  1. Its an open gun so a Kydex rig really isnt practical. The Racer or Racemaster is hard to beat, the lock is very easy to disengage on the draw if need be ie weird start positions chair," bed" etc. When it is locked its not coming out and has more retention than Kydex
  2. We do 2 runs here as basically 2 matches ie scores nor combined you shoot what you want
  3. What he's wanting to do is move the holster farther out but not dropping it. I like the fixed stingray mount for the holster over the adjustable one or the tecklock
  4. The glock or mp is a good one to look R. Plenty of add ons available and with the extensions on the mag get 23 rounds in the mag
  5. Of your not shooting heavy metal then your giving up a ton of rounds to the 9mm guys
  6. Check out the primary arms mounts also
  7. Sarge, what about allowing a slide ride optic in L-10 for seniors as an experiment. Why did you start shooting open? What about the shooter who has bad eyes and has trouble with irons and is not a sr. That's the point if divisions is to have like equipment. The dot is the big advantage of open. I'd they can't see the sights there is open where they can add a dot. If they want to do it on the cheap they certainly can.
  8. Have a dedicated 22 Kimber here I am using for steel. The one im using is the factory complete 22 not a conversion
  9. Try a 13. I would be a little worried going lighter as I am not sure the 11 would have enough power to pass the slide test. I have both the 13 and 11 for my open glock if you want to give them a try sometime AT
  10. Run mine without one as I don't want anymore weight out in the front of the gun. Currently working on a putting together a light weight gun as Im currently running a 5.5 inch all steel upper. Going to go either factory "lite" or the tacsol In steel challenge its more transitions than anything
  11. I agree we don't need any more divisions. An optic is the big thing that makes open open. They are able to shoot open with a slide mounted optic if they have trouble seein the sights
  12. run the 124 CMJs in mine. They have an exposed base like the JHP so clean
  13. 3 guns that run a holster for your pistol someway to hold your shot shells use a load 2 vest here. Rifle mag pouches are nice but not really needed. I use a mag big enough for the stage and just chuck a spare in the back pocket. Shooters are usually more than willing to let you try out different gear and see how ya like it. A race holster isn't really needed or desired in 3 gun. If the safari land ALS is available for your gun I would recommend that. If not a blade tech retention is key for 3 gun
  14. Blade tech offers a very similar system that mounts on a regular belt
  15. Well when they meet you they have "cash money" and then want to drop the price like a brick as they wave some bills. That or you price something shipped and its a small pretty cheap item and they ask how much FTf somewhere about 150 miles round trip and get mad when you say will just ship it since the drive isnt worth it and will cost more than the 5 buck postage and they call you al you a scammer and report it to the sight seriously who's driving 150 miles and wasting a couple hrs when has is 3.50 a gallon on a 40 buck item
  16. Try the 90 degree before you go back to irons, if you dont like it it can be sold on the forum. It sitsright off the slide and indexes like irons.
  17. Light hammer travels faster than a heavy one with the same spring and gives it more if a jolt which makes it easier to set the primer. The heavy hammer is like a push the light one is like a jab
  18. +1 on wishing safari land would make a 6inch 2011als
