  1. Get the undersize die. I had the same problem years ago with 45ACP, had to sort the brass. I went to the EGW-U die, never had a problem again, with any brass. Not what you are currently asking, but it may help in the long run.
  2. Besides Sig directly, anyone found a source for MPX carbine recoil springs and mag springs? I dont need the recoil springs yet, but probably will before next season. I put a Springer 10rd basepad on a mag, and the spring occasionally loses sufficient tension for the follower to lock the bolt back. I keep stretching it out a little, but I know that is just a band-aid.
  3. I have one and love it. I put a Giessle SSA trigger on it, and picked up a used Aimpoint for it. Got a 10rd base pad from Springer Precision, and a MFT stock from Title II arms. Very nice shooter. It has been absolutely 100% reliable.
  4. When I started shooting USPSA and reloading 45ACP for SS, I had a heck of time with bullet setback. I tried all sorts of things, including separating out headstamps and use the better ones for larger matches. The EGW-U die solved all my setback issues. I have been using it for several years now with no issues.
  5. Thanks guys, just what I was looking for. I saw the video on how to lube it, very good video. Keep it coming.
  6. A local shop (Immortal Arms) has a package deal on Dillon 1050 Super all set up with MBF and an Ammo Bot, so I put one on layaway. This will be my first Dillon, I've been reloading on a LNL for several years, so it should be fun. This will be set up for 9mm Minor, as I will be shooting that more next year. My elbow is getting older (as is the rest of me), so I wasnt looking forward to cranking out several thousand rounds over the winter. Anyway, looking for suggestions for any additional bits and pieces I should have on hand for the 1050. I have read here that the bearing kit and guide rod upgrade from Level 10 innovations and the swaging Rod from Fast & Friendly Brass are probably good recommendations. I will be using a mixed brass, so I expect I will run into a lot of crimped primers, so a swager is a must. Any others? I have Dillon's DVD on the way, and have watched mulitple videos, so I should be pretty comfortable with it when it arrives. TIA
  7. - First time through, walk behind the targets to count them. This is usually easier than trying to count them as you walk through, at least for the larger more complicated stages. This should only take once. - Targets that can be seen from multiple areas, find an identifying mark on the target to help differentiate it from the others. It could be shorter or taller than the ones next to it, odd patch of patches, mark on the stick, next to barrel, etc. - Then walk through counting the targets you will engage from each position. e.g. move to position A, engage the 3 targets plus the one next to the barrel, move and reload to position B, etc, etc, etc Repeat for each walk-though until you have it burned in.
  8. When I bought my PCC, it had a Meprolight M21 on it, with the circle/dot. I now have an Aimpoint Micro T1, and feel it is a much better optic, and I like the 4 MOA dot much better than the circle/dot.
  9. jrswanson1 Yes, NRA range. Check out the Fairfax Practical Shooters on Facebook. Best way to keep up with registration, etc.
  10. I've seen that option, but it looks like it only works with external power, which is why I never thought to try it. I'll play with the setting and see what it does with no external power. tks Power Down Delay (PDD) Power down delay is only available when APSS is turned on. When APSS is turned on and external power is removed from the camera, it will turn off at the set duration. This is used for automatic shutdown. (1) After 1 min (Default) (2) After 5 min (3) After 15 min (4) After 30 min (5) Never Auto power down
  11. Geissele SSA. Works great.
  12. Anyone know if it is possible to config a Replay XD 1080 mini to stop recording after a set time? I've been though the manual and config file and didnt see anything. I am always forgetting to turn mine off and wind up with a lot of useless video recoded which obviously eats up space on the card. It would be nice if I could config it to auto stop after say 2 min. Or a reminder vib every 2 min. I need to get a bigger memory card, and remember to stop the durn thing. :/
  13. Here is a local USPSA match, my second PCC match. I shot my Sig MPX. Lots of fun. Classifier sucked with the reload.
  14. I too wear progressive bifocals. However, for my shooting glasses and my Rudy inserts, I have the right/dominant eye Rx to be where the front sight is, and left Rx to be for distance. No need for bifocals or reverse bifocals for range work, IMHO. This setup works perfect for me.
  15. Found Fury Holsters while looking for mag pouches for my Sig MPX, to use until I can get a new PCC belt set up. Nice clip, and they are reversible left or right side. Nice touch on the label. www.furyholsters.com
  16. I have 7 mag pouches on my belt, and they are usually filled. Never know. +1 for starting. + a couple of spares in the bag.
  17. You need to practice reloading moving towards your weak side, and have this in your tool kit for when you need it. Some stages that may be the only way you can move, or will be the most efficient.
  18. Are you crimping and seating with the same die? Or in separate dies? My bet is same die, and the crimp is buckling the case. I'm also running the EGW-U die, for a couple of years now, with no issues. The undersize die should take care of any bulge from previously fired cases. I've never seen the "glock bulge" in 45ACP.
  19. I just put a Geissele SSA in my MPX. Much better than the stocker. Geissele has stated their triggers do not need the additional support that the stock trigger bridge provides, and they will cover any issues via their gold warranty. http://sigtalk.com/sig-sauer-rifles/56090-best-mpx-trigger-upgrade.html http://sigtalk.com/sig-sauer-rifles/59635-mcx-mpx-trigger-upgrade.html
  20. Here is a video of how I fixed mine, very similar to bikerburgess above. I think I did this Nov 2015. 45ACP cases were constantly jamming up. I've probably loaded 20-30K since the fix, and not have had one jam.
  21. I may tear the powder measure on my LNL down once a year to give it a cleaning. Maybe more often if it starts acting up, but that is very rare. I use canned air to blow power and crap off the the shell plate and primer punch every few hundred rounds. I rarely use any lube on the powder drop tubes, rotor, etc, less likely to build gunk up. My rotor stuck at the top of the travel at one time. The slot for the powder insert wasnt machined cleanly near the top. Cleaned it up with a dremel, and made sure the PTX was adjusted so that the insert had some free space at top to "bounce" a little, and all is good.
  22. From the WSB find out the number of targets, then verify by walking behind the stage and count them all. Then the first one or two walk throughs count the targets as you walk through. This will tell you if you are counting one twice, or missing one (or more). When you formulate your plan, pay special attention to the "gotcha" sections of the stage. It may be easier to remember to purposely engage the more difficult/hidden targets first, then the targets out in the open. As is said many times before, it becomes easier the more matches you shoot.
