  1. I have a PT EVO (AI) with Dawson magwell. Not fitting required.
  2. Those are the spring weights that I'm running in my 2 STIs, with 180gr bullets My PF is in the low 170's. Don't want to chance getting moved to minor over a few PFs points, that you really cannot feel at speed.
  3. I have a Kimber Target II in 9mm. I don't shoot it a lot but when I have it seems to function just fine.
  4. I have shot both 2011s (Edge) and CZ TSOs in Limited Major. You can't go wrong with either. My experience/opinions are noted below. TSO Comes with 3 magazines, add base pad/spring & follower to at least 1 mag (to get you to 20 +1) and you're GTG, no other updates needed No mag tuning required $1600-1750 price point, including 3 magazines Very reliable out of the box, especially if you reload and can adjust your OAL, as CZs typically require shorter OAL than 2011s 2011 Once tuned, my 2011s have have as reliable as my TSOs With STI dropping the Edge model, not many choices for sub $2000 2011 (new) Lots of customization available -triggers, grips (steel, plastic, aluminum), uppers, mag wells, etc.
  5. Wondering if the guys running into problems with STI Gen1 and grams guts are running 9mm or .40 pistols.. I have had zero issues with my STI Gen1 .40 mags, with Grams in my STI limited pistols.
  6. Yep, they have a few in stock https://czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-factory/cz-75-sp01-shadow-9mm-91154-black-cz-custom-exclusive.html
  7. No warranty? Guess that means no more STIs for me. Not that I've ever used the warranty on any of my STIs, it's nice to know the manufacturer stands behind their product.
  8. SP01 is a great gun for production. I shot one for a season and didn't feel that the gun was holding me back. Sure the first DA pull takes some getting used to, but the SA after that can be tuned to a very respectable smooth, easy pull. In any case, I wouldn't recommend either the S2 or SP01 for competing in limited division, there are better choices for this division.
  9. I just had my STI brand (looks similar in design to the bomar, maybe just relabeled) adjustable rear apart so that I could locktite the site to the frame and tighten the setscrew a bit more. When I had it apart I noticed that mine had both springs installed. I'm guessing it came this way from the factory. FWIW, I've never sheared an elevation screw on any of my limited guns.
  10. I've have not shot many 9mm brazos rounds, however I've used brazos .40s most of last season in my STI and didn't have any issues with leading. I wonder if barrel to bullet diameter is a factor that could result in increased leading, in addition to lead hardness
  11. Best spare parts kit around- Not trying to be too much of a wiseguy, but it's the quickest way to get back in the game.
  12. Absolutely the trigger pull/function may be impacted by the differences in how the sear spring sits in the grip and interacts with the firing control parts. When I installed my EVO grip on a fully functional pistol, I needed to adjust the sear spring, as the slight differences in angle/tolerances allowed the hammer to drop during the functional check.
  13. I've used this one on my CZs (at home) also. But I agree with another post, that this wouldn't be ideal to use at the range. For ~$50, I'm very happy with this unit.
  14. I'm considering either a replacement (CZ USA doesn't appear to sell replacements) or aftermarket/custom compensator for my Czechmate. What options are out there?
  15. This Dillon caliber conversion calculator should do the trick http://thegunwiki.com/apps/calconversion/
  16. Thanks for sharing your findings TD
  17. Although it appears to be well-intentioned, signs say this thread won't end well . Interesting way to introduce yourself to the forum. Good luck (truly) with your idea, we need to keep American innovation alive.
  18. Definitely need to de-grease and use some form of thread locker as a minimum.
  19. There's a very nice thread started by kneelingatlas that have lots of info on adding a comp to a TS. Most of this info would also be valid for the TSO. If you can get your frame tapped for an optic mount, shooting Open minor would expose you to Open division and the +/-'s of shooting with an optic. The TSO is a great pistol, whether it's Open minor or Limited minor, go out and enjoy shooting that fine pistol.
  20. Tested out the co-witness setup offered by CZ. Both sites sit low enough to not distract you, however do help with indexing. No substitute for practicing your presentation and muscle memory though. With that in mind I’m going to keep them installed for the time being.
  21. I noticed that CZ had the their co-witness sites and RMR/Holosun adapter back in stock last week. Came home today to find a CZ bundle of joy on my porch. Installed the new sites (originals were NS front and standard [no dot] rear) tonight and planning to try them out with my HS 507C tomorrow. I know some folks don't believe that co-witness should be used with USPSA toys, but I needed to find out for myself.
  22. That looks about right Steel_Guy. Your PF is slightly less than what I was getting (using a CM also) so I'm guessing these are jacketed bullets and/or you're loading them longer than ~1.10
  23. Yep 124gr projectiles. I've started load development with 115s also, so that I can compare the two. Haven't gotten to a load yet on the 115gr bullets that I'm happy with.
