  2. Tried to post data. Didn't work. Sorry I would pull the bullets and start at 5.8 with a chrono and see where you are compared to published data. Although I reload 357SIG, I have never used Universal. Hornady has data as does Hodgdon. They conflict seriously
  3. From your response I got the impression that if a shooter realized they forgot their muffs and stopped shooting, you were in the group that would "score it as shot". I agree with you that the RO does not know if the shooter normally double plugs or not, but I also feel that if a shooter quickly realizes he made a mistake and forgot his muffs he should be allowed to rectify the situation. Start of the stage is Make ready. Instead of dancing around at the line and airgunning every target, the shooter needs to make sure they are ready by checking gear including eye and ear protection. As a RO, during that time, I look at the shooter also. If I see you don't have mags on your belt, I will comment. (Except for that one time JAR left his fancy shotgun loaders on the bench at a local match, the look on his face was worth the evil omission) If I see you don't have ear protection I will tell you. From that point on, you are on your own. If you usually use double hearing protection (I do) it is your responsibility to take care of that at the Make ready. If I see plugs and glasses in use, I have done my job as the RO. I agree with the first Gary, too much gaming in this sport to tell weather the shooter was having a bad stage and is trying to use no muffs over plugs as an excuse or if he/she really needed them and stopped. I am not Carnac the Magnificent and don't read minds. For the most part, I am dealing with adults that are responsible for what they do.
  4. Unfortunately, you are correct, but from what the web site looks like, that is no longer the main focus group. The business has become very competitive and they have not kept up. I also dislike the constant popups on the website asking if I want to talk to people.
  5. You really need to shoot the Mass Classic. http://monsonactionshooters.com/ Bring your chair, ROs do all the taping and resetting.
  6. I truly hope they answer this. I have stopped buying from them because of a severe drop in service. They were always my number one. tagging this for follow up
  7. 5.4.3 If a Range Official notices that a competitor has lost or displaced their eye or hearing protection during a course of fire, or has commenced a course of fire without either one, the Range Official must immediately stop the competitor who will be required to reshoot the course of fire after the protective devices have been restored. 5.4.4 A competitor who inadvertently loses eye or hearing protection during a course of fire, or commences a course of fire without either one, is entitled to stop, point their handgun in a safe direction and indicate the problem to the Range Official, in which case the provisions of the previous rule will apply. If you usually wear plugs and muffs and start with just plugs, you have met the requirement of the rules. If you stop, you should be scored at that point. with all misses and penalties.
  8. Sounds promising Paul. I had my three week post injection appointment today. Injections didn't do anything at all for me. Surgery both hands Friday.
  9. Here is just what the OP asked for http://shop.hellyhansen.com/us/item/hh-warm-flow-high-neck-1-2-zip-48273/?t_type=src&COLOR=991%20BLACK%20%2F%20ALERT%20RED&t_type=cat
  10. Until 2 years ago I was a 5 morning a week gym person. Injuries made me stop. I truly HATE gyms due to the flu bugs and colds that are prevalent there. This winter has been a long recovery from a couple more surgeries but I have started getting back in shape. At 64, it comes back slower and slower. Between my Physical therapy and home, I am progressing. The two things that help me the most are body weight straps and exercise rubber tubes. Not real expensive and they work real well. The tubes allow just about every exercise type including squats and leg press and they take up very little space. As soon as I am off these damn crutches and can walk, I will be back on my bicycle. Here are the straps and tubes: https://www.trxtraining.com/ http://www.bodylastics.com/collections/all-products One thing I have learned, any exercise is better than none. Best of luck in your new program
  11. Thanks for posting. Having been on crutches all winter so far, my shoulders are taking a beating. These look good and I will be trying them along with my band exercises.
  12. I understand your frustration. I sent a pistol to a well known and respected (By others than me) gunsmith for repairs of a problem. Paid about $500 for the repair and first stage I shot, it misfired consistently. Returned it on my dime and had the same problem when I got it back. I had even sent 100 rounds of test ammo. Got it fixed elsewhere. It never should have had to go back the first time. No excuse for this type of work although many were offered.
  13. You are probably getting less gas flow from a frozen tank which makes the BTU output less. I love my Natural gas grill. Piped to the house gas and runs year round when we can dig it out.
  14. My 3" 66-5 should give me a little more weight than a J and works well for me. Just saw Greg's post. Guess the 66-5 is out. Yes it is 3.2"
  15. House bound since 2 surgeries in December (Back and ankle) Only thing is my 27yr old Son took care all the snow. Spring can't come too soon but I really don't want the 90 degree august weather either. Costa Rica maybe????????????
  16. Not even close but I grew up with one
  17. From another forum. Enjoy An Engineer could not find a job, so he opens a clinic, and puts a sign outside that says get treatment for $50, if not cured get back $100. A Doctor thinks this is a good opportunity to show up the engineer and earn a quick $100. And so he visits the clinic. Doctor: I have lost my sense of taste. Engineer: Nurse , bring the medicine from box no 22 and place 3 drops in the patient's mouth. Patient (Doctor): Spits out the medicine and says "This is not medicine, it's Gasoline". Engineer: Congrats.. you have your taste back ..that will be $50 Doctor gets annoyed, and returns after several days to recover his money. Doctor : I have lost my memory and can't remember a thing. Engineer : Nurse , bring medicine from box no 22 and put 3 drops in patient's mouth. Doctor: "This medicine is for the sense of taste" protests the Doctor. Engineer : congrats. your memory is back.. ..that will be $50 Doctor leaves, but after several days angrily returns for one last try. Doctor : My eyesight has become weak. Engineer : Well I don't have any medicine for that. Take this $100 Doctor : But this is $50 Note Engineer : Congratulations, your eyesight has gotten better. ..that will be $50
  18. Oakley bought out ESS a few years ago. This is what they did with the ESS patents. if you can find an old set if ESS prescription inserts that mount with the nose piece behind the lens, they may work. These are overpriced for what they are. I will stick to the ESS I got from my rep when they sold out.
  19. I really can't see that interpretation. By that reasoning, if I take a mag pouch off my belt to fix something and put it right back on in the same place it was, then I have violated the rule. Again I have to ask, what problem is this rule trying to solve? As long as the mag pouch remains within the limits for the division, what difference does it make. How am I gaining an advantage by moving a mag holder from one legal position to another legal position. Wasn't there an issue at Nationals a few years ago where someone added a bag to their belt for an ammo pickup stage? A couple shooters had the same bag but since they wore it the whole match, it was allowed while those adding had to remove it.
  20. They have been calling me for 2 months. Now is a robo call with no one to talk to. There was a new blurb on it saying they have bilked people out of about 30 million. Personally, I use this for Telemarketers since to no call list doesn't work.
  21. World famous. One of the best there is. Taught the one who taught me. Plus he looked over the Xrays from my Ankle Fusion done 12-12 and we talked that over. Real nice guy
