  1. Did you take off the grip to make sure the screw bushings were seated properly? Some of the older screw bushings have a beveled side to make clearance for the mags. I re-read and missed the part about you already moved this grip to other guns, so..... Looks like changing the mag catch to one that you know works would be another trial.
  2. If I were to start where you are, I would definitely take a class from someone. Then read all the books and watch the videos.
  3. I can see where a Ltd shooter would say, compete in the Limited Nationals then shoot in the L-10/Open Nationals back-to-back. They can use the same gear and just download their mags. As for those "hiding out" in L-10, the pool is small (as well as the prize table ) so it's mostly for bragging rights I guess. For me, because the law restricts pistol mags here, I will shoot regular capacity mags in the CONUS major matches (I can/have to shoot with restricted mag capacity at home). Some shooters can't get more than 10 round mags to shoot in Limited division.
  4. Congratulations to both of you
  5. Get it and maybe you can also try some of the plated bullets that run a little on the bigger side too.
  6. I'm confused, are you running 7625 or 4756? Hotter weather and a tighter barrel for the increase in velocity? I would have thought you would need more powder with more holes in the barrel too.
  7. I did my 11-87 and it was relatively easy, just read and follow the instructions. If you know how to wield a small hammer and punch, you're good to go
  8. They are on the vendor page of this forum. I get some of my S&W stuff from them.
  9. The Glocks were hard to adjust to because of the grip angle...until I was issued a Gen4 G22. That one works a lot better for me if I were to shoot a Glock in production. Currently shooting an M&P 9Pro with the Apex parts. The CZ's look interesting and if I were to get deeper into Production, that's what I would be going for because of the metal frame and feel.
  10. I spent the $$$ to get a CasePro because when I was using the U-dies for 38SC, some of the brass was getting pushed down by the die and shaving slivers off the case. Never had that problem with the U-die before, maybe the brass alloy is softer??? In any case, the CasePro made a difference and now I don't have to toss a bunch of brass.
  11. The RL is for rim less and it depends how much tension your extractor has. If your gun can run Super and Super Comp it'll probably handle the Armscor AP. My gun is setup for Super Comp and I tried to run some used AP 38 RL and had some malfunctions with it so I gave up on AP RL brass. There are other shooters I shoot with and their open guns run with Super and Super Comp so they snagged my AP brass. Only way to find out if it works for your gun is to shoot it and see.
  12. if it's marked with RL then it'll be close to SuperComp otherwise it'll be semi-rimmed Super
  13. Depends...if you left the ratchet device on it might not let you raise the toolhead if you run into a small primer pocket brass and the powder bar travel may be shortened and you might not get the full load of powder in that case. Might be better off in hand sorting before loading and I see some guys are looking for small primer pocket 45 brass to buy. Only way to know for sure is to try it and see or if someone else has already tried it (reason for your post).
  14. I asked for the part number for the new M&P Pro 9mm and was quoted that part number at that price. None in stock but she did let me place the backorder. 1(413)781-8300 option 7 for parts. for those interested in how i place my order. Thanks for the info, I placed my order a couple of days ago and got on the back order list (6-8 wks?).
  15. I would think with the short barrel, the blast would be extreme to make major...maybe make the comp work better? Or for a steel gun?
  16. Re-shoot should have been offered at the beginning. Next time call the RM asap (that's what they get paid the big bucks to do ).
  17. 9mm in SS will score you as minor, but you can use 10 rd mags. What if you put up the .45 to trade for a 9mm?
  18. My 550 was doing that same thing before I replaced it with a S1050. What was the fix?
  19. We look forward to having you shoot with us on Maui. There is even one of our club guys who ride mtn bikes when he's not shooting. I'll send you a PM.
  20. Now go load em and shoot em
  21. Looks like you may need to bell the case mouth a little more, not too much, when it goes through the powder drop. Try it and see what happens.
