it down into a bushing barrel though.

I'm in NJ. I'm willing to ship the barrel to the gunsmith.

I'm not 100% certain but I was told so by a gunsmith. Would you be able to recommend a gunsmith that would do it? I can also check with KKM.

I was originally going with a 6" build 40 S&W 2011 and have a 6" KKM barrel. After some thought, I was thinking of changing to a 5.4" barrel. I was told that cutting down the 6" is a bad idea. Where can you find 5.4" barrels other than Schuemann? I see there are some KKM 5.4" barrels for .355 but not for the 40 S&W.

My 126mm measures about 122 mm without the basepads. It looks like there were 130mm mags made back then when I did a quick google search.

I had an issue with some of my STI mags not falling free in one of my STI grips. It did fall free in some of the newer STI grips. We stripped the grip from the frame and noticed that there still was some drag on the grip. We wrapped the mag with a layer of very fine grip sandpaper and slowly inserted and removed the mag. After a few inserts, the mags drop free now.

I purchased one in December last year for my bull barreled Edge. I could not lock the slide back after installing it. I reached out to Dawson and they said that some recoil spring tunnels are cut slightly undersized which is why the reverse plug that came with it does not work. You have to use their reverse plug as it is cut slightly to catch the guide rod. Dawson has a undersized reverse plug that they sent to me to resolve the problem. If you run into issues with the slide not locking back, just reach out to Dawson customer service.

Out of curiosity, what are the shooting times for each day and is it hard to get a slot on a particular date/time? I'd like to try a level 3 match but my only availability is most likely Sunday or if there is a Saturday afternoon session.

I have Metalform and Tripp 10 rounders on my STI Spartan. No problems with either one. My buddy has ETM mags for his DW Pointman. Pretty much jams once or twice a stage.

That's good news. When would you expect to have them in stock for the DA/SA version? I took a look at the site. Is it the CZ 75 SP01 Shadow Custom 2014 Black under the CZ Pistol Custom?

Given that the Shadow is discontinued for 2014, what are the options without breaking the bank and getting an Accu-Shadow or Shadow Target?

Thanks. I think I'm going to look into the Ultra-Lite S/d NFPB set from CGW. It includes 11.5# and 13# springs, CGW firing pin, FP spring and FP block spring. In addition, I'm considering the CGW trigger pin, reduced power trigger return spring and the tuner pack of recoil springs.

I'm curious as to what else the competition trigger package entails. The DA pull on my Accu is a hair over 8. I was talking to another guy at the range yesterday and he let me try his CZ 75. The pull was noticeably lighter. He mentioned swapping out the mainspring but I'd like to know if there is more to it than that. I've heard swapping out the firing pin would also be good if swapping the springs.

Hi, I just picked up a Benelli M2 field. I've mainly shot trap with my Nova. I decided on a M2 for some local matches as the 28" barrel on the Nova was tough to maneuver with. Before I take it to a match, I wanted to fire a few slugs out of it to confirm how accurate (or how inaccurate) it is with slugs. Without a rear sight, how do you get an accurate sight picture? On my Nova, it was pretty easy as I lined up the fiber optic with the bead in the rib. Is my only option to install a rear sight first? Thanks.

I just got my Dawson Gen4 magwell today. It comes with the small butt plug.

I am also interested in the Dawson magwell. I believe you have to buy the weight separately. When you look at the weights individually, they do not have anything that works with the Gen4.
