Awesome thanks. I was looking for a starting point. I'll start at 4.2 and work up to 4.6 by .1 increments and see where it lands to get me comfortably in major.
Black nitride is a solid finish that isn't a "coating" but a chemical process to the steel. If you are looking for a durable black color finish this would work.
When you rerun them through, is each station full? I find that if I don't have a case in each station when reloading that I get a variance of around +/- .005.
I have the alpha x for my cheely e2 grip and it is very smooth, I had the safariland 014 for my previous limited gun which I loved but the extra wide frame on the cheely prevented me from being able to use it as it wouldn't retain the gun or allow the lock to engage. I'm interested in trying the safariland 015 when that releases later this month.
I think you meant 1.2oal, not 1.12 for n310
For what its worth, I use n320 5.0gr at 1.18oal under 180gr precision delta heads and see no reason to change.
I was assuming he was referring to the xc or the xl model. If I was comparing those, I would spend a bit more and get one built.
I thought the P was a bit more expensive, so I stand corrected from that perspective.
For the money that STI is charging for a production gun nowadays, I would spend a couple hundred more and have one of the reputable builders build one to my specs.
I'm loading .40 on a dillon 650. I have an issue with brass stamped federal NT. The primer always gives me issues while attempting to seat them. The pockets seem to be too tight. I'm using cci small pistol primers. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, should I try swaging them or just toss that brass and move on?
I have one built by cheely. The gun balances very nicely. It is a bit heavier out front compared to my other limited gun but I've found it does shoot flatter and the sights return faster for me. An increase in transition splits from target to target was a concern prior to me buying it but I haven't seen any difference on the timer
