  1. I can tell I am in a bad place this morning, 94% EVIL. Ready to hop on my US Postal service pogo stick, and go for a ride.
  2. Well, I was lucky enough to by mistake end up at a location where I could try out / on just about every top of the line chair in the same building. The company I work for is working on a project at Chicago's Merchandise Mart, and all of the high end chair manufactureurs have a show room in the Mart. Herman Miller, Stellcase, humanscale, and a bunch more. In the end, I have decided to go with the Humanscale Freedom. I spend hours reading over contracts and spec. books for my job, so the automatic adjusting head rest on the Freedom was a real selling point for me. Not cheap by any means, but when you spend 8-10 hours a day in a chair I hope it will be worth it. By the way, for those of you in Chicago, if you have never been to the Mart it is worth the trip. Pretty amazing place. You can't buy anything there, but if you want ideas and to see the EXTREME in high end, that is the place to visit.
  3. Interesting thread. This is the question I am currently faced with. Due to changes in my life I no longer have the time to devote to shooting like I used to, which means I don't shoot at the level I used to. I find it very frustrating when I know I can do better, but don't have the time to be at that level any longer.
  4. Thanks for all the great info, and the video. I have been looking at going to a 650 for awhile now, but I think I will just continue to improove my 550.
  5. So you think the insurance company will cover a car that was wrecked while the driver was doing 200 MPH on a public highway? I guess if you can afford one in the first place, you can afford to replace one after you crash it.
  6. I noticed how old the thread was, but I thought I would give BE a chance to reply here, before I PM him.
  7. I'll add on to my request for information if anyone has any thoughts on "Humanscale" chairs?
  8. I turn to the strong side 99.9% of the time. There is much less of a chance of getting to fast on the draw, and breaking the 180 this way. To be honest, on "Turn and shoot" stages like an El Pres, my week side foot never makes the turn 100%. Strong side is both a safety factor for me, and it seems faster. I took the last three months COMPLETELY off from shooting, and last week still managed a 5.33 on an El Pres. That's good enough for me.
  9. Congrats! Now the real work begins.
  10. I debated between the one I am using, and the more common "He Who Dares, Wins."
  11. I have looked at both the Herman Miller, and the Nightingale CXO. Anyone have any experience with the Nightingale? BE, did you ever get a Miller, and if so what do you think of it? I spend about 6-8 hours a day in my office chair, and the POS that i currently have REALLY needs to be replaced.
  12. 13 degrees when I left for work this morning. Been an easy winter thus far, but I already can't wait for "Spring" to get here.
  13. First WIIT I missed in the passed 4 or 5 years. I'm glad I chose not to shoot. I only managed to get 2 hours of sleep the night before the match started, so I would have been less than 100% anyway. With some luck I will get back to shooting this week. As always, much thanks to all that help to put on this match.
  14. Isn't great that the state with PASA Park ,and now this new shooting facility, is one of THE MOST anti gun states in the U.S.! Here's a question for you, with Chicago trying to get the Summer Olympics, how would that work with the proposed weapons ban? Sorry for the thread drift.
  15. Whatever you end up doing, please don't "F" around with this. My wife lost her father when she was 13 due to sleep apnea. He was scheduled to see his doctor the morning after he died.
  16. I have been looking at getting a good office chair for awhile now. I REALLY like the Nightingale CXO, but at $700 I haven't been able to pull the trigger. I have sat in a co-workers Herman Miller, which goes for about $800, and it's AWSOME.
  17. Oh, no problem! Just send it out to the CNC machine in the shop. Did I mention that I work at an architectural millwork company?
  18. Trigger, That was my gun you tried to Ginsu your finger on. Like I said at the 4 classifier, the extractor was just gummed up. When I got home I was able to just pop it out, (without a knife even). I still feel bad about your getting hurt, and I do appreciate your trying to help. Apparently that was the problem with my 1911 feeding. Didn't have a single flaw during the 4 classifier. So at least something positive came from the incident. I won't be shooting the WIIT. But hope your able to make it. Jim Jim, Glad to hear the gun ran well at the match this last month. I will not be shooting the WIIT, but the finger healed up just fine. My pride will take a lot longer to heal, and i am sure I will get Shit about it for years to come. Tim
  19. Rememer a few years ago when they had the "Creeper" Stage? You had to lay face down on a mechanics creeper, and scoot from rat hole to rat hole and engage targets. Doing reloads while prone on that thing SUCKED.
  20. Dawson use to make an "Indoor" version of their FO, but they have since stopped. I have one on my Limited gun, and for indoor shooting, it ROCKS. I talked with Dawson about getting another one, and he said he could make me one, but wanted $70.00. I haven't decided yet if I like the sight that much. If you want further tech. data on what their indoor sight was like, PM me and I can send you dimensions and some pics.
  21. Hard to say about Masters in L-10. I wont be there. Possible are Ken Ja, Ralph S., Eddie D., John Smith, and I am sure there are more I am not thinking of. I am usually the leader of the hard core L-10 people, but this year it could be up for grabs. Who knows, maybe Manny will decide to shoot L-10. He sandbags as a master in that division.
  22. Pete shot this last Sunday, so I guess he is telling his Dr. to tap sand, and shooting anyway. Rich is out, his back is just too bad. I haven't seen Ron V. in a really long time. As for me, I am all healed up, but not shooting. I plan on calling Dan later today to let him know I am out. Just no motivation to shoot, which means I would be wasting my time and money, and more than likely get pissed off at myself.
  23. I don't know if it is burn out, but I just don't care right now. Going to continue the vacation from shooting for awhile, and see how things shake out.
  24. OMG is that funny!! AND WRONG!! Please, make sure some of Jake's fellow shooters pick up his mags and brass. If he starts bending over to do it, it will be the end of USPSA.
