Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'll try that. I did take it out and put about 100 rounds through it. Other than having to really get the shells in the tube it ran without a hiccup. Light field loads to hot 00. I like it alot compared to the 930 SPX. Thanks for all the help everyone.
  2. I tore it down today and was going to remove the latch system. I got to the point of removing the flipper for the latch (to pull it out of the frame) and got kinda stumped. There isn't a screw or pin on this Gen II release lever ? I reefer on the plastic cover to slide it off but it didn't want to budge. I was trying to slide it forward off the lever. I can't find anything online about the Gen II removal. Has anyone removed this Gen II system ?
  3. Thanks Nolan. I kinda threw this on the back burner for a few days. I'm trying to get a new rifle set up for spring bear season. I do appreciate the help. I'm sure it's something minor. I'll try to get to this by the weekend and let you know what, or if I find something obvious.
  4. I will. I've been working on a new rifle I received the same day I got the Beretta. It obviously needs a tear down and inspection. And me familiarizing myself with it. Thanks again for the info.
  5. I'm fine with tearing it down if it's a basic system. I was thinking look for a video on the bolt release replacement and go from there. I've been busy mounting and swapping scopes for a new rifle so I'll try to get in there today and see what I've got. I appreciate the input. There has to be something in there, or something bent.
  6. No it doesn't. There's about 1/8" clearance there. It looks like the spring loaded tang on the latch is just not coming out all the way. I'm thinking get in there with some brake kleen and try to blow out that mechanism.
  7. Thanks GunCat. Ok, the latch springs back under it's own pressure, and I can't wiggle the shell and get it past the latch. The latch is barely holding the rim ( just about like Nolans second pic). If I load with my thumb until I feel the rim snap past the latch it'll pop the second one out onto the lifter. If I push the shell about 1/2" past where I feel the rim go past the latch it will load. But I have to push each one past the latch about 1/2". Which seems pretty excessive. My 930 SPX is just a snap past the latch. I'm starting to wonder if there isn't some crap up inside the latch tang or if the face of that latch has an issue ?
  8. Thanks again Nolan. I read somewhere that Beretta will send one if I can actually get ahold of them. That seems to be a chore. This one will give me what I need for now.
  9. Thank you. I clicked on it and didn't get anything. I see Nolan sent the factory one below. I'll check that one out too.
  10. I probably need to tear it down and clean everything and see if I can get in there and get a closer look at that latch assembly. No owners manual so it's time to Google disassembly. I appreciate the pic's Nolan that definitely helped. There's something up in that latch.
  11. Well, I just checked it and it's about half way between both of those pics. It definitely isn't protruded out on the case as far as your first pic. It's actually pretty close to the second pic.
  12. Thanks Nolan. I'll take a look at it. It's odd, last night it was every second round, every time. Today it was second, third, first. I think it's definitely in that latch. Could that latch have slid forward into the mag tube further ? Or is it a fixed position, and can't move fore or aft ?
  13. I'll keep that in mind. I haven't even had it broke down yet. Just pulled it out of the box yesterday and immediately went to scratching my head on loading the tube.
  14. All looks good there Nolan. I just tried it a few minutes ago and #3 made it in before it threw it on to the lifter. Tried it one more time and #1 went up onto the lifter. ?? I tried to send a pic of the bolt release lever but the file is too large. It's up, and clear of the handguard.
  15. It doesn't seem to be. The bolt is home, and the release is sticking up ?
