  1. You have to determine if a given powder is temp sensitive(speeds up with warmer weather) or REVERSE temp sensitive( speeds up with colder weather) . Maybe you can search for it or see if somebody comes along and chimes in. BUT unless I saw overwhelming opinions one way or the other I wouldn’t load a metric ton of it. If you have a range that lets you park close to firing line you can put a box of reloads next to a heater vent and grab 10 at a time and chrono quickly. Then chrono some cold ammo. That should give you a rough idea of the direction your powder will go with temp swings.
  2. Indeed. A paper GM once chastised me for not listening to his advice on a stage. I finished and he said, “when a GM tells you something you should listen.” I literally never listened to another thing he said.
  3. Just get an 11? Or trade somebody?
  4. No kidding. I know a whole bunch of people that didn’t even stay in the game that long.??
  5. None of that is an issue. AND, sizing lower helps with any bulges that you might come across. There is a reason some reloaders mill off the bottom of the Dillon sizing die to bring the carbide ring lower. Sizing tighter by just a thousandth cures most any setback issue. As a matter of fact my original Dillon die was not sizing tight enough to hold MG bullets in Speer brass with its thinner case walls. LEE dies are pretty good.
  6. That real wide chamfer on the mouth keeps it from sizing all the way down like other brands of dies. Supposedly feeds better but my LEE and EGW feed just as well and size tighter and much lower. At less then half the cost. LEE is known for budget(junk)presses but their dies are the best for the money. And when I bought my press I fell for the Dillon dies like other newbs. The carbide ring cracked in the first month. Sure, they replaced it but I bought an EGW while waiting and have never gone back to Dillon. I do use it to deprime before wet tumbling but thats it.
  7. Just get another LEE die. What are they $20? 100% sure it’s the correct die? Try running it with the primer punch removed? Tight tolerance means nothing. Many run LEE and EGW undersized dies with lube and they are smooth as butter. This is a LEE issue, not a Dillon issue.
  8. Yeah, it’s on my to do list to watch the MBF run and see where/how it’s happening. Makes me miss my MG’s .
  9. Rational proposal- drop the ban hammer on newbies who are clearly posting nonsense in 10-12 yo posts for the obvious purpose of hitting 50. There are currently no less than three doing it as we speak.
  10. Disagree with what? Elaborate!!
  11. It’s out of control lately. But I was told to stay out of it and let the moderators handle it.
  12. Locally, we get the occasional classifier tossed. Sometimes for only being an inch or two out of spec. But field courses? We generally catch it soon enough to fix it. Then again our section is very CRO, RO heavy. We generally have several per squad locally. That helps.
  13. Merrell are my go-to shoes anymore. Nice and wide, light and waterproof if you want.
  14. Now you’re just an enabler. It’s obvious post bumping. I’m not the only one to notice or mention it, just the only one you felt like making a comment on. As for the language issue, yes I agree the forums are open to all , and didn’t need you or anyone else to point that out, but a bump is a bump in any language. Last time i’ll Send you a message to help out. I say let ‘em bump!!!
