  1. LOL! I need Twenty-Five 1.5 ohm 1% 200 watt resistors, Twenty-Five 2.0 ohm 1% 200 watt resistors and Twenty-Five 3.5 ohm 1% 200 watt resistors for each of 2 load cells. Hard to hand wind with 1% accuracy to fit the form factor and temperature requirements, been there done that, ain't doing it again! Plus I'm already working 50 hour weeks and this is only one of 7 projects I already have going. Nolan
  2. You left out the cost of labor, ie wages, benefits, etc..., the cost of property taxes building maintenance, licensing, inspections - explosives, remember- machine maintenance, etc... Yes, the cost of materials is relatively cheap, when you can get it. Supply chain is a major problem right now. I'm a manufacturing engineer in the Automated Test Equipment industry. I design and build electronic test equipment for use testing the printed circuit boards, power supplies, and the chip testing machines themselves, that our company sells. Right now I'm waiting on what used to be commonly available 200 watt wire wound resistors that now have a 60 week lead time. Unfortunately, I need 150 of them now and there aren't any available worldwide. Nolan
  3. I really miss hearing "Gas 'em up Cowboy!" RIP Mike Voigt. Nolan
  4. Do NOT lube the piston! Leave it dry, or you will have the same problem again. Nolan
  5. Once Fired Brass, https://www.oncefiredbrass.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=11 Currently out of stock, but frequently in stock and reasonably priced, good quality brass. I've bought a lot of brass from them, both pistol, 38 Super and rifle brass. Nolan
  6. Disassembly/Re-assembly videos less detailed version from Beretta
  7. I've been trading primers for eggs! Nolan
  8. The Gen 1 (?) 1301 Tactical owners manual is located here: https://manualzz.com/doc/56025046/beretta-1301-tactical-instruction-manual This is the same manual that came with mine, even though mine (Gen 2 ?) has the new style C5H273 cartridge latch button and the manual shows the C5F184 button used on the 1301 Comp. Nolan
  9. Flip your shotgun loading port up and slide a dummy round into the tube, the cartridge latch should look like this. If the cartridge latch looks like the second photo, either the latch is bent or something is holding the latch out of position. Nolan
  10. The 1301 Tactical has a different Cartridge Latch than the 1301 Comp. 1301 Comp Cartridge Latch https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/C5F184 1301 Tactical The difference is to prevent accidental double feeds that happen if the rear of the Comp style latch button is 'accidentally' depressed releasing two shells from the mag while the bolt is closed. This makes the Comp very easy to unload, just raise the lifter and press down on the back of the latch, but this drives the tactimmies crazy. The Tactical latch will also release shells from the tube with the bolt closed, but you have to lift up on the front of the latch button to release the shells. The Tactical latch button is a slip on cover. If the cover is too far forward it can overlap the handguard and hold the cartridge latch partially open. If the cover is overlapping the handguard, push it back off the handguard. If it's not on the handguard, try removing it by just pushing it off towards the muzzle. It may be necessary to either remove the handguard or lift the front of the latch while pushing. Then try loading the mag tube full, then chamber a dummy round. Nolan
  11. Awesome, only 1 year and 2 months and I am eligible for Grand Senior....er, what were we talking about? Nolan
  12. If you're loading with a 3 die set that seats and crimps on the same die, the crimp is happening too early and seating after crimping is bulging the neck/shoulder. Nolan
  13. I never got around to trying the Ti pin in my 15-22's. Trying to shave weight you know, but still managed to get it down to 48 ounces even without the Ti firing pin. Nolan
  14. I don't think they have near the engineering/production/service talent they had when Mike was alive. I think he personally was the drive there, it just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Look how long it has been taking them to actually bring product to the market, ie. 1100, 750, auto drive. Nolan
  15. Which is why video isn't allowed in arbitration. What looks like right on the edge of 180 in video may in fact be a long way from the 180, which is probably why he didn't see anything wrong in posting it. It's really hard to judge angles especially with wide angle lenses. I have many Hosercam and hat cam videos where it looks like I'm sweeping my weak hand during loading and unloading, but my hand is nowhere near being swept, it just looks that way to the wide angle lens. Nolan
  16. and a Forced Reset Trigger. I remember somebody used to sell an add-on gadget that clamped on the lever to trip the trigger every time you worked the lever. I remember seeing the adds in the back of magazines like Popular Mechanics or the like. Nolan
  17. It's not common, but it does happen on higher round count 15-22's especially with some aftermarket triggers. The AR trigger system is designed to hit the firing pin hard enough to set off military hard small rifle primers. The 15-22 doesn't seem to be as bad about breaking firing pins as the CMMG .22lr conversions. You can get better aftermarket firing pins from Bore Buddy $26.50 First class USPS w/insurance $5.95 +tax I have one in one of my 15-22's. https://borebuddy.com/product/1522-fp/ I also have the steel version in another 15-22 from FiringPins.com $22.00 for the steel $27.00 for the TI $4.00 First class USPS no insurance +tax. I haven't used the TI. https://www.firingpins.com/m-p-15-22-stainless-steel-firing-pin https://www.firingpins.com/m-p-15-22-titanium-firing-pin I have not used the TandemKross. $27.99 USPS standard $5.99 +tax. https://www.tandemkross.com/Fire-Starter-Firing-Pin-for-Smith-Wesson®-MP®-15-22_p_821.html Nolan
  18. Give Bushnell a call 1-800-504-5894, you might be surprised at what they will repair. Nolan
  19. What? Double plugged and too many years of shooting, Harleys, and concerts, so yeah, I've asked more than a few hundred times! LOL! Nolan
  20. LOL! I bought my first .22lr rifle at a Western Auto hardware store. I was 14. Nolan
  21. I chose the Taylor Freelance because the Techwell is kind of bland. Nolan
  22. That piece always breaks off on the SVI removable breechface, so I just save time and remove it with a Dremel cut-off wheel. You can do the same, then carefully round the edges to prevent stress risers at the sharp edges. The only hazard is the piece finally breaking off and jamming up the extractor or falling into the magazine and causing a failure to feed. Most of the time it probably just flies out the ejection port. I've never found one of the broken pieces IN my gun and I've broken 4 or 5 of them. Nolan
  23. Actually Tony will help you even if you don't put it in the Ruger Poly housing, it just will be with a good helping of sarcasm and more than a little ribbing! It also helps to offer sending Oatmeal Raisin or Chocolate Chip cookies. Nolan
