    STI mags

what caliber and what division are you going to shoot? I've got a tuned STI 38 Super big stick that is brand new. had three made up and you really only need one but I figure its good to have a back up. And I've got some 40 limited mags I might part with. Let me know jcc7x7
  4. Put a set of EGW parts in a NM 9mm springfield and the hammer does not fit into the existing beavertail grip safety. I've altered it to work but would like one that is meant to work with a Springfield. I know they have a slightly different radius or profile cause my other 1911's don't fit the cut correctly. So looking for the one made to fit the Springfiled and yes I know it will still have to be fitted. Been out of the game for about a year and cant remember who's Beavertail to start with. thanks for the help
  5. Look at the back of the trigger safety (i.e plastic finger that sticks thru the trigger) is it hanging up on the frame. This happens cause the weight is lighter. you may have to polish the plastic. LOL to smooth that out or very slightly again I say very slightly cut the back of the finger a little so it clears the frame quicker, so you don't feel the drag/creep.
  6. 4.0grs with a 230 lead round nose is my standard load. seems to be alot of peoples.
  7. Like usual!! Some of us like them and some off us don't. I'm in the don't like camp because I've found them to be inconsistant. So I shoot either lead or jacketed depending on the gun, event etc. Thats some of the enjoyment of reloading finding out what works best in your gun/guns. Try to buy your components in small lots until you find what you and your guns like jcc7x7
  8. Top Gun Supply has alot of parts and accs. for SIG's
  9. In those numbers, if you can get them, I shoot hornady HAP
  10. WSF wwork for me I've used TG and BE based on what you've got on hand
  11. both my STI's ran out of the box. I've bought tuned mags for the 40 real nice stuff, and did a coupel myself. I agee with the others that say buy 'em tuned. Cheaper in the long run. The 38SC I did all the mags except for the one that came with it. Again buy tuned mags its worth it
  12. How about just trying the gun you have. At the ranges we shoot the 3/4" doesn't make a huge difference. Some guys shoot the commander length quicker too.
  13. Wilson and Dawson both work great in my three nines. Colt Custom, SA , Dan Wesson pm9
  14. Does you LGS have a gunsmith. Most will give it a quick look and diagnos at NC if your a regular customer. JMO
  15. They're supposed to be all forged and since the guts are changed I would go for it.
  16. I like Penn and Dardas lead bullets for what its worth
  17. Unique is a good general purpose powder and one I keep around all the time. Check your loads in a manual. It runs a little dirty but you'll be cleaning the gun anyway so if thats what you got use it. I've gone to using CLAYs for 230 loads Enjoy the hunt for the best load in your gun jcc7x7
  18. USed Super glue GEL from the box store and seems to be working well ground the edges with a dermel and them bounced them off the cement floor several times no problems seems to be a good fix.
  19. Thanks for the reply. Sounds like we need to compare notes about the other powder. Sr7625 runs clean plenty of gas for comp. to work well. flat shooting, easy to clean gun a little bit of solvent and your'e good. Available all the time as resonable prices. Seems very consistant at all temps.
  20. Joe The thickness is about 3/16 and 1/4 inch. I just looked at the rolls of product they had. The ribbed stuff seems like it has more "bounce" to the rubber. Not very scifi I know. Only problem with the ribbed product I not sure how well it will glue to the metal based plate. Gonna glue some up tonight I'll let you know
  21. Been using SR 7625 with great results and no problems regardless of where or when I shoot . i.e. no problems with PF going up or down. Some of the guys at the local club are switching to VV350. Both camps are sure their powder is the best. Not looking to change for change sake. But will if there is an advantage to VV350 Thanks for your thoughts, loads and input jcc7x7
  22. 5.8 231 or ho38 same powder! Will give 180 PF give or take 4.8 WSP gives about 173 PF Use Penn bullets a bunch like the bullets and Bob seems like a straight shooter
