  1. I'd run it and like it! Big smile on this side of the key board!
  2. 8 or 9 lbs Wolff variable in my 40 ( using a 40 TruBor blank unported, which make the bbl 61/4 ") All my other 40's without the bbl weight/sight block I run 11-13lbs springs in.
  3. Answering op ? I use a 13 lbs Wolff spring on a Gray Guns guide rod 12 work also but don't like it on an unloaded start
  4. Buffer will slightly un stroke your gun, by the thickness of the buffer. Probably not a big deal. BUT I've never found the need for buffers so like you said you're bored, go and play and let us know what you thought

    CO

I've got a SIG, XDm and a Tanfo (obviously the closest to a CZ) I like the Tanfo a lot BUT Doing on the timer drills, I can't shoot the difference. Usually the SIg x-5 with a DPP on it is slightly faster if you count a 100 round avg of .01 enough to count. Yeah, I know in a 100 round match that's a second. Buy the one you like and fits your hand the best. Nice thing about the Sigs and XDm's are the slides are already set up for optics, no additional milling required
  6. After you do the clean , degrease, re apply (with fresh red) DON"T play with the gun , dry fire , rack it etc. Set it down for several hours 1 hour you get about 40% cure and 24hours for 100%, if my memory serves me. You can get on loctites web page and get the exact info
  7. Blend it to the grip. Fit it to the grip safety
  8. That was the one ! Thanks
  9. DPP mine have held up great and warranty is great IF you need it! Weight is a concern if you don't mill your slide for it or in my case I'm using a lightened slide like you would on an open or limited gun. Mount is an EGW dovetail mount, slide is milled like a Tanfo Gold team open slide CO legal now!
  10. Been searching the web for x-5 LARGE grip module!!! Some where I found one a while ago and can't relocate it! Think it was an Military/LE supplier who had them with the weight and mag funnel. Any help would be appreciated, I can find the med. size but not the large Thanks
  11. I used the old delta points with the 7.5 delta for years . So when the DPP came out I needed another dot and bought another 7.5 works great etc. Then like Memphis said "the 2.5 moa is an amazing dot" I picked up another one used from a friend who was going back to limited. Now I believe the 2.5 is an easier dot to use for uspsa and steel. either will work but I now prefer the 2.5
  12. Ck Sti's qc has been suspect for several years
  13. Manipulated the tube and now I have better engagement of the release. I'll give it a try this evening.
  14. Off set mount Everything runs with sti gen 1 mags with spacers
  15. 124 bayou, 4.1 wst, win spp,1.150oal 132pf 2" group at 25 rested 3.0 of E3 with 145 rn bayou, same same
  16. It runs from about 13-14 down I'm thinking a bullet is bouncing against the interior mag release under the higher round count spring load and then the mag pops out. No interference with the mag bases. I'm going to check the tube interface with slide off tonight
  17. No I'm not hitting the mag release! I've shot the gun lt hand rt handed and with a two hand grip making sure I;m not on the mag release It only happens when I have it loaded with the mag extension and 20+ rounds in it. Changed the mag tube and everything works fine Measured the mag release cut and it appears to be the same as the other mags. runs fine after 6-8 rounds are fired out of it. Using round nose bullets and wondered it one of the bullets is hitting the release? Anyone else having this problem
  18. Read the rule book about your division and make sure your gun and rig meet all the rules. Double check mag length Make sure your ammo Chrono's (most L2's have a chrono stage, ammo and equipment will be checked. Mentally prepare NOW to shoot like you shoot L1 matches. you don't get better just cause your at a big match. Shoot your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses. HAVE FUN, enjoy the moment!

    Carry optics set up

I ran a heavier spring to slow down the slide and the brass stopped hitting the optic (RTS) IT also gave better in battery lock up. i.e. stopping all my light strikes. Try it! May help yours! ymmv
  20. Call Dawson Precision on Monday and they;'' be able to give you the info you need. Dawson TTI Either are great base pads the usually fit the gauge. Read the info from the sites and they will be able to tell you which ones fit for limited vs open
  21. Match flow may be the concern. Thus the same size stages
