  1. I'm on Maui but there are some BE members on Oahu that may post something. Maybe they can let you borrow their mags so you can shoot Open. I've shot with the MPPL (Mid Pacific Pistol League) guys there and they are a great bunch to shoot with. Haven't shot with HPS or Rhat-Rhat Boys in their matches...yet.
  2. No experience with this Sig but interested in getting one in .40 too. I liked the slide profile of the earlier .45's Sig put out, similar to the 2xx series. Hopefully the external extractor is a winner.
  3. I run the 13 coil springs in my 140 mags and only load 10. I had too many 13 coil springs on hand so that is why I used them. No problems with the mags loaded to only 10.

I had this with a agency gun the other day. I pulled the trigger out and it slid on. I can't tell you why this worked but it did. I'll have to try this push and pull the trigger.
  5. Buy em all and try em. If you don't like em, sell em (to me ) I don't see a problem with the bullets, see if you weigh some of them to see if they are close to their claimed weight.
  6. After rolling I size it with a Dillon carbide sizing die.
  7. I believe it's when the bullet has cosmetic "defects". I've shot a bunch of Hornady 121HAP's with dark spots on them before and experienced nothing bad with accuracy or the gun. Depending on what the blem (blemish) is, if it's cosmetic or dented. If the price is good, go for it. If you don't like them, sell them. If it's tarnished or spotted, you can toss them into the case cleaner to polish out most of it.
  8. Try it without the RAM and see if you can tell/feel a difference. For me, after shooting Glocks since 1994 and recently switched to a M&P9 Pro (with RAM), I still cannot feel the reset when shooting a stage. If I were to get another M&P, I won't use/get the RAM (save money).
  9. Been there, done that (no wonder my time was so fast) Sometimes I get to focused on a hard target and I forget the easy ones
  10. That's where I thought you went since I didn't see you at the range. Good to hear that you're okay. How did you manage to climb the guardrail? I hate that little entrance to Maalaea too. Gotta love the seatbelts and airbags, they work. I gotta go read that report.

The cover plate is fully seated. The slide goes onto all the rails and stops short of engaging the slide lock. Once it stops, the slide cannot move to the rear, it'll come off the front. Doesn't do it all the time and that's driving me nuts. When the slide does go on, the gun functions and fires normally.

The takedown lever is facing the correct direction (groove facing rear).

I ran into a problem with one of our department guns. After field stripping and when putting the slide assembly onto the frame, the slide will go on but stops with about 3/16" before the rear of the slide matches up with the rear of the frame. When the slide is going on, I can see the take down lever getting depressed then the slide just stops hard and cannot pull the slide back any further. The take down lever never engages the lower barrel lug. I've changed the recoil spring assembly, then it would work and then the same thing happens. Rotated the assembly and sometimes that helped. Made sure the recoil rod was in the circular cut each time. I've changed the take down lever and it would work then it locks up again. I've also changed the connector since the trigger pull felt gritty and that only made the trigger pull smoother but the slide still locked up. I've changed the trigger with trigger bar and that worked, so far. I've asked the guy if he has field stripped it and if the slide locked up again. He said he didn't field strip it since I changed the trigger bar. Anyone else run into something like this on the Gen 4 gun?
  14. I found what made a big difference in the trigger feel was using the APEX USB. The pull smoothed out a lot.
  15. Who's coming? The page must have updated.
  16. Try and check if the bolt that holds the rocker arm that works the primer rod is tight (don't know the correct name for it). It's on the right side of the machine and it is activated by the rod that comes down with the tool head, pushes down on it and it pushes the primer seating rod up. Mines get loose once in a while and it causes the primer to not fully seat.
  17. Try and check if that ball is stuck in the down position. When my shell plate rotates too far, I find it is because that ball is stuck in the down position.
  18. This is how I see it as well. Me too.
  19. 1 "If you are finished, unload and show clear" 2 Sounds like both knew something was not right so I would have stopped the shooter for safety. If the barrel was clear, then reshoot.
  20. You can try and put a brass (one with a primer pocket you like) without a crimp in the swage station, adjust the swaging rod into the primer pocket then adjust the expander. Then try it and see if you like it. If you can get a hand held primer tool you can feel how much pressure it needs to seat the primer. Using the 1050 and priming by feel is very difficult.
  21. good - a gun that is reliable better - a gun that is reliable and accurate best - a gun that is reliable, accurate and looks fast I like the STI platform because it's like the small block Chevy of the gun world (lotsa stuff for it) My current ride is a Cameron's Custom open gun , it's the best
  22. My load is 7.7-7.8 IMR 7625 with a Zero 121gr JHP (.356) with an overall length of 1.230. PF of 170-172 in Vegas and St. George. Gun has no popple holes.
  23. Good going bobert1 I like getting the t-shirts too, they use have good food too and sodas but someone complained there was no nutritional value in soda so they replaced it with sugared juices go figure.
  24. Nope, haven't been bitten by my M&P.....yet.
