  1. SRT, No saving Private Ryan type stages from me. This damn work thing is killing me. I will have to see what i can come up with for future matches.
  2. When I counted there will be the 3 GM's in Production, and at least 10 M's in other divisions. I plan on being there, but it is going to be a crazy time for me. I won't know 100% to the last minute. If you want to know what a long day at the range is like, work on Saturday. You start at 6am and hope to leave for home by midnight!
  3. I own three Stihl saws, and there is no question they are the best. Huscavarna (sp?) would be a very close 2nd. I hear what you are saying though about being worn out. Most of the time when I have the saws running, I will be working an 8+ hour day on them. Unless you do it alot, and know how to pace yourself, the possitions you get into while running a chain saw can really wear you down.
  4. I've never had the slide stop come out completely, but I had one start to come out during a stage, and that is one hell of a jam to clear. I finially figured out what was wrong, but it turned a good run into a "Wow he actually Finished the Stage" kind of run. Sucks.
  5. Man, I wish I had less than 100 E-Mails caused by this thing. My work computer recieves one every few minutes. I had something like 90 this morning when I came in. People who write this crap should be put against the wall and shot.
  6. Whatever once fired the local cops leave on the range.
  7. Had some problems with one of our two wood stoves. Got it fixed Friday, and last night with one of the two stoves going it was 76 degrees in the house. A little to warm for me, but since I was burning free scrap wood that I get from work it felt great. I normally don't turn the boiler on in the house until Jan., and if I can avoid it I would like to keep it off this entire winter. FWIW, I live in Northern IL, so the stoves wont keep up once it gets colder than -5 or so.
  8. Well, I haven't been able to make it to the last two Area 5 matches, but this will be a lot closer for me. Should only be a 2-3 hour drive. I will have to mark it on the calender. The good news is it shouldn't be so damn hot as it is when you head south. On the other hand, anybody besides me remember Ara when it was up in MN. Good GOD that was hot.
  9. I wanted to show some of my Co-Workers his old avatar, anbd it was changed before I could. I thought it was GREAT! That is just what I feel like some days at the office.
  10. Nice. You will also be able to use it in the Single Stack Division from the looks of the gun. And the mag in the picture will be legal as well.
  11. A gun is a tool. No more, no less. If I put it on the table next to a hammer, they both would have just as much of a chance of hurting someone as the other, until one of them wass picked up. Spook is right, Take her shooting, and hopefully she will start to see that guns are nothing to be afraid of, just respected. As far as CCW, I think the saying goes something like "You never need a gun, until you REALLY need a gun." Same reason you wear a seat belt. A seat belt can be uncomfartable, restrictive, and generally a pain in the ass, but if you ever need it, you REALLY need it.
  12. You got it! he showed up in his colar, and "Man in Black" suit. I will know he is an imposter if he starts shooting Open.
  13. Last night we had a new shooter show up for our usual Thursday night IPSC league. Nothing super interesting there, except that he is a Roman Catholic Priest working for the Bishop. Has anyone ever heard of a fulltime priest, shooting IPSC / USPSA? I was half tempted to ask him if I could say 3 Our Father's instead of taking the procedural.
  14. Rsotelo, am I correct that these are being made by our mutual friend? I am supprised he isn't marketing them here.
  15. Took me a minute of looking to get the joke.
  16. That is pretty funny. One of my relatives had a lady who was obviously having a heated argument on her cell phone in front of her on the highway about 2 weeks ago. The lady on her cell phone wandered over towards the shoulder enough that her tires caught the lip of the pavement, and she over corrected for it. Her car fish tailed, and my relative T-Boned her. Lady on the phone was DOA, but everyone else was OK. The other, not so funny side of being on the phone too much.
  17. I bet they are out of "White" blood for the guy. Just thought of the old MASH eppisode that had somehting like that.
  18. But, but, but.. that's not tactical! The mall Ninja's will revolt! 5.11 will only be able to sell one complete set of clothes, instead of 5. Doags and cats living together! Total anarchy.

  22. Welcome! There is a lot of information here to help you learn, and some great people to answer questions. Hope you get as much out of the Forum as I have.
  23. I notice this thread again as I was going through here ,and thought the simple answers of "NOT ENOUGH" and "NOT AS HIGH AS I WANT TO BE." was what I should have put the first time through.
