Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I liked them, ( JHP-c 124 ) almost out and now using something cheaper. ( Canada ) I do notice that the Zero's are nice and consistent as far as bullet construction goes compared to the cheaper Cam Pro's.
  2. Paid $28 per pound, including shipping and hazmat (for 32lbs). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Glad your prices are so low. Wish we did not get ripped off so much. USA-Canada dollar is not that far apart.
  3. Wow, If I'm not mistaken, it was $59/lb here plus 10% tax about one month ago. Unreal.
  4. What do you guys pay in the USA for 1 lb of N320???
  5. VvN still around here in Saskatoon, really expensive though. Wish I could find some more CFE pistol!!!!
  6. Unique can shoot very well in a number of different pistol calibers, it can meter poorly though and is likely why some shy away. I would have bought it i a heartbeat. Only have 4lbs left of it myself.
  7. We are beginning an inflationary cycle here in the US....I don't like rising prices either nor will I get stuck in the "good o' days when powder was..." I buy what's available and shoot it. And live life... No need to buy the next 10 years worth...just 4 pounds here and there For sure, I have 2 pounds of N320 left, after that it would be a last resort. In the meantime other powders will be used.
  8. Just saw some N320 come in here. They can keep it for 59.99 per pound!!!
  9. Ok all I could manage was 1.075" without being compressed with 4.8gr of Unique, so I will give them a try when I can get to it.
  10. Hey guys, I currently shoot a stock Shadow. 125gr JHP-c @ 1.080"OAL. (can't go longer) I was thinking or trying some loads seated deeper to check if I can get better accuracy. ( groups are already ok ) How deep have you guys seated your loads? Thinking of trying 1.070" and 1.075" I am using 4.8gr of Unique. Also use 4.1 gr of N320 And just got some CFE pistol to try. Thanks
  11. So the guide rod gets beat up when the slide goes back? How about when running a stock heavy recoil spring and full power loads. I guess if the spring matches the ammo it should be the same. How many rounds do you guys have on those s.s. guide rods with no buffer?
  12. Hey guys, I had purchased a guide rod for my stock Shadow, tried it and it works fine. I put the plastic one back in though. If I remember correctly some people used a buffer or something in them. Is that needed? I know some CZ's (like the post below) come with them, but so many types of CZ's it's hard to cipher. What factory or custom guns have the s.s. guide rod with no buffer vs buffer. Thanks
  13. Fiocchi ammo. Just threw a bunch out. I use the MTM 100 plastic 9mm containers for counting and loading. I only have a single stage press so I hand prime, throw them primer up in the tray, once it's full close it and flip it over and open the case and pick up the brass to be loaded from the Lyman powder funnel, then into the press. From the press back into the same MTM case, primer up, till I can flip it over to finally crimp and be done with them. Saves space on my small bench, and rarely have time to load more than 100 at a time. ( need a Dillon 550b )
  14. If you could find your numbers I would appreciate it. My guess you were 1000 ish.
  15. Hey guys, just working on 357 mag H110 load tests. ( Lee dies, for Berry's 158's 1/2 turn of the factory crimp die is great on my light loads with Unique powder ) But on the Cam pro 158's, that are harder and have a cannelure, 1/2 turn of the crimp die has no effect on the pulled bullet. With 3/4 turn of the crimp die, the bullet is intact except for the cannelure, and it has a groove of 0.003". That should be good right???
