    Glock 24

Have a lone wolf on the gun now. Tried a caspian 35 slide and had the breech face crack around the striker hole where a circle around it popped out. Got it replaced. The new one was way too tight where it shouldnt be and told its gun smith fit. I understand fitting it to the frame etc but this was the FP would rub in the breech face as it came out, the vanek FP safety(wich is a touch smaller than factory from where he rounds it would barely fit and then there was no way it would move freely. The factory one wouldnt even come close. Both went back and I got the lone wolf. No problems at all and I like the look of the lone wolf better as well. On the lone wolf, if you dont want that ugly logo on the back of the slide, order it blind marked where all markings are hidden under the slide. The barrel can be ordered the same way
  2. Shows all the glock grip tape is for the gen 4. Any plans for gen 3 grip tape
  3. I would avoid any UTG, NC Star type scope. For a budget, get the 1x3 weaver V3. In the 160 buck range and is pretty good glass for the coin. If you upgrade later, you can recoup a decent amount of your investment.
  4. Walmart FEDERAL 100 round value pack
  5. Piece of shock buff between grip safety and MSH works also
  6. For a "budget" ammo I like the Federal Auto Match. Very reliable in my gun and is about 14 bucks for 325 rounds.
  7. Around here, dont really do prone in USPSA. Some low ports occasionally but pretty much kneeling then. Best thing to do would be ask the locals that shoot the matches as the stagers usually have a local trend depending on the match director. I know around here when we switched match directors the stages went from alot of hose fests to more accuracy requited stages
  8. its going to get expensive to check all the equipment. Thats one reason I never fly to a match regardless of distance
  9. Squad 2 was where the brownies were at. Ms Airdale makes some fine brownies
  10. Usually on shotgun If I plan one spare round, on the last target a quick double tap is done. Ya we were all very gental on placing the shotgun after that. At least the camera moved and the gun fire started again so the oh craps, that sucks etc from the peanut gallery were not on the tape
  11. I agree the barrel wasnt great. I agree some stages/barrels are more of an unnecessary risk than others. Shot one stage recently that was kind of an accident waiting to happen I thought. 18 shotgun targets then go to pistol. Sounds easy enough shoot 9 on 1 side, load 9 shoot 9 on the other. The last shot was a popper that activated a sliding target that went out of view. Problem I saw was to get the target to avoid penalties it was shoot and toss the gun in the barrel and it has to be empty since there really wasnt enough time to get safety on and draw and hit the target. If your 8+1 and you dont miss you KNOW your out of rounds on a semi. On a gun with less than that or you miss you might have that extra round in there when you shoot the last target. Also there is the chance of it hanging up on the barrel catcing on something and earn a trip home.Great match but that one shot kinda had me a litte uneasy .
  12. Overlay request dosent always work. Had a hole at a match that was definately oval and not round like the others grease ring all the way around the hole. Bravo Mike, Requested overlay, sorry it was a miss I watched it it must have been the angle yet the other targets all had round holes. Not a whole lot going to get done when RO wont pull out the overlay and shoves a paster over it.
  13. Ya saw it happen first hand as well it hit the bottom of the barrel and bounced out like it was on a trampoline.
  14. Your better off selling it than trading it in. If you do sell the sight and the gun apart as the sight won't be much of a selling point trading it in. Glock with the factory sights will trade in for about 300 bucks.
  15. run an extended FP in both my guns that have had W2R trigger work done. Both are light and never a problem. I have the Extreme engineering hammers
  16. Cerakote. I have had a pistol done in both and duracoat rubs off pretty quickly on the corners
  17. I found for a fast reload the 20round mag loads quicker for me than a 30. Bullets forward, it indexes just like a pistol mag
  18. I wouldnt bet on it being legal never seen it done. The tri-top will save quite a bit though
  19. Yes it can be shot 2 eyes forward. I run mine all the way up on the rail an with the adj stock I have set 1 notch out.
