  1. 147RN blues 3.1 Universal Win SPP 1.130 Labradar chrono Ave 926fps ejection 10ft at 2oclock from my gen 2 carbine
  2. I got a bergara b14r and put in a bix n andy tac sport pro trigger set a 3.5oz. It shoots fantastic
  3. Gotta keep your MPX clean to run reliably. I don't see a reason why you could not but would expect you'll have to clean it more often. I shoot blues out of mine exclusively without issues. Used to shoot with a guy that shot hard cast lubed in a 40 cal G-Lock - his nick name was Kenny black powder Jones....
  4. How much does your "log" weigh in at? LOL - couldn't resist - "log" cracks me up
  5. Nice set up! So after trying both the XL and the Max do you prefer one over the other?
  6. Do they direct mount the way the slide come from the factory or did you have it milled? I thought the sigs were the same mount as RTS2 - which needs an adapter plate?
  7. Are those sig optics mounted direct to a Legion slide or sitting on an adapter plate?
  8. I have a 627 in 38 super. I tried a few major rounds once. If mooned together ejection is impossible. Trying to poke the empties out with a little screw driver would really slow down your reloads on the clock.
  9. I always wondered what it looks like when the bullet manufactures ship. In my mind the USPS guy pulls up in his residential delivery truck. He grumbles as he loads all cases in the back. As he drives away his little bumper is dragging the ground
  10. I don't think any of this is best but here is some trials I just did I had been using 8.0gr lil gun under 220 ELD out of a 8.5 psa barrel. Stayed sub sonic and cycled suppressed and locked open plus stayed sub sonic in a ruger ranch rifle with 16" barrel. I switched to a 8" CMMG barrel because it was lighter and move the suppressor closer to the hand gaurd - looked cooler... With this load/barrel I had some short stroking and the gun did not lock open on empty. I tried bumping up the lil gun load Lil gun 8" barrel 220gr ELD 8.0gr ave 1045fps 8.2gr ave 1084fps 8.4gr ave 1098fps Both the 8.2 and 8.4 gr loads went super in the ranch rifle So I went to cabelas and actually found a pound of CFE BLK and tried a few CFE BLK 8" barrel 220 ELD @ 2.212 9.9gr ave 935fps 10.5gr ave 988fps 11.4gr ave 1063fps All these loads cycled and locked the bolt open. Did not try these in the ranch rifle The CFE BLK loads seemed a little dirtier than lil gun and a little louder, but I assume the sound could have been more bolt velocity vs noise out the silco omega suppressor. I had read others info describing CFE BLK being gassy and why it cycles the AR even at very low velocities. Made me think about loading for open where gas is king. I had read about some guys using VV N105 & N110 for 300BO. Wondered if anyone has tried some of the open gassy powders like AA7 etc? Or have any good info to share here?
  11. Is the goal to have the top of the stock touching your shoulder while the bottom is touching your belt? LOL
  12. I think both 9 or 300 could over penetrate. Either way weapon lights are great tools. And go somewhere in the dark to see the effects of having a light behind your muzzle - you don't see how much smoke comes out of a gun until putting a very bright light behind the muzzle. I can look like a muzzle loader shooting unsuppressed. Something else to think about what if you are standing in your hall way with a very bright weapon mounted light and there is someone pointing a very bright weapon mounted light at you? How easy is it to identify who is behind those weapons?
  13. I have been enjoying this show The latest Beth quotes that made me rewind and listen to them again.... You are the trailer park. I am the tornado... oh dad. The blush was f*#ked out of me years ago...
  14. Yep Only having 10k primers on hand means I am almost out! Dad says you can't have too many guns or too much ammo....
  15. Back when I shot ICORE with light trigger job revolvers I used a hand prime tool after I loaded the ammo to make sure the primers were set and set hard in the pocket. Also had to use federal to make sure they went bang on the first try That poor BFR is a mess. Glad your OK I don't think my pants would have been after that
  16. Light strikes? Primers were not seated all the way. Whats your reloading method?
  17. I'd say get into reloading but machines and components are hard to get too. Usually there is a shooter at matches that will do some reloading for you. Ask around you might be surprised
  18. People got bored hording toilet paper and started getting the good stuff. All the small pistol primers and 22 ammo
  19. I have a Kowa. With the zoom eye piece at 60X I can see 22cal holes in the black at 300 yards And again the mount/stand is important. I have looked thru great glass on a mount that wiggles. It takes a lot away from the sight picture watching thru a wobbling scope
  20. Depending on what you trying to accomplish - a spotting scope on a good solid mount with higher magnification has advantages.
  21. Barrel whips different with the faster bullets. Less dwell time? Witchcraft?
  22. I heard that one issue to watch for using rifle or mag primers in low PF loads was not sealing around the primer because it is harder and having breach face erosion. Any truth in that rumor?
  23. I keep hoping magpul makes a MP5 drum that runs
  24. I don't have any MP5 lower ARs but do have a couple MP5s. Reviews on the ETS 40 rounders have not been very good over at HKpro. HK 30 round mags work great, the 38 round USA made mags work great loaded to about 36. I have tried the F5 drums and they are hit and miss on feeding in MP5s. Beta mags are way to big but fun on FA if they run. MPX mags are expensive but can add base pads to hold 40 or 50 and work great.
