  1. I had the same issue with a Kimber Target II, I contacted Kimber and they said send it back and they would take a look at it, BUT they said it was probably my reloads and I shouldn't shoot reloads. Bull pucky. I called a local gunsmith and told him about my issue. He said probably a tight chamber/lead. Could have been cut with a slightly worn ream. His fix reream and see how it does. $45 later the gun runs like a Singer. I load my 124gr RN to 1.135 and HP's to 1.125 they work great in all my other 9mm. I wasn't going any shorter.
  2. I use 57.0gr under a 165gr Hornady SST or Interbond. These are my prime hunting loads. Interbond for thicker skinned animals, SST for thinner skin critters.
  3. I use it, purchased 16 lbs!!! My pet load is 25.4 gr under a 55gr this load works well for 3-gun. It shoot great out to 200 yards (Furthest I've shot with it), it cycles all my AR's flawlessly, and pleasant recoil! This load is about 1 gr under Hornadys max load. I have no idea what fastshooter3 is talking about too slow, huh what does that mean. You don't need max velocity for 3-gun but you need good shooting. As a point of reference the POI at 100 yards in the same with this load as it is with 25gr H335 at 100 yards. I still have a bunch of 223 I loaded up with H335 and I can use the 2 loads interchangeably, that's one of the reasons I chose 25.4 gr Varmint. YMMV
  4. The Nikon 1-4 with the Point Blank Reticle. Clear, bright, and a big field of view. My wife has a Leupold 1-4 on her MSR and the Nikon is brighter and has a much larger field a view. The Point Blank Radical takes a little getting use to, it's a rather large dot, but it works well for 3-gun. From 50-200 yards if the dot is covering it, it's a hit. 5-50 yards I know it's going to be an inch or so low (POI). But I really like mine.
  5. I've loaded them up many many times with out any issues, some pieces of brass have been loaded 8 to 9 times and are going strong.
  6. I use Power Pistol in both my 40 and 9, I got a lot cheap so I use it. Power Pistol is a very versatile powder, I've had great luck with it in full tilt boogie rounds and reduced loads as well. My loads are as follows: 6.6gr under a 180gr bullet COL 1.130 = around 990-1000 fps. 6.0gr under a 180gr bullet COL 1.130 = around 890 fps 5.0gr under a 180gr bullet COL 1.130 = around 760 fps, nice shooting Minor load clean and accurate. I've loaded up to 7.1gr and that will get your attention! loud and kicks like a pissed off mule!!!!! This is out of a Sig P226 and all cycle fine including the reduced load.
  7. I use and like 6.0gr P/P at 1.100 col. This load shoots really well out my Sigs. I have never crono'ed it, but others have and it seems to give 1100-1150 fps. 5.5gr was a little light but did cycle the guns (Sig P6, P226 & Glock 19) the 6.0 load is snappier and shoots accurately.
  8. I use 5.3gr under 180 Missouri Cast bullets, this load shoots very well, very moderate recoil and accurate as pooh. I have no idea about it's power factor or velocity, but based on the recoil I figured it is high Minor Power. COL 1.135 PS The Alliant Loading Guide list 6.7gr as a max load using a 180gr GDHP
  9. I like 5.3gr Unique @ 1.35 OAL, these have a nice moderate recoil and stupid accurate!
  10. I use 6.6gr of Power Pistol under either a Hornady TMJ or MG HP. My COL is 1.125 for the Hornady and 1.13 for the MG's. They are snappy but accurate in my Sig 226. The max in my book is 7.2gr so 6.6gr is right in there. Power Pistol was made for the 40 cal and 9mm so far it is the best powder I have found! IMHO
