  1. If you don't like the rules, then don't play the game. Saves you a lot of heartburn. Really? Is that necessary? The first step to recovery is acknowledging you have a problem.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I couldn't agree more.

  3. Has a steam punk look to it IMO.
  4. Photochromatic: clear to black Use them mostly indoors. But I didn't have to invest in an outdoor set because the lenses adapt. Great on over cast days and even on bright sunny days, I don't even realize hard they're working until I take them off.
  5. I don't see how they can call a division Stock Service Pistol and then allow for modifications. If you want to tinker with your gun, join the ESP ranks.
  6. Why not post a WTB thread in the classifieds sub forum? Give it some time and see if you can get a hit on what you're looking for? That's how I got my 15" AP w/o paying full price.
  7. I've seen plenty of shooters use a Hawaiian shirt or bowling shirt a a cover garment. They quite often also use their actual carry gun and IWB holster. The vest is just the gamer's choice for a cover garment. Monkey see, monkey do. When you 1st show up to a new sport, it's natural for people to see what others are using. And lets face it, in any competitive sport, we take a closer look at what the winners are using. Then we justify in our heads (and for some, wives) that it's the gear that will help propel us to where we want to be.
  8. As other suggested, run a few before pulling them all. Those are some bunny fart loads you have. I've run 147gr down as far as 1.115 and noticed little to no difference between those and some 1.125 I had loaded over 2.8gr of Clays. No pressure signs.
  9. I'm not a mind reader. Knowing what lane change or turn you're going to make doesn't pop up in my head before you do it. Please show some consideration for others on the road and use your friggin turn signal! Turn signals are there to help others sharing the road with you. The other night on my drive home I saw some jack wad make about 3 lane changes on a 2-lane highways in under a 1/4 mile. Each lane change was a near miss to another car. They were in too much of a rush squeezing their car into lanes to be bothered using a signal.
  10. Unless your shooting SSP, the 2011 really is the ideal platform for any other division. Crisp trigger, balanced weight and a wide mag chute. What more is there? Most just don't want to spend the money. And that's ok. Even when looking at the OTHER shooting sport, no one chooses to trade in their 2011 for a glock or any other plastic fantastic. Even as great as the CZ/tangfolios are, the still don't picked to play over the 2011. It just boils down to what your budget is.
  11. Thanks for the compliments guys. $1k sounds about right depending on which dealer you purchase from. I got mine from Brazos.
  12. If you can afford the JP carbine, buy once cry once. As an alternative, the MPX Carbine. Downside is mags are not cheap.
  13. The low powder sensor also helps keep consistent pressure on the powder.
  14. PA red dots. I've had one on my race AR for 4 years now, no problems. Each year I pick up the newest generation. Have one on my .22 AR upper, .22 AR pistol, .22 2011 conversion and now my 9mm MPX. Yes, I have a .22 obsession.
  15. This is untrue. My custom 2011 has a very nice trigger and is having no issues eating these primers. As someone already posted... I run these for local matches and use my CCI for major matches. I had problems in my Cameron custom. I have to take special care to deeply seat every primer on my 650 to fix the problem. I will not buy them again. While that demonstrates that some guns will run them while others won't, that doesn't mean that any gun with a decent trigger job can't run them.
  16. And don't forget to loan him your Automag. OP, your choice for optics and mount will have a greater impact on weight that your upper/lower set.
  17. Oddly enough, my weak hand shooting is about on par with my strong hand. I actually like stages that put our weak hand to the test. But I can see how some of the shooters local to me would be concerned about shooting weak hand under the new scoring.
  18. This is untrue. My custom 2011 has a very nice trigger and is having no issues eating these primers. As someone already posted... I run these for local matches and use my CCI for major matches.
  19. As repeated over and over, only those that pray and spray will be most effected. Those that can acquire the sights quickly and have little wasted movement (the ones that are already top of the pack), will continue to due what they do.
  20. Thanks for the input, that's good to know. Currently I only run Zero JHP and Bayou Bullets. So that would avoid the fouling issue.
  21. That seems odd to me. I don't own an open gun, but I also don't recall major 9 shooters complaining about comp fouling. How would the brake on a 9mm rifle differ?
  22. v1911

    Sig MPX

I received mine about 2 weeks ago. Love it! Seems to favor the lighter bullets from what I can see. Accuracy with 147gr at 25yrd is good but definitely better with the 115gr. YMMV. Just installed an Ergo Deluxe grip and SD3G trigger tonight. Will be a few weeks though before I can put it through the paces again.
  23. Adjusted my new JP LMOS paired with the Blackheart Ti firing pin. Worked like a charm. For the 1st time I've been able to adjust my gas block to lock back on the last round. I was surprised to see that the Independence 556 ammo was lower in power than even the cheap Monarch or Herters .223 ammo. But it was only 1 click difference on my SLR gas block between the Independence and the American Eagle XM193.
