  1. What else Jason?!? A Colt Delta Elite?
  2. I'm pretty excited about his compact Open project: I haven't decided on all the final parts and am still waiting on the Henning mag well, but I got the C-More in the mail yesterday so I though I'd slap it together to see how everything is coming along.
  3. I love the biblical reference Eric The first time I let my buddy shoot my 10mm Witness he turned around and said "if the archangel Michael walked the earth today vanquishing souls he would dawn long slide 10mm Tanfoglio!"
  4. Yes, VS just reminded me of something I've heard many times "no"; how many times have you called a businesses to buy something they advertise for sale and they tell you flatly "no"? Or "we never get those in"? Not "those are out of stock at the moment, but we'll have more on X, let me put that on backorder for you". Why would and business print a catalog each year full of things they can't/won't sell to you? I've also encountered various procedures surrounding getting things the don't have: they once took down my name and phone number then called me over a year later to say the parts I asked for are in stock, did I want to buy them? Another time they asked for my credit card which they would charge when they shipped, but could not say when or if that would happen. It all comes bact to inventory control; I'm not sure what the arrangement is, but I get the idea EAA doesn't have any say in what parts they receive nor when.
  5. I have racked my brain to figure out what it is makes EAA such a hassle to deal with and I've come up with some interesting hearsay: as I understand it, Tanfoglios are held in a higher esteem abroad than they are here in the US and therefore fetch a higher premium; so it also makes sense that the US market (through EAA) serves as the dumping ground for surplus inventory which would explain why we see so many 10mms and .45s in models which should be .40 or 9mm. Obviously Massimo Tanfoglio knows Americans love big bore guns and will buy anything for the right price! If this were true it would explain why EAA has such erratic stock levels and can't just order what you want, but has to take what they get. Once I figured out that I needed to call multiple times to check on orders before they shipped, dealing with EAA wasn't so bad, but since the price hike, I'm out. It's too bad too because Sharon did know a thing or two about the products (and she's easy on the eyes too! )
  6. As I'm sure you can imagine I have a lot of factory Tanfoglio/IMI parts so I just tried them in random combinations until I got what I wanted. The first trigger bar/disco combo worked great in DA, but would not reset in SA so before I removed any metal I tried a different disco.
  7. I assembled my small frame Limited Pro tonight with what I think will be my final selection of parts. It could still use a little polishing, but the reset is as short as can be
  8. A Limited Pro has a straight barrel and long slide.
  9. Good point, but I've called when they're closed before and gotten the recording we all know and love...
  10. I tried calling EAA this morning and there was a recording which said "Sorry, the mailbox is full and there is not enough space to leave a message; goodbye". I've never heard that one before???
  11. I'm thinking your support hand is to blame; search for some images of the way the top guns grip their pistols. As far as the loads go: heavier bullets take less powder to make minor PF so they shoot softer; 115gr bullets are pretty snappy.
  12. If you're not running a compensator I recommend 135s or 147s. Very soft.
  13. I've owned two Tauri and wouldn't pay more than $250 for one.
  14. No, the difference between large frame slides and small frame slides is in the distance between the hammer and the breech face.
  15. I don't know much about poly Witnesses but from what I gather P large frame and PS is small frame, I could only guess about PC.
  16. Is there an online, searchable database of those rulings?
  17. On the subject of 3D printing, the Peachy Printer has made some cool innovations:
  18. In one part of the video I got the impression they used some traditionally manufactured parts including the barrel, but later one guy says the printed it all???
  19. I understand your position, but how then would you select the method by which you would evaluate the scores on any particular classifier? Just pick one randomly, then try a different one if you don't like the results?
