Nils got 2nd last year with a Canik, and Max Michel used a plastic X5 before the Legion existed, iirc. I don't think a light gun is holding people back much, if any.
-
That's completely unenforceable. Do you expect RO's, that are unpaid volunteers, to be knowledgeable of every single gun on the Production list and know exactly what every single factory/aftermarket part looks like? Even then, you cannot tell the difference between unmarked springs, etc. Having a list of guns, a set of action types (DA/SA, Striker), a magazine limit, and let most mods go because people like to tinker is much easier and leads to more people having a gun that can compete.

They also sell on amazon

They're the same. This is per the Safariland rep that came to my unit and sold us Liberator 3's for our helmets.

I use a gopro session. Here's my mount setup Geissele hat I got as swag from buying stuff from them A chinese tripod mount off amazon a fender washer and a bolt. Drill a hole in the bill of your hat, and bolt it on. Like I said, I have a session, and it's much lighter than a standard gopro. I don't know if it will make the bill too floppy with a fullsize gopro. I want to say the whole setup cost me less than $10.

Production-15: Make Production Great Again!

So? This game IS a race. -
I've had 1 fail in about 12k shot. I tried it multiple times, so it wasn't a light strike.

During the summer, set it on your AC unit. All the other times, https://www.amazon.com/NESCO-FD-37A-Dehydrator-Speckled-Marbled/dp/B00CS5ZI6G/ref=sr_1_20?crid=2U89AWJNLOJQF&keywords=food+dehydrator&qid=1568155948&s=gateway&sprefix=food+deh%2Caps%2C167&sr=8-20 is cheaper than the reloading company rebadged food dehydrators.

Bodies aren't machines that wear out from use (yes, they do from age). Powerlifting has the lowest incidence of injury out of any sport involving weights. Lifting heavy isn't necessarily going to be bad for your body in the long term. Your body isn't a car that gets worn out from use. Actually, resistance training improves quality of life and is one of the best things you can do to ensure it in old age (basically, diet, sleep, and exercise).

Couldn't you just solder that in place and solve the problem? It blows my mind that it's not soldered from the factory.

Where to buy small replacement parts for 650?
SV650Squid replied to Slalom45's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I had a sub plate break, and they wanted it back also. First thing the guy on the phone asked was if I was using a swager. I only run 9mm/.40 on my 650 -
I'm left handed, so round goes in dirt. I'll pick it up if I saw where it went. It shouldn't be anything fancy, and there's no "fastest ULSC" award, so take your time.

What are the best upgrades you`ve done 650xl
SV650Squid replied to xdr's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I used some painter's tape around the ski jump to fix the live primer issue. The tape doesn't let them bounce out, and I just replace it 2/year when I tear down for cleaning. I have an LED strip and a $6 clamp light clamped on the casefeeder arm. The UniqueTek micrometer powder bar upgrade The dillon roller arm and strong mount roller bearing upgrade I have a 3d printed primer chute to replace the hopper, but I haven't gotten around to getting some tubing for it and installing it I really want a bullet feeder -

Chip in slide locking lug, should I be concerned?
SV650Squid replied to SV650Squid's topic in 1911-style Pistols
Likely the best answer, I just figure no one is working because Labor Day weekend. I know I'm not. Barrel pics, as requested. -
I was cleaning my 2011 today and noticed this chip in the rearmost locking lug in the slide. The gun has 5-6k rounds through it. My load is 172 pf (4.9 gr N320 180gr coated lead is typical). Pic below, there's more here: https://imgur.com/a/Hmg8RJL Should I be concerned about my barrel fitment, and should I send it back to the builder?

Trigger press is a fine motor skill. The argument doesn't hold water for people who train a lot. Gross motor skills are for the lay person.

I like the Oakley Prizm TR22 lens. Generally, I use the lightest tint my eyes can comfortably handle (light sensitivity since I got PRK).
-
My load is 23.4 gr 8208, LC brass, 77 gr smk, 2.260" Work it up, it's over book (by .1 gr).

So I broke the platform of my 650
SV650Squid replied to SV650Squid's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I figured it was an "I've never seen this before" thing, so I thought pics would make things easier. -

Also, the crack went through to the bottom of the casting. I noticed that while I was in line at USPS, but I didn't get a pic. -
So I broke the platform of my 650
SV650Squid replied to SV650Squid's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Bought in 2016 right before the enos store closed. About 15-20k through it, iirc. I think it was just a bad casting. Dillon said it was the first they've seen too. -
Over the holidays, I tore my 650 down for some deep cleaning. I noticed this: I sent these pics in to Dillon to see what they had to say on Dec 31st. They replied on Jan 10 (7 business days). They asked if I was using an aftermarket swager and what my address was. I answered that I have not, and I've only run 9mm and .40 through this press. On Jan 12th, I got my RMA #, and sent it off the original platform on the 17th (didn't have time before then due to work) and it arrived on the 19th. I got a shipping notification on the 24th, and I received my parts on the 26th. Only complaint I can come up with is that they're slow on emails, which they warn you of on their website.

MBX mags. I've adjusted the feedlips, but other than that, just changed springs 1 to 2 times a year.
