  1. FWIW I have been shooting Bayou Bullets for several years and I have noticed that there is a certain amount of build-up, then it just stays at that level. At first it really bothered my but it never got worse. The gun is still just as accurate as ever. Now I just ignore it.
  2. I am now going directly to the feeding trough since Enos is out of the game. Dillon it is.
  3. Look up fast draw cowboy competitions. They are stupid fast and have to bit a target too.
  4. Are you sure it's not something to do with your ammo? I've had a stoppage or two and the cases had bent rims. I reload range brass to the tune of a 1500 or so a month.
  5. I use the 100% with both hands method!! Just hold the gun tight and shoot.
  6. Limcat everytime. Johnny will take care of you if you have a problem. But you won't that gun is just getting going. Like a car with 5000 miles on it.
  7. I bet you Johnny has made more SV run right/better than SV has made Limcats run right/better. All the people I've known who run Limcats have had nothing but great things to say about Johnny. When I purchased my Wildcat used from one of Johnny's friends, Johnny came up to me and told me "it's a great gun and you got a great price on it. If anything needs fixed or I want something changed I'll take care of you, just call me" 10,000+ rounds later I've only put a new recoil spring in it. Now my buddy who got a SV because it's on the California "safe gun roster" and it went back to SV twice and still never ran right. The trigger felt like crap too. A local gunsmith finally made it work 100% and worked over the trigger. Those are my real life limited experience with SV and Limcat. If I get another Limited gun it will be a 12 to 14 month wait and a new Limcat.
  8. Gee Troy said the same thing I did. You are replacing a factory part with an aftermarket part that looks similar and functions in the same way. Further more the majority of the part is inside the gun.SHOCKING. To enforce the rule you would really have to know what factory parts looked like. There are starting to be many aftermarket manufacturers that are making parts for these guns.
  9. The last major match I shot, it was drop the gun in the box, check the safeties, and weigh the gun. They weren't even correct on the weight of some guns. Two people in my squad had to get the correct weight off the interweb using their phones. We are getting in an area where some of the rules are enforceable. I don't even know what hammers are in my guns. My shadow was purchased used. I'm the 3rd owner. The other 2 were production shooters too, who knows what hammer it has.
  10. My next question is how would anyone know what hammer you are using? You would have to be a CZ and CZ aftermarket parts expert to tell what hammer soneone really has. Personally I feel as long as a part doesn't differ drastically from a stock part AND is available to the public then It is ok to use in Production. Is there a distinct advantage over the stock Shadow hammer and the GGW hammer?

  12. The CGW/Dawson front sights have a tiny set screw in them. It is accessed through the small hole under the fiber optic. Tighten it down. The set screw is normally in the sight from the factory and the kit includes the allen wrench. Instructions aren't just to waste paper.
  13. At A2 my SP-01 Shadow was almost 1 ounce under with the CZ cheese grater grips and Springer basepads on Mec-Gar 10 rounders. Kinda shocked me. Before A2 I purchased a cheap Harbor Freight scale to weigh my guns. They all came in under the book weight.
  14. Got the 9mm in black and the 38 Super in silver. Makes it a tad easier to tell them apart. But it really wasn't 100% necessary. I'm going to get the 40 S&W one in silver, it's cheaper.
  15. I am using Bayou Bullets 135gr with 3.9gr of N320 at 1.135 inches AOL for a PF of 129-ish. My CZ's using the same bullet at 1.120 use 3.7gr N320 for a PF of 127 and 3.8gr gave me a PF of 129.8 at Area 2 last week. In my S&W M&P 9Pro and Kimber 1911 3.6gr got me a PF of 126-127 and 3.7 got me a PF of 130-132!!!!
  16. My first choice is N320, I hate cleaning guns. My second choice is Bullseye!!!! Seriously in 9mm pressures it doesn't smoke much and runs suprisingly clean. Now in a low pressure 45 ACP it is very dirty.
  17. I am not rich, but I buy Precision Delta or Montana Gold because work better in the bullet feeder. My bullet feeder is my left hand! So far it has worked the same with Montana Gold and Bayou!!!
  18. Well A2 was my first major match. I came, I saw, I shot, I got clobbered. Just did not shoot well at all. Was mid pack in B's normally in the top 25%. Oh well. too many shots in the hardcover. My best stage was chrono by far. I cleared the box, made weight, power factor was 129, and had a 4 fps spread from low to high on my velocity. All and all I call that a win.
  19. Bayou Bullets are still my favorites, good price, fast shipping, and they are accurate. I guess if I were rich I would buy Montana Golds, but I'm all for bang for the buck.
  20. On my non-throated SP-01 I run 3.7 grs of N-320 at 1.120 with BB 135grs, for a PF of 126 to 127, local match load. At Area 2 a few days ago I used 3.8grs and got a PF of 129. On a side note my other SP-01's are throated and one runs approximately 1 PF less and the other 1 PF more than the non-throated gun. I use the same load in all 3.
