Like BOGA said, here in Northern IL, it isn't rare at all to shoot in below freezing temps. I love Slide Glide, but in the winter I either thin it quite a bit, or just run Break Free, or a synthetic oil. As soon as I know the temps are going to stay above 50, I get back to the pure Slide Glide. I have learned the hard way, just how slow the slide can run when using a grease type product in cold temps.

I do a full, down to the springs cleaning every 5000 rounds. I wipe the gun down, add lube, and check things over before every match. Gotta love Slide Glide as long as it is warm enough.

Progress report. Tonight will be our third night with the baby at home. The first night was PURE HELL! I think I managed to get about 45 minutes of sleep. Last night was MUCH better. Casey and mom are doing fine, things continue to improove as we are all figuring out our schedules. Thanks to all for the good wishes. I will see some if not most of you at the WIIT next month. I will probably shoot like what I am finding in Casey's diapers, but there are only so many hours in the day.

My wife and I had our first child this past Thursday 12/29/05 at 9:43 pm. Casimir David Pawlowski was about 2 weeks early, which means he takes after his father, since I am always early for everything. Say hello to a future GM (if he wants to be anyway).

I want shooting to become fun again for me. The last year or so it has been more work than anything else. I have taken the last month or so off, and can honestly say I don't miss shooting. I'll get back to it after the 1st of the year, but if I can't make it fun like it was in years past a longer time away might be needed.

I hate that it is 6:30 on a Saturday morning, I am already at work with 57+ hours for the week, and I probably wont get home until 7 or 8 pm tonight. Add on to that the fact that I am salery, and not getting paid any more for all the extra time at work, and I shift into PISSED OFF MODE!

Thanks for sharing. I hadn't seen that one yet. Good to start the day with a laugh.

Thanks for sharing the Pics. Stay safe, and tell all to have as Merry of a Christmas as possible.

KICK ASS. That is a great Christmas Present.

Last year I earned a slot by being High "A" at Area 3 in my Division, and 2nd overall. Since I was able to repeat this year at Area 3 I assume that I will once again be offered a slot. I hope that is the case, so I don't have to beat up anyone at our club to get a slot from them.

The local radio station was calling this a "Tookie Free Tuesday!" I LOVED it.

Not that it was a big shock, since I told my wife what I wanted, and then she left the catolog sitting out, but Brownells did the same thing to me yesterday. They are trying to be proactive about letting their customers know what is going on, which is great except when it is supposed to be a present.

Wiit 2006

Yup, and it dawned on me on the way back to the club after getting the stiches, that I bet the guys gun was a series 80. No F'ing wonder the extractor wouldn't budge. If Newbie could confirm that for me, I would feel a little bit less like a dumb A$$. On a side note, I shot some air rifle today, and the trigger finger is just fine. I will be ready for the WIIT. -
My brother is a sales rep for a company that sells the screws for spinal fusion. I can get you a single screw from him that cost well over $600.00. Then you would be well and truely "SCREWED".

That does suck. I wonder if you mentioned that you were ordering a X-Mas present if they would still do that? I have ordered from them several times, but have never recieved anything as far as a bill or packing list via E-Mail.

I could be wrong, but I believe they (USPSA) have changed the layout of this COF. Maybe check on the USPSA websiteto see if the layout they show is different as the one at the begining of this thread. As it is, I just stood up, grabbed the gun and shot everything from where is was standing. Yes, you are shooting at a narrow profile of the target, but remember the highest area the bullet hole touches is what scores.

I have to go home and put the snow thrower on the tractor. I will take Hate for $300.

Wiit 2006

All of the usual suspects! I heard Ron isn't shooting much these days. Ron is out with hip problems. I believe Mike Stevens is out, since he just had knee surgery. Eric will be there to the best of my knowledge, but he hasn't been shooting very much lately. RIIID (Rich D.) might be out with back problems. (Hope youare feeling better Rich). The rumor is that Pete M. might be out as well. We all need to get on some type of USPSA medical plan, we are falling appart. I did find out that Manny Bragg will be shooting, and helping to sponser the match. Ted Puente sounds like he is in as well. I managed to put 10 stitches into my trigger finger this past Sunday at the monthly match, so I will have to see if I will be able to shoot. -

I spoke with Perry Wilson thtis past weekend, and he said the range this will be held at is HUGE. Since it is in Wisconsin can people use golf carts, or will they have to ride a cow? I went to school in Da Point for 4 years, so I speek da pretty Wisconsinese. Oh yah, load and make ready der, don't yah know. -

Interesting way of breaking up the divisions. Then again, I guess they are trying to do something different each year. -
