  1. +1 no box for limited. I would definately get someone to check the mags on an official gauge with the arradondo base pads. It was posted here before about them being a touch too large because of the checkering on the bottom
  2. Run the tripps here as well and they work great. Why not just shoot SS with the 10 round mags as opposed to limited 10 with them. In lim 10 you have minor scoring and the same round cout as everyone else. In Ss at least you get those extra 2 rounds for the minor scoring
  3. I know your suppose to tumble the brass outside due to the lead in the cases but is there any problem doing this indoors with live rounds?
  4. prizes have been random drawing during the match in years past
  5. For production your pretty much stuck with the pretravel. For limited, the vanek, glocktriggers are they way to go.
  6. That is what I noticed on mine was it pointed different off the draw. It also didnt feel just quite right when I shot it either and I seemed to have to work at it more. It just feels more natural now with the arched
  7. I do the same. For me the arched MSH just makes the 1911 point more glock like than the flat one. It also has the hump in it more similar to a glock. I shot glocks for a while then had trouble switching back to the 1911s. Put the arched MSH in the gun and it just felt better for me at least. I say give it a try they are cheap. I personally like the Colt, polymer MSH to keep the weight down with the techwell magwell. Midway has them cheap so worth trying it out. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=280054
  8. Please buy a product marketed for strippers. It would make your squads job of ribbing SOOO much easier
  9. is the dark blue pretty close to the Factory STI grip blue? How does the grip tape ship out
  10. I heard somewhere that the PF for minor was set off factory ammo out of "standard" gun of the time the Browning Hipower. If the times and ammo change then maby it should be looked at. When I first started and really untill pretty recent shot al factory ammo. When I was went to a match with a chrono and no way to check it I simply asked someone who shot ALOT of ammo over the chrono Mr Skeeters, which ammo usually did not have a problem and took my chances
  11. Do it privately as not to embarriss the shooter. Just let him know to watch it and suggest ways to work on it ie pick a spot for the finger on the gun etc. Just word it as your trying to help him out as opposed to look how bad and unsafe you are.
  12. Just replace it with a factory std lenght
  13. Certain ammo does have a "better chance" of making minor than others. WWB is "usually" a safe bet
  14. Had to give my first DQ at a local 3 gun match. It was a newer left hand shooter moving left to right with the rifle broke the 180 BAD. At least no one took a 7.62x39mm round. He did take it well also
  15. I have it and wasnt that great. The videos the guy does on brians regular sight show just as much
  16. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=122516 Here is another tritopped slide of mine bobby did
  17. Just use the cheap stuff here as we do not have long range rifle here. For me just not worth the cost to get setup for what little rifle I would load
  18. Shot nothing but briley when I was shooting skeet mainly because of the HUGE discount. Any of the big names will work fine though it just depends on your gun but for this I don't see the pattern making that big of a difference.
  19. Hard decision now with the benning rules, shoot the gun i plan to use for the state match(maby) or bring out the shorty
  20. Mag well is legal in SS. You need to check for yourself to double check the fit. My SS fits with the Techwell XT magwell. The techwell allows you to use a polymer MSH to save weight. Make sure you check it with the mags as they are usually the problem. The 47de mags usually need a little shaved off the front of them
  21. I like the PWS washers. Its shims and works like a peel washer without having to peel it
  22. The cartridge does not have a rim like a revolver so how far it seats in the champer is off the front of the brass not the rim like in a revolver. Its the same reason you don't shoot 40sw in a 10mm even though the 40s can be loaded to 10mm length
