  1. A chance to go home and shoot a match, may be fun?
  2. In a 45 its hard to wrong with clays, super clean and cheap also.
  3. Shouldnt we fix the pistol classification system first?
  4. Congratulations Paul; The honey-do's never end they just cycle fast and slow. Nice of her to give you an Open gun as a wedding gift. I will be practicing at CFRPC for the next 2 days if you need an escort, dont know if your a member? Just give me a call. I have to practice as I havnt shot a match in over a month.
  5. You will find lots of people are using the Browning gold 3" Turkey model, I love mine.
  6. So many colors so little time
  7. I am almost ready for a trip down there
  8. I have or rather my wife has a 98 Outback wagon and I love it, great mileage comfortable and holds everything for matches close & far. Although it does have a habit of moving itself at matches.
  9. 320 for major straight Clays for minor in 40. Straight Clays for everything in 45.
  10. Whey protein powder is the standard. I have found the whey from Costco is a deal and high quality.
  11. Is it the proper length???? I have seen several springs break, Wolf-Wilson and others due to spring stacking and the spring coils crashing together.
  12. Derek does build sexy guns. Nice machine work.
  13. I plan on being there. I have to shoot one certain field statge again just to appease myself.
  14. That looks good, is it aluminum? Taking Orders???
  15. Look at the 50 cal shooters acc. The McMillans are first rate, played with a mag fed sporter and it was awsome. You may be able to pick up a used nice custom built one at the fcsa.org websight. The armalite I tried was nowere near the sub MOA rifle the McMillan was.

    DQ

I feel your pain, I did it on my second to last stage of the florida Open last month, still kicking myself.
  17. Nemo; My new front sight got here in Orlando on Saturday, yours should be there soon.
  18. Its all what you want. If you want that nasty cheese and bean covered Tex-Mex stuff? Anywhere East and North of Midland will get you that verson. If you want very tasty with a Spanish and Indian flare Santa Fe is your bet. I happen to love blue corn at The Shed. Fish, Chicken and basic dishes are all over interior and coastal Mexico, although "real" Mexican food seems bland and lacking green chili for my palete. IMHO after searching all over the US for years, the green chili growing region of the Mesilla Valley, Las Cruces to Hatch New Mexico has the best food anywhere. Little cheep local dives like Chopies in Anthony and Roberto's in Las Cruces are tops in by book.
  19. My entry fee check was cashed today. Now we need to find a way to get Paul out and shooting again?
  20. Well despite my stupid mistake on stage 7 while blowing around the corner I had a good time with old and new friends. Pushing myself to hard for a class win with a new gun and getting trigger freeze cost me my first ever match DQ. It was no ones fault but mine that 180 rule is not 181, now is it? Already looking forward to next year. Now where is that darn C-more dot at?? Great job to all that worked the match and all the shooters that made it fun to shoot and watch.
  21. Check the USPSA for sale area, there is a sweet 24" accuracy Speaks that may just be perfect for you.
  22. I have found MG not quite as accurate as Zeros although not as bad as you discribe. True Blue didn't work well for me at all, way to much pressure at major and not very accurate. Try Ramshot Silhouette I have had good luck with it, see the 9mm major load data tread. I have decided I like it even better than 3n37.
  23. Sexy was that waitress Although the gun really is awesome. The lightrail is a nice touch and as usual Dereks fit, finish and attention to detail are first rate. The Birdsong black T is slick. Isnt it great having a sweet new gun delivered at a match and finishing the match with it running 100% from the first shot? Two stages before pictures, sacrilege. You really need some 140mm mags I can just imagine how many stages at the Open will need 20 rounds before that perfect reload spot?
