  1. Found them: Mag releases: https://www.jstacticaldesigns.com/mag-releases springs: https://www.rockyourglock.com/custom/RYG-RDMGCT.htm
  2. Yes they go in and out of the gun a lot easier than plastic mags. They hold 23+1. Same as a 2011 mag. I use a steel mag release. I had some Stainless and Titanium mag releases custom machines, I can’t remember the guy who made it anymore unfortunately. The custom machines ones fit much better into the Glock frame, the MBX one is cast and drags a little in the frame. I use a less powerful mag release button spring as well, can’t remember who made that either, haha sorry. Not too helpful, I guess, except to know that this stuff exists. Basically, these MBX mags are the same experience as 2011 mags. Same reliability and spring life too (which is definitely less than stock Glock springs). Hope that is helpful.
  3. They’re the best mags. They’re expensive. What specifically do you want to know?
  4. Footprint is shared with a lot of different optics but if the slide is milled specifically for an STS2 I imagine nothing will fit but an STS 2 unless you remill the slide
  5. I use Otto Noize Barrier for the plugs and Peltor sport tactical 500 with optional rechargeable battery and gel cups for the muffs. Comfy, goes all day. I use the expandable foam ear tips for the Ottos, which are also sold as Etymotic Research ER38-14F Foam Replacement Eartips.
  6. That’s awesome! Someone should make this for the masses for people like me who won’t take the time to make it.
  7. Honestly I would call Stuart Wong and tell him what your concerns on the primers are, and he’ll be able to configure the gun however you want. And while he’s at it, you can configure any of the other things like the trigger however you want and even get it DLC coated or hard chromed. That’s what I did.
  8. I have an A01 LD that CZ Customs made for me, took 6 months to make…and I haven’t shot it yet.
  9. I had a slide milled by them, they did a great job. I was recommended them by a local friend and have no regrets except that I should have gone Black Nitride instead of Cerakote but that was my own fault because I didn’t listen.
  10. I use dental picks to get some of the skin out too.
  11. Dan Heitzenrater at D2 Custom In Punxsutawney, PA can also do whatever you need. He’s getting things done pretty quickly and has good pricing too.
  12. Generally speaking, you want to reduce weight of the slide and add weight elsewhere. The reason to go steel plate is that the plate will be more durable, but the body of the optics are aluminum anyway. The screw holes in the steel will be harder to strip, but you should really be using a torque wrench to tighten the screws down, in which case you won’t strip it anyway unless you cross-thread them. Some may feel it’s better to elongate the holes on and ruin a 35 dollar plate rather than the body of a $600 optic. My original point was that it is too much of a pain in the butt to try to change out these plates on a regular basis. You will also have to either buy a ton of mags or change the base pads and springs and re-zero all the time. You’re going to have to choose one, and since I saw in another thread that you’re having the slide milled, you may as well stick with Carry Optics and buy another gun eventually for Production, which you never will, because you’ll like CO too much.
  13. As someone who literally changed (for the first time on a brand A01-LD) the iron sight plate to a steel RMR/SRO plate last night, I will say that it is a huge pain in the ass to change them out. You have to pin the plates each time with the extractor pin, which did not go easily, I broke a 1/16 punch. I would also imagine that if you changed it out frequently, you will eventually wear out that hole for the pin, and it may become too loose. So in other words, if you’re looking for something you can change frequently, this probably is not a good option. I know it’s expensive, but probably better to go two different guns or at least 2 different slides.
  14. Also, if the slide is closed, which it always is in open division doing a reload or a load, the ejector won’t get bent.
  15. Yeah but who cares about that? It doesn’t affect the function of the gun, and it will only get so deep.

    SP01 vs S2

Just so you guys know, it’s much cooler to like the original shadow better than the Shadow 2.
  17. What’s the downside here with the new mag release? Is the mag harder to seat with the new part? In open division, anyway, we never do slide lock reloads or loads so I don’t see over insertion as being a major issue?
  18. Before I break out the Dremmel… for the grams followers for the P-09 mags…do you have to cut off the tab for maximum round count like a 2011 follower? Thanks
  19. I will also add, that I’ve not found any springs that were off by very much of what they were labeled. Definitely none that were a full pound off. I cannot get consistent readings within 0.5 pounds.
  20. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I haven’t found them to be very repeatable with consistent readings, therefore, not very useful. It’s not like a calipers where 1.16 is 1.16.
  21. Otto noise Barrier with Peltor sport tactical 500 over the top.
  22. Yeah. I know. I didn’t say it to be funny, I don’t own an Infinity, and I don’t feel that way. I said it to make people think about what they’re doing in a different light.
