  1. I use the MidwayUSA ones since they are local. No problems with the perfs on them and the small 1/2 size ones make great practice.
  2. I too have had great luck with DAA
  3. Safariland makes some shorter ones I had some for my glock that were a lot shorter than the ones for the STI
  4. Just pin the grip safety. I like how it makes the grip solid and helps on the draw not having a moving part.
  5. If you do get it nitride I recommend H&M they have done all most all of my handguns. Great guys and quality work.
  6. I made a lid for mine as well. helped a little. I sold mine in the end.
  7. Works great no problems in bright sun or shade.
  8. I have used many types of Chronos Magnetospeed and LabRadar. They are great for the intended purposes. I don't chrono that much so I just set up the Caldwell chrono now and it works great for what I need it for.
  9. Also have the Bags and Plates in stock at the same time for the first time ever.
  10. Try the Lyman M-Die it works great for cast bullets.
  11. The S&B and Tula/Wolf Primers are some of the hardest I have ever tried to use. I have loaded 9 Major with SRP Fed and CCI. Also what about a Magnum SPP that should have a thicker cup.

You can get most everything you will need from Midway. I would get powder at Grafs for 1lb bottles. Have you thought about Plated bullets like the Rainier? I have had good luck with them in the past. If you need any help finding a match local on a weekend drop me a message. There is match every weekend within an hour or 2 of Columbia.
  13. I have had nothing but great luck with the DAA Racemaster. My wife loves the Safariland on the USPSA kit for Limited.
  14. My friend used glock mag pouches for his TS as well and they were Safariland so that is what I would order.
  15. I am thinking that I am going to make a Steel grip my next upgrade. I was talking to a friend this weekend about his and he said it feels a lot better on reloads the mags stick easier/ more positive feeling. He said with the polymer grip he would feel the need to hit the mag a couple times to guarantee as seated magazine. With the steel grip he says he feels like they just snap right in.
  16. If the Hammer and Sear are cut/shaped right and the sear spring is adjusted right light trigger weight with no hammer follow is possible. If you have been having it fall on half cock a lot then the sear probably needs replaced or at least cleaned back up. You may try a clark 4 finger spring to hold tension against the back of the trigger to help some times.
  17. Look at the SVI Tiki I think is what they called it. That is a sweet CCW gun.
  18. I have my backup guns the same as the primary so same ammo and mags. It is nice to have insurance at a big match that all the time and money are not wasted on a broken part.
  19. I love my Dawson but in 9mm with the Dawson Aluminum pads I had to loose some weight in my gun to make it legal. Even with the Flat Aluminum MSH.
  20. Midway has one by springfield that would be as close as you can get to a Bo-Mar in a Novak Cut. #721189
  21. The Trojan is a lot of gun for the money. Add a DP magwell to it and it is ready to go!
  22. You should find a match local and go watch. Good opportunity to meet people that can get you started and get an idea of some ways to practice at home. If you find a club that is not inviting to new shooters I would try another. I have only shot at 1 club here that did not want non members shooting matches there. Not Cool and I did not try to go back. Plenty of other places to shoot luckily.
  23. You should definitely shoot some of the matches at the range in Rolla. It is called COPS Central Ozark Practical Shooter (I think). They have several big matches a couple 3 gun matches, the State USPSA match, and monthly USPSA and Steel Challenge matches. That is as far south as I go due to having a match every weekend within a couple hour drive of Columbia.
  24. I have had good luck with the Lee U-Die on the LNL with 40 and 9mm. I just load range pick up brass so I am sure a lot of it was shot out of glocks.
  25. I have not had that problem with 9mm but 45 I have. I wonder if there is a certain decapping die that works better than others for this? Anyone test one vs. another?
