  1. 3.5gr of n320 using 147gr precision delta rn @1.14oal gave me 132pf out of my mpa 2011 and 136pf out of my canik and dwx
  2. Prices seem to have gone crazy on the 2011 side with custom builders in the last couple years. I reached out to a builder a couple months ago and had asked for a price on a build and was quoted almost 2k more than a quote I got from the same builder 2 years earlier. Glad I got my cheely back when I did, I don't know that I can justify it now.
  3. Nicely done! I am happy with mine too. The only minor gripe I had was that the barrel is slower than my DWX and Canik so I had to bump up the charge an extra .2grns to make minor with a comfortable buffer.
  4. I have the ds9 hybrid Idpa version and although it isn't as good as my cheely limited gun, it is a very good value for the money.
  5. I think having aluminum for 9 is fine, I prefer steel for a .40 though.
  6. 5.2 gr of n320 at 1.18 oal under 180gr pd's got me to 170 pf
  7. I've had good luck with my ds9 so far. It runs factory ammo and my reloads no problem using mbx mags that came with it. It's a good option for the price point. Not as well built as my cheely, but I didn't expect it to be since it's a "semi custom" gun.
  8. I ended up at 3.5gr of n320 147gr precision delta at 1.14 oal for my ds9 hybrid to get me to 135pf. The barrel for the ds9 is slower than the dwx that I have by about 50fps.
  9. I just tried the dwx in my daa alpha x holster with the SV/STL block in it and it fits nicely with a smooth release
  10. If anyone is looking for a load for their dwx. I found that 3.4gr of n320 with 147gr precision delta rn projectiles @1.142 oal makes 132pf and is very soft
  11. Here you go. I would have liked to take more material off but I like how it came out overall. I would look elsewhere if I were to do it again though.
  12. I received the slide back today and weighed the dwx with the lightweight LOK grips and the skeleton cut slide from cgw. With an empty p10f mag it weighs exactly 43 oz. Right on the nose for idpa ESP. I'll use it for idpa at local matches but would consider milling out the center of the picatinny rail if I were going to bring it to a major match.
  13. It's not a 1911 guide rod unfortunately. I've got my slide at CGW to have some weight taken out of it. I wanted to do that and potentially have a section milled out of the middle of the pic rail on the frame. I opted to just do the slide cuts for now as I should be good with the lightweight lok grips and the slide cuts. When i get it back from cgw I will share the weight
  14. I ordered the ds9 hybrid IDPA model, the website said 12-14 weeks but mine was delivered in 8 weeks. I'm very happy with it. For the price point it is very hard to beat. It's not quite as good as my cheely limited gun but I wasn't expecting it to be the same. I figured it would be a great ESP gun, now I'm thinking of getting the optic plate to run it in LO for uspsa.
  15. I got the red hill tactical for my ds9 with the butler cut.
  16. I bought one as soon as I could find it. I love the feel of it. It shoots great, I'm patiently waiting to get it back from cgw so I can get more time behind it, I'll probably adjust the trigger weight a little bit when it comes back. I prefer it to be a bit lighter than it currently is.
  17. Out of the options you put there I'd pick the ds9 or the dwx. For the price the dwx is a great gun, the ergos of a cz with a trigger like a 1911. It's a great gun, but as you mentioned you'll send it for slide cuts but still be ahead of the game and we'll under your price range. I have a ds9 on the way but held one in a gun store and although it's not as nice as my cheely limited gun, it felt better to me than a staccato.
  18. Atlanta arms and ammo used to sell long .40 in minor. Not sure if they do now but they used to before I started reloading years ago.
  19. Will do, I was quoted a March completion date, I'll post as soon as I get it put back together.
  20. That's what I was leaning towards but ended up getting lok ultralightweight grips and having CGW do some slide cuts. That should do the trick.
  21. I'd vote for the DWX. I love mine. I prefer the 1911 style trigger pull over any other hinged trigger though. That's probably the main difference. That being said, you won't go wrong with either.
  22. Yes It's an adjustable rear sight
  23. I just installed the lok ultralight thin grips and with an empty mag it brings the weight down to 43.4oz with a empty mag. Needs to lose a bit more weight to make it IDPA ESP legal. The gun shoots great and I'm very happy with it.
  24. It fits in the SV/STL block, although there is a little play front to back. It does lock and won't fall out.
