  1. Just a word of caution, that's 10gr with a 100gr bullet, I wouldn't try that with a 115 or 124 unless I was shooting a .38 super.
  2. Ahh I fill 'em right to the brim! That's about ten grains of SP2.
  3. Sorry, I didn't read carefully enough: selective fire (DA/SA) pistols must take their first shot in Production, but they can start cocked and locked in Limited provided they have an external safety.
  4. Large frame Tanfoglio barrels are 15mm OD and threaded M15x0.75, small frame are 14mm threaded M14x0.75; all the CZ75 pistols (except the 75B in 9mm) are 14mm OD but CZ uses M14x1 threads. The CZ75B 9mm barrel is 12.75mm OD as well as my TriStar T120 and I assume the other TriStars are too. In the '90s the Springfield Performance shop was using a proprietary thread for P9 barrels: .540"x40. That's all I can think of at the moment
  5. I just noticed you switched bullets on me
  6. If you look above I suggested 115s over 6 gr, but hell, that works too! I still suggest trying the 115s, then you can load more powder and get more gas to keep the muzzle down.
  7. I'm glad to hear it, did you take video?
  8. Because of the rules and scoring each caliber has its own advantages/disadvantages in each division. For instance 9mm is the dominant caliber in Production because all calibers are scored Minor regardless of PF, but the minimum caliber for Limited Major is .40, so most Limited shooters shoot .40 over .45 because of the capacity limitations of .45s. In L10 the capacity issue goes away and so does the disadvantage of the .45, same in Single Stack.
  9. PF alone is not a good indicator of wear and tear since the same load with the same pressure will yield two different PFs. For instance the highest PF I've reached in my Gold Team V12 (5.25" barrel, 12 holes) is 164 which took 8.3gr of HS6 under a 124gr. I didn't even want to try that load in my CZ (5.1" barrel, no holes) since 7.7gr makes 178PF! These findings make it clear to me why people say the Gold Team has a "soft slide" or "weak lugs"; the reality is that if they're running over 165PF in their GT it's the equivalent of running over 190PF in my CZ; I wouldn't expect and 9mm barrel/slide to last long with a steady diet of loads that hot.
  10. Just got my second competition small frame out of lockup and I'm pretty excited about it!: I've got a Quinn mount with no holes I need to drill out and a compact top end I've been working on:
  11. I've used WST, 700X, Unique and Clays with good results.
  12. Because they'll sell in a day whether they're $1,000 or $1,200...
  13. Evan, are you basing that solely on the description or did you call? (there's some conflicting info on the site) I'll bet your P9 barrel has an OD of 14mm .
  14. You'll notice the set screw in the stock sight screws into a recess drilled into the slide. The Henning sight (and the Dawson sight I believe as well) has a set screw in the middle which does not line up with that recess and just bottoms out in the dovetail; if you were to drill a recess and use a longer set screw, I think all your problems would be over.
  15. I just shot one last weekend and I couldn't tell the difference. I will admit that I found the article anti-climatic too
  16. I know from my experience that when the two platforms are at their maximum potential the triggers are very similar (although the CZ is easier to get there). I can also say there is an undetectable difference in the recoil between cone barrels and straight (I did side by side testing with my Limited 9mm and 9mm conversion upper on the same frame with the same loads).
  17. You can rest assured they're all worked over all the way! One thing he left out is that the frame checkering on the Tanfoglio is way more aggressive than the CZ.
