  1. It has the biggest grip of all the CZ75 pattern pistols, that could be good or bad depending on the size of your hands. I owned a 97B and a Witness .45 at the same time, I preferred the Witness.
  2. Or just post a WTT ad, you'd be amazed how easy it is to get what you want.
  3. Cheely Horizontal CMore mount is a good one, I'm about to try the Quinn III as well.
  4. Are you in the US? If so you have to be patient, vigilant and have lots of cash ready.
  5. What I did was put a blob of weld on a stock release to extend it out, I'll leave it long, try it out, then cut it back as necessary. At that point I'll know if I need to releave the grips.
  6. I bought it in the classified section here on the forum.
  7. That's some great info Eli. I shot my Hunter with the hammer installed and I had quite a few light strikes. I've got some heavy springs I want to try.
  8. I started with the sideways CMore and I've never seen a reason to change.
  9. So I finally got around to starting my ten day waiting period on my Limited like this one: (Yes, the process of getting a Tanfo into CA is insane!) I got a good look at it today and it's actually an IFG imported Limited and has the serial number 00014! It's a neat souvenir of EAA's short lived attempt to reinvent it's image.
  10. That sounds rather arbitrary... I wonder if there's a methodology in place for choosing which scores to average? "Ooh that one was fast! Let's throw it in the HHF hooper"
  11. My advice is to skip the sight pusher and just get a brass punch. I bought a fancy sight pusher and couldn't get it to budge my TS rear; went to the punch.
  12. Yes, I plan to experiment with the same thing; I only have one extended mag release for the small frame Witnesses and two small frames so I'm going to try adding a 1911 style paddle to one like one of these: The only trouble is that this modification is not production legal so if you're in fact shooting a Stock I in Production you might want to consider a dirrerent option. If however you're shooting a Match in Limited, you're good to go.
  13. Wow look at that, Numrich has a bunch of new Tanfo parts! From the picture it looks like small frame, but you might as well buy it and check it out, they have a great return policy. Let me know if you strike out, I have an unfired 4.5" 9mm large frame barrel I'll sell you for $100 shipped.
  14. Not only do I polish the bar, but also the spots on the frame where the bar touches.
  15. The Limited Pro has I lighter muzzle and an extra 1/4" of barrel/sight radius
  16. They pop up on Gun Broker from time to time, but you can expect to pay a $400-$600 premium, the regulars on the EAA/Tanfoglio board here are probably your best resource, Nealio located a 9mm and two .40s a month or so ago, but I'm sure those are gone now. There are all kinds of theories on why EAA can't seem to get the right models in the right categories, but everyone agrees they can't so yes, the easy route is the order a Shadow from CZC. <whisper> Don't tell anyone, but a steel framed Jericho 941 (Baby/Uzi Eagle) is very similar to a Stock II (many internal parts are interchangeable) at a fraction of the cost </whisper>
  17. From what I've been told 160s are not as popular as 147s because it's harder to get an accurate load in the 130PF range; if the bullets aren't going fast enough they start to tumble. I actually have some 135s loaded ~127PF that are powder puffs.
  18. Some advice for you: the noun is advice, the verb is advise. Sorry, I couldn't help myself
  19. You'll receive your initial classification after four classifier scores.
  20. I agree starting in Limited will help you move and shoot without too many reloads. Some may disagree with me, but I think new shooters should be scoring at least 90% of the available stage points, so minor scoring won't be too much a hindrance. As long as you can get more than 16 rounds in the mag you should be OK with just one reload per stage.
  21. I'll look at what I have; I just bought some really heavy ones from Wolff I've yet to play with.
