  1. I've shot IDPA with my CZ 75SA Target in ESP for a couple of years now, and would like to use this gun to start shooting at local USPSA matches. From what I can deciper so far, I would have to shoot Limited or L10 with it. Is this true? If so, how big a disadvantange would I be as a new shooter in either div? I think I'm on my 4th or 5th reread of the rules, and it just doesnt get any clearer.
  2. I know I'm new here and all, but I've been shooting IDPA for about 3 yrs, and pistols in general for many, many more. I'm badly nearsighted with progressive lenses. To see the front sight in focus I had to really tilt my head back. A few years ago I had my optomotrist make me a pair of shooting glasses. I'm right handed and right eye dominant, so my right lense was focused about 1.5" past the tip of my right pointing finger when both hands are simulating a free-style grip. This puts the right eye point of focus about to where the front sight would be. My left lens is distance focus, both are single Rx. These glasses are probably the best thing I have done to improve my shooting.
  3. Hi folks. I'm in the Northern Va area, and have been lurking here for some time, figured it was about time to join the fray. I've been shooting IDPA for about 3 yrs and enjoy it quite a bit. My primary IDPA pistol is a CZ 75 SA Target. The frequency of matches have dropped off lately (due to lack of MD/RO at some of the ranges), so I'm looking at attending a few USPSA matches in the area. I have a 16yr old son that will probably compete as well. He's a great shot (shoots a Kimber Custom Classic Target) and has excellent gun handling skills. Looking foward to participating here and hopefully meet a few members at future matches.
