  1. I shot some shotgun after a car wreck that caused some pretty bad neck pain in the past when I shot skeet. On the shotgun. big thing is watching the recoil so light shells are your friend and compensate with a tighter choke. The good thing about the 930 is the gas system. For shotguns your trying to get low recoil out of, a light shell and a heavy gun help with actual recoil. A good recoil pad and a gas gun help with perceived recoil. The good thing about 3 gun is usually its not a ton of shotgun and its not all right there in a row
  2. Usually it states gun unsupported in the stage description
  3. 200 I think I'm gonna do a one and run on that ine
  4. I load autocomp for a glock open gun that I use as a backup and am running 6.8 of autocomp with a mg 124 cmj at 1.145 oal
  5. Try a 90 degree mount as the dot is right where the iron sights are. I agree Irons would be a disadvantage in open. I say in open the dot is a bigger advantage than the Comp.
  6. Give the 90 degree a try. It puts that glass right there where you iron sights are and no more searching for the dot when switching between irons and cmore
  7. clenzoil or use air freshiner and throw out the rags you have the CLP outside the room
  8. No I dont. It was one of the early ones before they became cool
  9. Cheely makes both a verticle offset as well as a 90 degree and a setback 90 degree. If anyone local has a 90 degree I would see how it indexes for you. If you shoot both iron and a dot the 90 degree is great. I'd it's open only it's not that big a deal
  10. Svi does but it's very pricy. If you give it a bit bobby from freedomgunworks has one in the works that be is saying will be much more reasonable
  11. Dryfire and practicing your draws is the best way. I just went to a 90 degree mount as I swithch between open and irons depending on the sport(3gun and uspsa mainly) and match(ss/production only match), It was just much easier to do that with the 90 degree as it itdexed the same regardless of irons or cmore. If I shot open only there wasnt a problem with the verticle mount but switching it took a bit to adjust
  12. Thats why I don't run one either. Shot a match this past weekend where a guy on our squad had a single shot as he had set the gun to run in 85 -90 degree weather this summer and when it hit the 30s the gun didnt run. Im just now upgrading to the rifle gas system and it will still have the non adj gas block and full weight carrier. I'll give up that little bit of extra flatness to not worry about the gun not running.
  13. Yes, its in a prismatic. Its probibally 3-4 years old. It Looks like the Illuminated Duplex shown in this site http://www.outdoorsupplies.co.nz/AllReticlesflattenedLgr.jpg
  14. Use the Anderson ones here S they are local. Basically an upper is an upper. The big thing is barrel and bolt
  15. That ammo is not steel core it is a bimetallic jacket and is not penetrator ammo.
  16. Dot us easier to shoot by far and helps your grip trigger control etc. no worrying about aligning sights just concentrate on the trigger pull
  17. Worst I did was I was bored and shot an indoor pistol rifle match my pistol was 6 inches and my rifle was 7.5. I put the Titan comp I just got for my regular 3 gun rifle on it and gave it a run. The ro wasn't to happy Sorry Corey lol
  18. Under 5.5.5 the ammo would need to be deemed unsafe and removed from the match he would then need to ignore that and continue using it to get a dq. I would like to know the reason for the dq
  19. Mine isnt ade anymore and is called the illuminated duplex. It is basically a + sign in the middle of the glass with thin lines then a break in the lines then thick lines going out toward the edges.
  20. I would just shoot it as it is without the lightening or get the 35
  21. More than one optic is open. Tactical is often called tac optic and is 1 magnified optic. Limited or tac iron is irons or 1 non magnified optic. Open is multiple optics
  22. If steel challenge is out then try some open minor. There is basically no recoil and the slide is super easy to rack especially with a slide racker. Your not dealing with reloads for the most part and allows you to work on the trigger pull movement etc in a gun thats super easy to shoot
