  1. My ACCU Shadow grouped ~0.86" rested @ 25 yards with acme 145 gr round nose, 3.3gr N320, fiocchi spp, and 1.130". Made about 132-133 pf.

  3. You might want to chrono that. 145 grain acme coated RN with 3.3 grains of N320 gives me 132-133 PF in my CZ.
  4. I'm using Fiocchi at 100% with an 11.5lb mainspring.
  5. I spent some time in the Horn of Panjwa'i in 2011, after the Canadians handed the province back over to us Americans. My FOB was directly off of MSR Hyena. It was pretty good and accurate (setting, clothes, equipment, terrain, etc)
  6. I was a big fan of my DK Customs trigger before moving on to a CZ.
  7. Best I can do with my phone, calipers read .86" center to center. I shot this earlier this week. Gun is an ACCU Shadow. redoing my math, It's really 132.5 avg PF.
  8. I just worked up some ACME coated 145 Gr coated bullets and got .8" @ 25 yards rested. 1.130", mixed brass, 3.3 Gr N320, Fiocchi primers. I don't have my notes with me, but it was ~133 PF.
  9. I did pins for awhile. Too much work for blingy brass that I'm just going to shoot again. dry media and nufinish now for pistol brass. I still do SS pins for rifle because it's low volume for me and gets the primer pocket clean.
  10. They've been good to me. Unfortunately, I had to send my press back as soon as I opened it. The entire ram was canted clockwise far enough that the leg for the case feeder could touch the press frame through part of it's travel. I had some other minor issues that they resolved quickly as well (shim for the powder measure so it wouldn't rotate, broken pawl, pretty normal stuff from seeing other people's issues on various forums).
  11. This! Think of it more of "you flare the case mouth so it's tapered to guide a bullet easily as it's pressed into place. Then you de-flare and return the case to a straight wall." ...than "I'm crimping my bullet into this piece of brass and I don't want it to fall out." Crimp enough that 100% of your rounds chamber-check or case gauge, and the wall of the case is straight on your completed ammo. Then don't ever worry about your crimp die again. This is my thinking as well. When doing press setup for straight walled pistol cases, I adjust my taper crimp die with a dummy cartridge until it drops into a gage. Then, I measure case mouth diameter as a secondary check.
  12. Usgi ammo cans because I can get them from work for free and the clear cabelas 100 boxes for match ammo (9mm minor)
  13. If you qualify for a membership at promotive, (mil, leo, a bunch of others) Salomon has a really good discount there.
  14. If you qualify for Promotive (I'm .mil), Salomon has a pretty good discount.
  15. It would be useful with Fiocchi primers, since they come 150 to a box.
  16. LNL AP if you will NEVER, EVER get a case feeder. 650 if you ever want a case feeder. So get a 650. (I bought the LNL first)
  17. My Shadow has been most accurate around 133-135 pf. I just average my most accurate load, and ~9-10 pf cushion is way more than enough when my SD is 7.
  18. This lefty uses ghost 360 pouches with bullets out.
  19. So, I've spent the last 3 days reading this thread and absorbing as much knowledge elsewhere possible. Its been amazing. I'm currently deployed, but I think ill be able to swing an LMS mini mill, cnc conversion, and accessories when I get home. My plan is to work on my guns and simple projects and see where it takes me. I operated a cnc lathe for Stanley tools for a short period (6 months or so) about 13 years ago before I enlisted, and I've wanted to really learn cnc machining ever since. One question, I've seen some cutting tools mentioned, but could I get a list of some of the most common ones/sizes used for gun projects (end/ball mills, facing, cutting dovetails, etc)? I'm guessing its going to be multiples of a few different sizes.
  20. I'm a lefty, and this is what I use. EDIT: this was supposed to be a quote... I use the BOSS hanger with a bladetech pouch.
  21. BOSS hanger with a bladetech pouch for my Production gun (CZ)

    Shadow mag release

I bridged blue loctite from the head of the screw to the frame. I was afraid of stripping or breaking off the head of that screw and messing up my frame.
  23. I just bought a 650 for a lot of the same reasons OP has. Too bad I'm deployed and won't see it for ~5 months... Anyone want an LNL AP?
  24. I have a 22/45 (full weight, not lite) with an AAC Element 2 on it. Runs great.
  25. What's the notch width and depth?
