I really don't think any rule changes would help the division as its basically a dead division with the exception of a very few die hard shooters. All it would do is make the major shooters need to go to minor as that 2 rounds would be a pretty big advantage with the slower reloads. I don't think anything they do will bring it back from the dead

Talk to the small shoe repair shops. One around here will grind one to fit for like 8 bucks you just bring it in on the stock only since they aren't a gun ffl its not much different than a shoe heel. If you do I yourself move the pad in one direction and use a jig. The pachmar pads are easier to grind than say a kickeez the key is not letting the pad get too hot

I would say loaded or unloaded makes no difference. Just watch the person a little more carefully no matter what. If he removes mag racks slide and the puts a mag in and dosent touch the slide and pulls the trigger and pops the mag out then guess what the gun is unloaded. We need to use some common sense

If your looking for one installed check with carver. He installs them cheaper than sjc and does a great job. He did the one on mine and its epoxiied in and all

The 22 inch is 8+1 which is fine

That furring strip was so close it wouldn't have have mattered what choke or shell you had in the gun it would have still come out super tight

The takedown of the ruger is very overrated as to being overly difficult. Once you see it done a couple times its pretty easy

I say no max time. The pistol stages shouldn't take that long for a master to complete I agree most will run out of ammo before time. For 3 gun it's a good thing as guys will often waste forever shooting long steel they have no chance of hitting and go way over on time if they didn't have max time

more than 31 rounds without a reload ie more than 30 round mag is considered a machine gun

Loose grip screws can cause both those issues

Have you checked to make sure the grip screws are tight

Ruger is the cheapest and easiest to modify

You could use those mags to negotiate with as their value is much mess than a full capacity

Basically the "preban" hicaps are to be sold in a year which means open and limited are basically dead in that area. We might see some oldschool open guns being brought back out of the safe though

Why not add some Taylor freelance 170 mm extensions on the bottom if a 17 rounder. With the value if the 33 rounder these days your better off selling it over attempting to cut one up to make a mag.

You still basically killed limited open and 3 gun in that area i don't see many here selling their hicaps to buy 10 rounds to shoot 10 round open with a 3500+dollar gun or anyone outside the area shooting a 3 gun match with 10 round mags. The tubes you use are 126 tubes I don't think they will fit with an extended base pad either. The only way I could see one legally modified is to drill and weld a bar across limiting the capacity

In NY right now I think open and limited are going to be basically dead divisions and SS and revolver with pop back up. Who is going to shoot open or limited with 7 round mags. Heck it might give some of the more seasoned shooters a reason to dust off their old ss open guns
