  1. D4 21.2a Slide – refinishing Per existing NROI ruling, cosmetically enhancing the finish of a slide is already ALLOWED in Production Division, provided that the finish provides no com-petitive advantage. This clause is NOW interpreted to specifically ALLOW refinishing the frame, as well as the slide, subject to the existing constraints on refinishing (cos-metic only, no competitive advantage). Special Notes/Clarifications: • Any finish which provides a non-cosmetic function will be deemed PROHIBITED. For example, a gun finish which provides a roughened texture in an area where grip tape is not allowed (Appendix E4) is a PROHIBITED modification.
  2. Thanks Dan, I like to get it done as close to April 15th as possible. IRS has already loosened thing up
  3. Wow, ten years goes so fast. Time for the second one. Good thing is the prep has improved so i don't have to drink a gallon this time Tuesday will be a fun day.

  6. some sort of mandatory recertification for everyone every few years doesn't seem out of line .... I agree, I have paid for and taken the RO course 2 times. Second time was for a self imposed refresher. Main reason was John Amidon was teaching it. It made me a better RO and I continue to keep taking the tests and reading the book, but I no longer run a timer. Too slow on my feet for it now to be effective and keep the range safe. I understand that. Some don't
  7. You guys need to look at the Vermont Green Mountain Boys. They shoot year round. Always wanted to try a winter match. https://youtu.be/Kp0NBlFcLOY
  8. Now that is a shooting team I would join in a minute! "Short bus Shooting team" I actually love that! How classic would it be to go in on an old short bus and drive together to matches in that? Awesome!! Looked into this a few years ago. Built properly, the rear of the bus could be a gear safe accessible from the side lift door. I had plans but could never find a bus I could afford. We also were going to limit it to Revolver Shooters for obvious reasons
  9. If you don't want to read the USPSA rules, do yourself a favor and at least read the appendix for the division you plan to shoot. Production is D4 As for IDPA, I am just going to try to go back to it on a limited basis and don't yet understand the rules
  10. Well, I am moving on. I decided to work with what worked in the past for me and just be patient with progress. I am currently warming up with my sport Gripper on the left hand and the #1 on the right. After warmup, I use the #1 on the left hand for as many reps as I can and the #2 on the right same way. Later in the day, I work a little with the Egg. I have an IMTUG coming to work individual fingers and for pinch strength and will see how that goes. Here is the plan: http://captainsofcrushgrippers.com/ironmind/opencms/gripperfaq.html
  11. One UPS driver is scared to death of the Corgi. One day I went out and the dog followed and the guy was heading to the truck. Then he saw the dog and said "I always thought he was bigger"
  12. I agree it started slow but I was addicted by the 4th episode. Really hooked now.
  13. Greetings all. I hope I am not out of line asking for free advice but my physical therapists, although very good, are not much help with this and actually look at me funny because I am asking for shooting help. It is Massachusetts after all. Little history: I had carpal tunnel surgery both hands in 2012. Left hand worked well with all feeling returning but developed arthritis in fingers. They are now a little stiff but function. Right hand failed and I ended up with a better surgeon who performed a median nerve release and abductor flap. Except for some pain in the palm, hand is working better than before surgery. Other surgeries on ankle and back put me on crutches from December until recently and also caused trigger thumb right hand and trigger finger left ring finger. Both hands have been repaired again. I have not shot a match in 2 years now and I am anxious to get back to some practice. Even though I still use a cane to assist me walking, I went to the range the other day and found that even with dry firing, my grip is gone. Trigger speed is glacial, unable to do double taps at all and keeping the sights on target is difficult. The strength for hand gun mechanics just isn't there. Arms are strong from using crutches but it us a different strength. In the past I used the Iron Mind grippers. I was up to 10 reps each hand with the #2 gripper. Now, I cannot get more than 2 from the Trainer. Because of this, I have been using the Iron Mind Egg. I am considering the Imtug for fingers, but decided to ask here first. What I am asking for help with is exercises to develop my forearm, wrist, fingers, and hand strength again. I also need to develop finger dexterity again. At 64yrs old, things are not coming along as I wish and the exercises I used 2 years ago, seem to hurt my hands rather than help. I am not going to be able to shoot any field courses this year because of the ankle fusion but if I can get mechanics back, i hope to shoot some steel. Any help and advice is appreciated from the B ENOS knowledge base. and I thank you all in advance. Gary
  14. And I bet you had the date correct too

  16. 1 week post surgery tomorrow. Trigger thumb right hand feels better than it has in a long time. Even with stitches, I am able to work on my grip. Trigger finger left hand is a little sore in the knuckle but I keep stretching the hand and it gets better every day. Very glad I had this done.
  17. How does he know I dont have 8 rounds predeterminedly picked out for chrono, that are loaded differently than the stuff I shoot at the match? If integrity is being brought into the discussion, than the mods may as well lock this thread now, because cheating at chrono is absolutely EASY if that's the type of person you are. Not when I do chrono. I choose the ammo when you arrive either from your belt or your bag my choice. That would be a first for me. At every level II and up I have been to shooters are given bags on the first stage to put chrono ammo in. It is collected by staff and taken to chrono. I can't imagine the backlog at chrono when bullets have to be pulled and weighed while the squad is there. That chore should be complete well before the squad shows up. Bullets pull fast. Never had a back up yet. BUT, always have adequate help.

As for the original post, Production regulates the firearm, not the ammo (except for power factor). It is up to the shooter to determine if his ammo firearm combination makes power factor. It someone has no idea if they make power factor, they are opening themselves up for a rude awakening. I ran into it with a shooter and a Sig 229 using Winchester white Box 115gr ammo. When he showed up at chrono, I knew he wasn't going to make it but he had no idea.
  19. You may get more answers moving this to the Revolver section. I bet a Mod can do that. There are several active IPSC revolver shouters there.
