  1. I think the Feds would have Sigs, Glocks don't cost enough. The NY Cop a POS .38 revolver The Security Guard a Ruger Black Hawk .44 mag The stolen gun would be a stainless Berretta 92 pimped out in stainless with fake ivory grips.
  2. Same bullet, same barrel, same accuracy. Ok someone might preach .355 vs. .356 but they are full of something if they think they aren't "practically" the same. BTW I shoot either .355 of .356 in my .38 super, it doesn't notice the difference.
  3. I HATE this attitude!!!!!!!!!!!! So what, not everybody is capable of managing a bank account either, should we just take everyone's money and give it to the government and have them decide what we should spend it on? Not everyone is capable of managing the rights of driving a car. Should everyone have to take "public transportation" or walk because of that? Not everyone can wipe thier butt well enough to keep their underwear clean, should the goverment have official butt wipers too? If there are a few armchair commandos that actually cause a problem (most are too afraid of everything to harm anyone) then we can just have the government take them out (ie. Waco.) I will stay armed not because I fear the government, but because I fear those that would give up their freedoms to someone who's ego is bigger than their brain, someone who's main concern is staying in power and geting re-ellected. I will make my personal safety my responsibility. Trust the baby kissers I will not.
  4. A couple things to keep in mind. .45's dont generate much gas, thus you would have to use a light bullet and push it REALLY fast to make the hybrid work well. The sight would be getting blasted with gas every shot if you put it up there and so you wouldn't want a fiber optic. You might have more success with the .38 super in that configuration. You might consider getting a threaded barrel that accepts a cone compesator and have a sleave made so that you could have .45 that was comped and one that was not in the same gun. The novelty of a comped .45 might wear off pretty quickly and it would be cool to be ale to switch back and forth. Just my 2 cents worth.
  5. I love them, I can buy their old stuff cheap
  6. I thought GM was a HOA class only. Our sections don't recognize GM's for anything other than that. It is a no trophy class basically.

  13. You can send me the $80 I doubt it is the magwell. Look at photos of Chris Tilley in FS or wherever, he is definitely a "open shooter" from a technique point of view. Elbows really bent, gun right in front of the face. The closer the gun is the more you can see "through" your sight also. Good luck Ron.
  14. My Limited class finally caught up with my L10 classification
  15. Ron, I don't know if this will help or not, but I was an open shooter first, then went to Limited. I didn't shoot my open gun all year until a week before nationals, and the first thing I observed imediately is I hold my open gun totally differently. My elbows are more down and gun the sight is closer to my face. With my open gun I can actually hold it about as close to my face as I dare without the slide hitting me in my nose. You can really "float" open guns much more than limited guns. I agree with Shred get it in front of your face. It may "feel" weird but it works.
  16. Don't we do that all the time? Isn't it called a reload? Life is an unsafe act, putting a magazine in a gun is much safer. It's called personal acountability. If making sure you have full mag in your gun isn't part of your start routine, then you might want to make it part of it. I personally yank on my mag as part of the LAMR just to make sure it is full seated. Draw one shot reload is a pretty embarassing thing to do. If the RO sees no mag of course help the competitor out, but it is the shooter's responsibility to LAMR.
  17. Erik, i'm glad ou proved Detlef wrong for once Ive broken a few aluminium ones, I would dare even consider a TI once. The RM is pretty dang light and mine has worked great.
  18. I would say "When you are ready, please assume the start position," if they don't assume it after a reasonable period of time. They generally either ask for more time, or ask what the start position is. If someone gave me lip about breaking their, concentration, I would reply something to the effect, "Would you like to continue or would you like to unload and show clear, and you can shoot when you are ready." Life is too short to let ignoramuses get under your skin, just be polite and move on to the next shooter who understands the COF and the start position. Maybe they will pay attention during the walk through next time As a stage RO for a big match I always demonstrate what is accepable during the walk through (for the sake of "trouble makers") Less headaches demonstrating it.
  19. From the inventor of the HoMeBoy sights
  20. you might find this interesting Glocks recalled Maybe it isn't a myth, and these were 45's not 40's (which I've seen 3 go boom.)
  21. Just another reason you need a 1050 station 2 swages the primer pocket.
  22. ditto for 40, new brass for .38 super, and all are guaged, and for major matches, all are weighed, I'm just paranoid. Proper prior planing prevents a piss poor performance.
