  1. I've run into that issue recently, don't know why b/c in the past, there were no issues. I bought a CasePro and it's reduced the occurrence rate but some still get shaved. Used the undersize die and with the CasePro'd brass I just use the Dillon die (38SC).
  2. If you have a Pro model, I would do the USB and the RAM. Then save for an adjustable rear sight. If you have a regular model, I would do the Apex CAEK with the USB and RAM.
  3. I am at 95 units so far and by the end of this year I hope to hit the century donor milestone. Giving is easy, just do it. There are some cuties that make giving easier
  4. You could put the stock trigger return spring back in and that will add a little resistance that will deactivate the trigger safety.
  5. Hang around here and you will have access to the best info available on this sport. Plus, you live in a great area for action shooting events. Welcome
  6. Dawson Precision posi-lock is the one designed for this.
  7. Try and pull the striker and clean it and the channel. Mine, didn't have light strikes, but when I pulled it out there was some corrosion on the striker and in the channel.
  8. What was the reason for swaging the primer pockets?
  9. Check the vendor page and there is someone doing mag blueprinting or, sell the mag and buy one already tuned from Brazos (also a vendor).
  10. I use to have that occur in my STI and discovered the top round (going into the chamber) was dragging the next round forward. Enough so that when I tried to do a reload, that round stuck out enough to hang up on the barrel ramp and the mag would not drop. Found out it was the case lube I was using (maybe too much) was causing enough friction for the next round to "stick" to the top round that was going into the chamber. Once I cleaned the lube off it was all good (now I use a different lube).
  11. Sure you can be competitive with a Glock. Look at KC; Sevigny; Jessie...etc.. Just practice with what you have and you will be competitive. Make sure the gun and mags are reliable and you will do well. For some people it's kinda psychological in that they think they will do better with a certain brand of gun. Like some people say, "it's the indian and not the bow/arrow" (something like that).
  12. Which mag block are you using? I have the Hahn dedicated and it is good. One option is to get it where it works then drill and pin it in the receiver.
  13. I would call them and request to send it back. They are great to deal with.
  14. I got my email confirmation a couple of days ago. Looks like it's Wed/Thur for me unless someone drops out
  15. There were problems with Federal .40 brass with the headstamp of: FC Many case head separations with FC If it's marked: Federal it's okay
  16. My best friend is a regional airline pilot and his fiancé is a flight attendant. The problem starts at the ticket counter and the staff there turning a blind eye. It comes down to neither flight attendants or ticket counter people feeling like arguing with people who have a sense of entitlement for a barely liveable wage. And it's so heavy they can't lift it up to put in the overhead bin...
  17. Are you trying to lose weight on the barrel? Cheely does a nice job of spiral fluting. Don't know about how to do the front of the barrel, all I hear is it needs a good crown.
  18. Thanks for the info. Got my order in yesterday for a complete upper and a BCG. Received confirmation email on order and so far no 'back-order' notice...yet.
  19. Try and check if the detent ball (under the shell plate) is stuck in the down position. On mine, when there is some debris, it causes the ball to stay down in the depressed position and that causes the shell plate to over-rotate and the hole for the guide pins are blocked.
  20. Don't have a baby, but I'd put that on my truck
  21. You can also get grip tape in colors to match the SP plates
